Psalms 101

1 A Psalm of David. I will sing of mercy and judgment: to thee, O LORD, will I sing.

ダビデの歌 わたしはいつくしみと公義について歌います。主よ、わたしはあなたにむかって歌います。

2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come to me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

わたしは全き道に心をとめます。あなたはいつ、わたしに来られるでしょうか。わたしは直き心をもって、わが家のうちを歩みます。

3 I will set no wicked thing before my eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

わたしは目の前に卑しい事を置きません。わたしはそむく者の行いを憎みます。それはわたしに付きまといません。

4 A perverse heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.

ひがんだ心はわたしを離れるでしょう。わたしは悪い事を知りません。

5 Whoever secretly slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart I will not endure.

ひそかに、その隣り人をそしる者をわたしは滅ぼします。高ぶる目と高慢な心の人を耐え忍ぶ事はできません。

6 My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.

わたしは国のうちの忠信な者に好意を寄せ、わたしと共に住まわせます。全き道を歩む者はわたしに仕えるでしょう。

7 He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.

欺くことをする者はわが家のうちに住むことができません。偽りを言う者はわが目の前に立つことができません。

8 I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all who practise wickedness from the city of the LORD.

わたしは朝ごとに国の悪しき者をことごとく滅ぼし、不義を行う者をことごとく主の都から断ち除きます。
