Psalms 10

1 Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?

۱ ای خداوند چرا دور ایستاده‌ای و خودرا در وقت های تنگی پنهان می‌کنی؟

2 The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.

۲ از تکبر شریران، فقیر سوخته می‌شود؛ درمشورت هایی که اندیشیده‌اند، گرفتار می‌شوند.

3 For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth.

۳ زیرا که شریر به شهوات نفس خود فخر می‌کند، و آنکه می‌رباید شکر می‌گوید و خداوند را اهانت می‌کند.

4 The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.

۴ شریر در غرور خود می‌گوید: «بازخواست نخواهد کرد.» همه فکرهای او اینست که خدایی نیست.

5 His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.

۵ راههای او همیشه استوار است. احکام تو از او بلند و بعید است. همه دشمنان خود را به هیچ می‌شمارد.

6 He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.

۶ در دل خود گفته است: «هرگزجنبش نخواهم خورد، و دور به دور بدی رانخواهم دید.»

7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.

۷ دهن او از لعنت و مکر و ظلم پر است؛ زیرزبانش مشقت و گناه است؛

8 He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are secretly set against the poor.

۸ در کمینهای دهات می‌نشیند؛ در جایهای مخفی بی‌گناه را می‌کشد؛ چشمانش برای مسکینان مراقب است؛

9 He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.

۹ در جای مخفی مثل شیر در بیشه خود کمین می‌کند؛ به جهت گرفتن مسکین کمین می‌کند؛ فقیر را به دام خود کشیده، گرفتار می‌سازد.

10 He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones.

۱۰ پس کوفته وزبون می‌شود؛ و مساکین در زیر جباران اومی افتند.

11 He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it.

۱۱ در دل خود گفت: «خدا فراموش کرده است؛ روی خود را پوشانیده و هرگزنخواهد دید.»

12 Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up thy hand: forget not the humble.

۱۲ ‌ای خداوند برخیز! ای خدا دست خود رابرافراز! و مسکینان را فراموش مکن.

13 Why doth the wicked despise God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.

۱۳ چراشریر خدا را اهانت کرده، در دل خود می‌گوید: «تو بازخواست نخواهی کرد؟»

14 Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to repay it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself to thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.

۱۴ البته دیده‌ای زیرا که تو بر مشقت و غم می‌نگری، تا به‌دست خود مکافات برسانی. مسکین امر خویش را به توتسلیم کرده است. مددکار یتیمان، تو هستی.

15 Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou shalt find none.

۱۵ بازوی گناهکار را بشکن. و اما شریر را ازشرارت او بازخواست کن تا آن را نیابی.

16 The LORD is King for ever and ever: the heathen have perished out of his land.

۱۶ خداوند پادشاه است تا ابدالاباد. امت‌ها اززمین او هلاک خواهند شد.

17 LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thy ear to hear:

۱۷ ‌ای خداوندمسالت مسکینان را اجابت کرده‌ای، دل ایشان رااستوار نموده‌ای و گوش خود را فراگرفته‌ای،

18 To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.

۱۸ تایتیمان و کوفته شدگان را دادرسی کنی. انسانی که از زمین است، دیگر نترساند.
