Proverbs 23
1 When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee:
Дакэ стай ла масэ ла унул дин чей марь, я сяма че ай динаинте:
2 And put a knife to thy throat, if thou art a man given to appetite.
пуне-ць ун куцит ын гыт, дакэ ешть пря лаком.
3 Be not desirous of his dainties: for they are deceitful food.
Ну пофти мынкэруриле луй алесе, кэч сунт о хранэ ыншелэтоаре!
4 Labour not to be rich: cease from thy own wisdom.
Ну те кинуи ка сэ те ымбогэцешть, ну-ць пуне причеперя ын ачаста!
5 Wilt thou set thy eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make to themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.
Абя ць-ай арункат окий спре еа, ши ну май есте; кэч богэция ышь фаче арипь ши, ка вултурул, ышь я зборул спре черурь.
6 Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his delicacies:
Ну мынка пыня челуй пизмаш ши ну пофти мынкэруриле луй алесе,
7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
кэч ел есте ка унул каре ышь фаче сокотелиле ын суфлет! „Мэнынкэ ши бя”, ыць ва зиче ел, дар инима луй ну есте ку тине.
8 The morsel which thou hast eaten shalt thou vomit up, and lose thy sweet words.
Буката пе каре ай мынкат-о о вей вэрса ши кувинтеле плэкуте пе каре ле вей спуне сунт пердуте.
9 Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.
Ну ворби ла урекя челуй небун, кэч ел несокотеште кувинтеле тале ынцелепте!
10 Remove not the old landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless:
Ну мута хотарул вэдувей ши ну интра ын огорул орфанилор,
11 For their redeemer is mighty; he shall plead their cause with thee.
кэч Рэзбунэторул лор есте путерник: Ел ле ва апэра причина ымпотрива та.
12 Apply thy heart to instruction, and thy ears to the words of knowledge.
Дескиде-ць инима ла ынвэцэтурэ ши урекиле ла кувинтеле штиинцей!
13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.
Ну круца копилул де мустраре, кэч, дакэ-л вей лови ку нуяуа, ну ва мури!
Ловинду-л ку нуяуа, ый скоць суфлетул дин Локуинца морцилор. (Sheol h7585)
15 My son, if thy heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine.
Фиуле, дакэ-ць ва фи инима ынцеляптэ, инима мя се ва букура;
16 Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things.
ши лэунтрул меу се ва весели кынд бузеле тале вор спуне че есте бине.
17 Let not thy heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long.
Сэ ну-ць пизмуяскэ инима пе чей пэкэтошь, чи сэ айбэ тотдяуна фрикэ де Домнул,
18 For surely there is an end; and thy expectation shall not be cut off.
кэч есте о рэсплатэ ши ну ци се ва тэя нэдеждя.
19 Hear thou, my son, and be wise, and guide thy heart in the way.
Аскултэ, фиуле, ши фий ынцелепт; ындряптэ-ць инима пе каля чя дряптэ!
20 Be not among winebibbers; among gluttonous eaters of flesh:
Ну фи принтре чей че бяу вин, нич принтре чей че се ымбуйбэ ку карне!
21 For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.
Кэч бецивул ши чел че се дедэ ла ымбуйбаре сэрэческ, ши аципиря те фаче сэ порць здренце.
22 Hearken to thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old.
Аскултэ пе татэл тэу, каре те-а нэскут, ши ну несокоти пе мамэ-та кынд а ымбэтрынит.
23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.
Кумпэрэ адевэрул – ши ну-л винде –, ынцелепчуня, ынвэцэтура ши причеперя.
24 The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.
Татэл челуй неприхэнит се веселеште ши чел че дэ наштере унуй ынцелепт се букурэ.
25 Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bore thee shall rejoice.
Сэ се букуре татэл тэу ши мама та, сэ се веселяскэ чя каре те-а нэскут.
26 My son, give me thy heart, and let thy eyes observe my ways.
Фиуле, дэ-Мь инима та ши сэ гэсяскэ плэчере окий тэй ын кэиле Меле!
27 For an harlot is a deep ditch; and an adulteress is a narrow pit.
Кэч курва есте о гроапэ адынкэ ши стрэина, о фынтынэ стрымтэ.
28 She also lieth in wait as for a prey, and increaseth the transgressors among men.
Еа пындеште ка ун хоц ши мэреште ынтре оамень нумэрул челор стрикаць.
29 Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes?
Але куй сунт ваетеле? Але куй сунт офтэриле? Але куй сунт неынцелеӂериле? Але куй сунт плынӂериле? Але куй сунт рэнириле фэрэ причинэ? Ай куй сунт окий роший?
30 They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine.
Але челор че ынтырзие ла вин ши се дук сэ голяскэ пахарул ку вин аместекат.
31 Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth its colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.
Ну те уйта ла вин кынд курӂе рошу ши фаче мэргэритаре ын пахар; ел алунекэ ушор,
32 At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.
дар пе урмэ ка ун шарпе мушкэ ши ынцяпэ ка ун басилиск.
33 Thy eyes shall behold strange things, and thy heart shall utter perverse things.
Окий ци се вор уйта дупэ фемеиле алтора ши инима ыць ва ворби простий.
34 And thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast.
Вей фи ка ун ом кулкат ын мижлокул мэрий, ка ун ом кулкат пе вырфул унуй катарг.
35 They have stricken me, shalt thou say, and I was not sick; they have beaten me, and I felt it not: when shall I awake? I will seek it yet again.
„М-а ловит …, дар ну мэ доаре!… М-а бэтут…, дар ну симт нимик! Кынд мэ вой трези? Май вряу вин!”
