Proverbs 17
1 Better is a dry morsel, and quietness with it, than an house full of sacrifices with strife.
Қурбанлиқ гөшлиригә толған җедәллик өйдин, Бир чишләм қуруқ нан йәп, көңүл течлиқта болған әвзәл.
2 A wise servant shall have rule over a son that causeth shame, and shall have part of the inheritance among the brethren.
Хизмәткар чевәр болса, ғоҗисиниң номуста қойғучи оғлини башқурар; Кәлгүсидә у ғоҗиниң оғли қатарида туруп униң мирасни тәқсим қилар.
3 The refining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the LORD trieth the hearts.
Сапал қазан күмүчни тавлар, чанақ алтунни тавлар, Бирақ адәмниң қәлбини Пәрвәрдигар синар.
4 A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a mischievous tongue.
Қәбиһ киши яман сөзләргә ишинәр; Ялғанчи питничиләрниң сөзигә қулақ салар.
5 He that mocketh the poor reproacheth his Maker: and he that is glad at calamities shall not be unpunished.
Мискинләрни мәсқирә қилғучи, өзини Яратқучини һақарәтлигүчидур; Башқиларниң бәхитсизлигидин хошал болған киши җазасиз қалмас.
6 Children’s children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children is their fathers.
Қериларниң нәврилири уларниң таҗидур; Пәрзәнтләрниң пәхри уларниң атилиридур.
7 Excellent speech becometh not a fool: much less do lying lips a prince.
Ахмақ яришиқ гәп қилса униңға ярашмас; Мөтивәр ялған сөзлисә униңға техиму ярашмас.
8 A bribe is as a precious stone in the eyes of him that hath it: wherever it turneth, it prospereth.
Пара — уни бәргүчиниң нәзиридә есил бир гөһәрдур; Гоя уни нәгила ишләтсә мувәппәқийәткә еришидиғандәк.
9 He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends.
Башқиларниң хаталиқини йопутуп кәчүргән киши меһир-муһәббәтни көзләр; Кона хаманни сориған киши йеқин достларни дүшмән қилар.
10 A reproof entereth more into a wise man than an hundred stripes into a fool.
Ақиланигә сиңгән бир еғиз тәнбиһ, Ахмаққа урулған йүз дәрридин үнүмлүктур.
11 An evil man seeketh only rebellion: therefore a cruel messenger shall be sent against him.
Яманлар пәқәт асийлиқни көзләр; Уни җазалашқа рәһимсиз бир әлчи әвәтиләр.
12 Let a bear robbed of her whelps meet a man, rather than a fool in his folly.
Әхмиқанә иш қиливатқан надан кишигә учрап қалғандин көрә, Балилиридин айрилған ейиққа йолуғуп қалған яхши.
13 Whoever rewardeth evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house.
Кимки яхшилиққа яманлиқ қилса, Ишигидин балайиқаза нери кәтмәс.
14 The beginning of strife is as when one letteth out water: therefore withdraw from contention, before it be meddled with.
Җедәлниң башлиниши тосмини су елип кәткәнгә охшайду; Шуңа җедәл партлаштин авал талаш-тартиштин қол үзгин.
15 He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD.
Яманни ақлиған, Һәққанийға қара чаплиған, Охшашла Пәрвәрдигарға жиркиничликтур.
16 Why is there a price in the hand of a fool to get wisdom, seeing he hath no heart to it?
Ахмақниң көңли даналиқни әтиварлимиса, Қандақму униң қолида даналиқни сетивалғидәк пули болсун?
17 A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
[Һәқиқий] дост һәрдайим саңа муһәббәт көрситәр, [Һәқиқий] қериндаш яман күнүң үчүн ярдәмгә дунияға кәлгәндур.
18 A man void of understanding striketh hands, and becometh surety in the presence of his friend.
Әқилсиз киши қол берип, Йеқини үчүн кепил болиду.
19 He loveth transgression that loveth strife: and he that exalteth his gate seeketh destruction.
Җедәлгә амрақ гунаға амрақтур; Босуғини егиз қилған һалакәтни издәр.
20 He that hath a perverse heart findeth no good: and he that hath a perverse tongue falleth into mischief.
Нийити бузулған яхшилиқ көрмәс; Тилида һәқ-наһәқни астин-үстүн қилғучи балаға йолуқар.
21 He that begetteth a fool doeth it to his sorrow: and the father of a fool hath no joy.
Бала ахмақ болса, ата ғәм-қайғуға патар; Һамақәтниң атиси хушаллиқ көрмәс.
22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
Шат көңүл шипалиқ доридәк тәнгә давадур; Сунуқ роһ-дил адәмниң илигини қурутар.
23 A wicked man taketh a bribe out of the bosom to pervert the ways of judgment.
Чирик адәм йәң ичидә парини қобул қилар; У адаләтниң йолини бурмилар.
24 Wisdom is before him that hath understanding; but the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth.
Даналиқ йорутулған кишиниң көз алдида турар; Бирақ әқилсизниң көзи хиялкәшлик қилип қутупта жүрәр.
25 A foolish son is a grief to his father, and bitterness to her that bore him.
Галваң бала атини азапға салар; Уни туққучиниңму дәрди болар.
26 Also to punish the just is not good, nor to strike princes for equity.
Һәққанийларға җәриманә қоюшқа қәтъий болмас; Әмирләрни адаләтни қоллиғини үчүн думбалашқа болмас.
27 He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.
Билими бар киши кам сөзлүк болар; Йорутулған адәм қалтис еғир-бесиқ болар.
28 Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.
Һәтта ахмақму аз сөзлисә дана һесаплинар; Тилини тизгинлигән киши данишмән санилар.
