Philippians 3
1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not tedious, but for you it is safe.
Por lo demás, hermanos, alegraos en el Señor. No me pesa escribiros las mismas cosas, y para vosotros es de provecho;
2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the false circumcision.
guardaos de los perros, guardaos de los malos obreros, guardaos de los mutilados.
3 For we are the true circumcision, who worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
Porque la circuncisión somos nosotros los que adoramos a Dios en espíritu y ponemos nuestro orgullo en Cristo Jesús, sin poner nuestra confianza en la carne,
4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath reason to trust in the flesh, I more:
aunque yo tendría motivos para confiar aún en la carne. Si hay alguien que cree que puede confiar en la carne, más lo puedo yo:
5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; with respect to the law, a Pharisee;
circuncidado al octavo día, del linaje de Israel, de la tribu de Benjamín, hebreo de hebreos; en cuanto a la ley, fariseo;
6 Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; with respect to the righteousness which is by the law, blameless.
en cuanto al celo, perseguidor de la Iglesia; e irreprensible en cuanto a la justicia de la Ley.
7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
Pero estas cosas que a mis ojos eran ganancia, las he tenido por daño a causa de Cristo.
8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them to be dung, that I may win Christ,
Más aún, todo lo tengo por daño a causa de la preexcelencia del conocimiento de Cristo Jesús, mi Señor. Por Él lo perdí todo; y todo lo tengo por basura con tal de ganar a Cristo
9 And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith:
y en Él hallarme —no teniendo justicia mía, la de la Ley, sino la que es por la fe en Cristo, la justicia que viene de Dios fundada sobre la fe
10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable to his death;
de conocerlo a Él y la virtud de su Resurrección y la participación de sus padecimientos— conformado a la muerte Suya,
11 If by any means I may attain to the resurrection of the dead.
por si puedo alcanzar la resurrección, la que es de entre los muertos.
12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I press on, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended by Christ Jesus.
No es que lo haya conseguido ya, o que ya esté yo perfecto, antes bien sigo por si logro asir aquello para lo cual Cristo Jesús me ha asido a mí.
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forward to those things which are before,
No creo, hermanos, haberlo asido; mas hago una sola cosa: olvidando lo que dejé atrás y lanzándome a lo de adelante,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
corro derecho a la meta, hacia el trofeo de la vocación superior de Dios en Cristo Jesús.
15 Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye are otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this to you.
Todos los que estamos maduros tengamos este sentir; y si en algo pensáis de diferente manera, también sobre eso os ilustrará Dios.
16 Nevertheless, to what we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
Mas, en lo que hayamos ya alcanzado, sigamos adelante [en un mismo sentir].
17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them who walk even as ye have us for an example.
Sed conmigo imitadores, hermanos, observad bien a los que se comportan según el ejemplo que tenéis en nosotros.
18 ( For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
Porque muchos de los que andan son —como a menudo os lo he dicho y ahora lo repito con lágrimas— enemigos de la cruz de Cristo,
19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
cuyo fin es la perdición, cuyo dios es el vientre y cuya gloria es su vergüenza, teniendo el pensamiento puesto en lo terreno.
20 For our citizenship is in heaven; from which also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
En cambio la ciudadanía nuestra es en los cielos, de donde también, como Salvador, estamos aguardando al Señor Jesucristo;
21 Who shall change our lowly body, that it may be fashioned like his glorious body, according to the working by which he is able even to subdue all things to himself.
el cual vendrá a transformar el cuerpo de la humillación nuestra conforme al cuerpo de la gloria Suya, en virtud del poder de Aquel que es capaz para someterle a Él mismo todas las cosas.
