Philippians 1

1 Paul and Timothy, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:

2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,

4 Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,

5 For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

6 Being confident of this very thing, that he who hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

7 Even as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

8 For God is my witness, how greatly I long after you all in the affection of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ i itna sung ah na vekpi uh in bangza in hong phawk khi ziam, ci sia Pathian ka tetti a hihi.

9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;

Taciang na ki itna uh sia heakna le thukhenna theampo sung ah tam seseam a khan natu ahizong;

10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;

11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

Jesus Christ tungtawn in thutang suana i nga te taw kidim a, Pathian minthanna le pokna na hi thei natu uh in, thu ka ngen hi.

12 But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened to me have fallen out rather to the furtherance of the gospel;

13 So that my bonds in Christ are known in all the palace, and in all other places;

Tua ahikom tua Christ i sung ah ka thongtakna sia kumpi innsung theampo le mun tatuam ah kilang hi;

14 And many of the brethren in the Lord, being more confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

15 Some indeed preach Christ even from envy and strife; and some also from good will:

16 The one preach Christ from contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:

Pawlkhat te in Christ thu sia ki enna taw hil uh a, thintak taw a hil bua uh hi, keima thongtakna sia haksatna ki belap tu in ngaisun uh hi:

17 But the other from love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.

Ahihang a dang pawlkhat te in keima sia lungdamna thupha a panpui tu in hong ki koi ka hi siahe a, itna taw phuang uh hi.

18 What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I in this do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

Tabang ahile bang hi tu ziam? Ahi tazong, a son theam uh ahizong, a hibale, thuman taw ahizong, bangbang po ahizong Christ thuhil ahi na uh le ka lungdam hi, taciang maisang zong ka lungdam suak tu hi.

19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

Banghangziam cile na thu ngetna uh le Jesus Christ i Thaa panpui na tungtawn in hi thu sia ka suatakna hong suak tu hi, ci ka he hi,

20 According to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether by life, or by death.

21 For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Banghangziam cile keima atu in nuntak na sia Christ a hihi, taciang thina zong phattuamna om hi.

22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I know not.

Ahizong ka pumpi sung ah ka nungta ahile, hisia in ka nasep i nga a hihi: ahihang bang teal zaw tu ci sia ka he bua hi.

23 For I am in a strait between the two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

Banghangziam cile thu ni ki laklaw a ciak na mun ah ka om hi, pusuak a, Christ taw omkhop tu ka uk hi; tasia thu phazaw pek hi:

24 Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

Ahihang pumpi sung ah om tu sia note atu in kisam zaw hi.

25 And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;

Taciang hi ki muanna ka nei hu in, na upna uh i lungdamna a tam seseam thei natu in, pumpi sung ah om tu sia note theampo taw kizom in ka om tu hi, ci ka he hi;

26 That your rejoicing for me may be more abundant in Jesus Christ by my coming to you again.

Tabang in note kung ah kong paikik na tungtawn in Jesus Christ sung ah keima atu in na lungdamna uh sia dimlet seseam tu hi.

27 Only let your conduct be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

28 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God.

29 For to you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

Banghangziam cile note kung ah Christ taang in ama up tu bek in hong pia ngawl a, Ama atu in thuak tu zong hong pia hi;

30 Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.
