Nehemiah 11

1 And the rulers of the people dwelt at Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts to dwell in other cities.

2 And the people blessed all the men, that willingly offered themselves to dwell at Jerusalem.

3 Now these are the chief of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem: but in the cities of Judah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, that is, Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon’s servants.

4 And at Jerusalem dwelt certain of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin. Of the children of Judah; Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalaleel, of the children of Perez;

४यरूशलेमेमध्ये काही यहूदी आणि बन्यामीनी घराण्यातील व्यक्ती राहत होत्या. यरूशलेमामध्ये आलेले यहूदाचे वंशज पुढीलप्रमाणेः उज्जीयाचा पुत्र अथाया, जखऱ्याचा पुत्र, अमऱ्याचा पुत्र आणि अमऱ्या शफाट्याचा. शफाट्या महललेलचा. महललेल हा पेरेसचा वंशज.

5 And Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Colhozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of Shiloni.

6 All the sons of Perez that dwelt at Jerusalem were four hundred and sixty and eight valiant men.

8 And after him Gabbai, Sallai, nine hundred and twenty and eight.

11 Seraiah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, was the ruler of the house of God.

12 And their brethren that performed the work of the house were eight hundred and twenty and two: and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashur, the son of Malchiah,

१२आणि त्यांचे आठशे बावीस भाऊबंद मंदिराचे काम करत होते. आणि यरोहामाचा पुत्र अदाया (यरोहाम पलल्याचा पुत्र. पलल्या अम्सीचा, जखऱ्याचा पुत्र, जखऱ्या पशहूरचा आणि पशहूर मल्कीयाचा).

13 And his brethren, heads of the fathers’ houses, two hundred and forty and two: and Amashai the son of Azareel, the son of Ahasai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer,

14 And their brethren, mighty men of valour, an hundred and twenty and eight: and their overseer was Zabdiel, the son of one of the great men.

15 Also of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hashub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni;

१५लेवी पुढीलप्रमाणेः हश्शूबचा पुत्र शमाया, हश्शूब अज्रीकामचा पुत्र, अज्रीकाम हशब्याचा, हशब्या बुन्नीचा

16 And Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chief of the Levites, had the oversight of the outward business of the house of God.

१६शब्बथई आणि योजाबाद हे दोघे लेव्यांचे प्रमुख होते आणि देवाच्या मंदिराबाहेरच्या कारभाराचे ते प्रमुख होते.

17 And Mattaniah the son of Micha, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, was the chief to begin the thanksgiving in prayer: and Bakbukiah the second among his brethren, and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.

18 All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred and eighty and four.

१८या पवित्र नगरात दोनशे चौऱ्याऐंशी लेवी राहायला गेले.

19 Moreover the porters, Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren that kept the gates, were an hundred and seventy and two.

१९यरूशलेमामध्ये गेलेले द्वारपाल असेः अक्कूब, तल्मोन आणि त्यांचे भाऊबंद एकशे बहात्तर होते.

20 And the rest of Israel, of the priests, and the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, every one in his inheritance.

२०बाकीचे इस्राएली लोक आणि याजक तसेच लेवी यहूदाच्या वेगवेगळया नगरांमध्ये आपापल्या वडिलोपार्जित वतनांमध्ये राहिले.

21 But the Nethinims dwelt in Ophel: and Ziha and Gispa were over the Nethinims.

22 The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph, the singers were over the business of the house of God.

२२बानीचा पुत्र उज्जी हा यरूशलेममधील लेवीचा प्रमुख होता. बानी हशब्याचा, हशब्या मत्तन्याचा, मत्तन्या मीखाचा पुत्र. उज्जी हा आसाफचा वंशज. आसाफचे वंशज गायक असून देवाच्या मंदिरातील सेवेची जबाबदारी त्यांच्यावर होती.

23 For it was the king’s commandment concerning them, that a certain portion should be for the singers, as every day required.

२३ते राजाज्ञा पाळत. गायकांनी दररोज काय करायचे ते आज्ञेत सांगितलेले असे.

24 And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabeel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king’s hand in all matters concerning the people.

२४राजाचा हुकूम काय आहे हे पथह्या लोकांस सांगत असे. पथह्या हा मशेजबेल याचा पुत्र. मशेजबेल जेरहच्या वंशातला होता. जेरह यहूदाचा पुत्र.

25 And for the villages, with their fields, some of the children of Judah dwelt at Kirjatharba, and in its villages, and at Dibon, and in its villages, and at Jekabzeel, and in its villages,

२५यहूदातील काही लोक ज्या खेड्यात आणि आपल्या शेतामध्ये राहत ती अशीः किर्याथ-आर्बात व त्याच्या आसपासची खेडी. दिबोन आणि त्याच्या भोवतालची खेडी. यकब्सेल आणि त्या भोवतालची खेडी,

26 And at Jeshua, and at Moladah, and at Bethphelet,

27 And at Hazarshual, and at Beersheba, and in its villages,

28 And at Ziklag, and at Mekonah, and in its villages,

29 And at Enrimmon, and at Zareah, and at Jarmuth,

30 Zanoah, Adullam, and in their villages, at Lachish, and its fields, at Azekah, and in its villages. And they dwelt from Beersheba to the valley of Hinnom.

३०जानोहा, अदुल्लम ही नगरे आणि त्यांच्या आसपासची खेडी, लाखीश आणि त्याच्या भोवतालची शेतीवाडी, अजेका आणि त्याभोवतीची खेडी. अशाप्रकारे यहूदाचे लोक बैर-शेबापासून हिन्नोमच्या खोऱ्यापर्यंतच्या भागात राहत होते.

31 The children also of Benjamin from Geba dwelt at Michmash, and Aija, and Bethel, and in their villages,

३१गिबातील बन्यामीनच्या कुळातले वंशज मिखमाश, अया, बेथेल ही नगरे व त्या भोवतालची खेडी

32 And at Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,

३२अनाथोथ, नोब, अनन्या,

33 Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,

34 Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,

३४हादीद, सबोइम, नबल्लट,

35 Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen.

36 And of the Levites were divisions in Judah, and in Benjamin.

३६लेवीच्या कुळातील यहूदाचे काही गट बन्यामीनांच्या प्रदेशात गेले.
