Luke 19
1 And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.
Und er gieng nach Jericho hinein und zog hindurch.
2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, who was the chief among the tax collectors, and he was rich.
Und siehe, da war ein Mann, Namens Zakchäus, der war Oberzöllner und war reich.
3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the crowd, because he was little of stature.
Und er suchte Jesus von Person zu sehen und da es ihm vor dem Volke nicht gelang, weil er von kleiner Gestalt war,
4 And he ran before, and climbed up upon a sycamore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
so lief er voraus und stieg auf einen Maulbeerfeigenbaum, um ihn zu sehen, denn dort mußte er durchkommen.
5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said to him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.
Und wie er an den Ort kam, sah Jesus auf und sagte zu ihm: Zakchäus, steige eilends herunter, denn heute muß ich in deinem Hause rasten.
6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.
Und er stieg eilends herunter und bewillkommte ihn.
7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.
Und da sie es sahen, murrten alle und sagten: er ist bei einem sündigen Mann zur Herberge eingetreten.
8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said to the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
Zakchäus aber trat hin und sprach zu dem Herrn: siehe, die Hälfte meines Geldes, Herr, gebe ich den Armen, und wenn ich einen übernommen habe, gebe ich es vierfach zurück.
9 And Jesus said to him, This day is salvation come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham.
Jesus aber sagte zu ihm: heute ist diesem Hause Heil widerfahren, ist er doch auch ein Sohn Abrahams.
10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Denn der Sohn des Menschen ist gekommen zu suchen und zu retten das Verlorene.
11 And as they heard these things, he added and spoke a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.
Da sie aber dieses hörten, fügte er noch ein Gleichnis hinzu, weil er nahe bei Jerusalem war und sie meinten, nun müsse sogleich das Reich Gottes erscheinen.
12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
So sprach er denn: Ein hochgeborener Mann zog in ein fernes Land, sich ein Königreich zu gewinnen und dann wieder heimzukehren.
13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said to them, Occupy till I come.
Er berief aber zehn seiner Knechte und gab ihnen zehn Pfunde, und sprach zu ihnen: treibt es um, bis ich wieder komme.
14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
Seine Bürger aber haßten ihn und schickten eine Gesandtschaft hinter ihm her mit der Botschaft: wir wollen diesen nicht als König über uns haben.
15 And it came to pass, that when he had returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called to him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
Und es geschah, da er sein Königreich gewonnen hatte und zurückkehrte, da ließ er diese Knechte, welchen er das Geld gegeben hatte, rufen, um zu erfahren, wie sie es umgetrieben.
16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
Es erschien aber der erste und sprach: Herr, dein Pfund hat zehn Pfund dazu getragen.
17 And he said to him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
Und er sagte zu ihm: wohl denn, du braver Knecht, weil du im Kleinen treu warest, so sollst du nun Gewalt haben über zehn Städte.
18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
Und es kam der zweite und sagte: dein Pfund, Herr, hat fünf Pfund gebracht.
19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
Er sagte aber auch zu diesem: so sollst auch du über fünf Städte gesetzt sein.
20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:
Und der andere kam und sagte: Herr, siehe, hier ist dein Pfund, das ich verborgen hielt im Schweißtuch.
21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up what thou didst not lay down, and reapest what thou didst not sow.
Denn ich fürchtete dich, weil du ein strenger Mann bist, und nimmst, was du nicht hingelegt, erntest, was du nicht gesät hast.
22 And he saith to him, Out of thy own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up what I laid not down, and reaping what I did not sow:
Sagt er zu ihm: aus deinem eigenen Munde will ich dich richten, du schlechter Knecht. Du wußtest, daß ich ein strenger Mann bin, nehme, was ich nicht hingelegt, ernte, was ich nicht gesät?
23 Why then gavest thou not my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required my own with interest?
Nun warum hast du mein Geld nicht in die Bank gegeben? Dann hätte ich bei meiner Ankunft es mit Zinsen gewonnen.
24 And he said to them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.
Und er sprach zu den Anwesenden: nehmt ihm das Pfund und gebt es dem, der die Zehn Pfunde hat.
25 ( And they said to him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)
Und sie sprachen zu ihm: Herr, er hat ja zehn Pfunde.
26 For I say to you, That to every one who hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even what he hath shall be taken away from him.
Ich sage euch: jedem, der da hat, wird gegeben werden, von dem aber, welcher nicht hat, wird genommen werden auch was er hat.
27 But those my enemies, who would not that I should reign over them, bring here, and slay them before me.
Doch meine Feinde, die, welche mich nicht zum König über sich haben wollten, bringet herbei und machet sie nieder vor mir.
28 And when he had thus spoken, he went before, going up to Jerusalem.
Und nachdem er dies gesprochen, gieng er vorwärts auf dem Wege hinauf nach Jerusalem.
29 And it came to pass, when he had come near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,
Und es geschah, wie er gegen Bethphage und Bethania herankam zu dem Berg, den man Oelberg nennt, sandte er zwei von seinen Jüngern ab
30 Saying, Go ye into the village opposite you; in which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, on which yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him here.
und sagte: gehet hin in das Dorf gegenüber, wenn ihr dort hineinkommt, werdet ihr ein Füllen angebunden finden, auf dem noch nie ein Mensch gesessen ist; das bindet los und bringt es.
31 And if any man shall ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say to him, Because the Lord hath need of him.
Und wenn euch jemand fragt: warum bindet ihr es los? sollt ihr also sagen: der Herr bedarf seiner.
32 And they that were sent went, and found even as he had said to them.
Die Abgesandten aber giengen hin und fanden es, so wie er ihnen gesagt.
33 And as they were loosing the colt, its owners said to them, Why loose ye the colt?
Da sie aber das Füllen losbanden, sagten die Besitzer desselben zu ihnen: was bindet ihr das Füllen los?
34 And they said, The Lord hath need of him.
Sie aber sagten: der Herr bedarf seiner.
35 And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus on it.
Und sie brachten es zu Jesus, und warfen ihre Kleider auf das Füllen und setzten Jesus darauf.
36 And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.
Als er aber dahinzog, breiteten sie ihre Kleider unter auf den Weg.
37 And when he had come near, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
Da er sich aber schon dem Abhang des Oelbergs näherte, fieng die ganze Schar der Jünger an, fröhlich Gott zu loben mit lauter Stimme über all den Wundern, die sie gesehen hatten,
38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
und sie sprachen: gesegnet sei der da kommt, der König, im Namen des Herrn; Friede im Himmel und Preis in der Höhe.
39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said to him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
Und einige von den Pharisäern aus der Menge sagten zu ihm: Meister, wehre deinen Jüngern.
40 And he answered and said to them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
Und er antwortete: ich sage euch, wenn diese schweigen, werden die Steine rufen.
41 And when he had come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
Und wie er hinzukam, da er die Stadt sah, weinte er über sie
42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong to thy peace! but now they are hid from thy eyes.
und sagte: wenn doch auch du erkannt hättest an diesem deinem Tage, was zu deinem Frieden ist; nun aber ward es vor deinen Augen verborgen.
43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thy enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and surround thee, and keep thee in on every side,
Denn es werden Tage über dich kommen, da werden deine Feinde einen Graben um dich herum auswerfen, und dich umzingeln und dich bedrängen von allen Seiten.
44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
Und sie werden dich dem Boden gleich machen und deine Kinder in dir, und werden keinen Stein auf dem andern lassen in dir, dafür daß du die Zeit, die dir versehen war, nicht erkannt hast.
45 And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold in it, and them that bought;
Und er gieng in den Tempel und begann die Verkäufer hinauszutreiben,
46 Saying to them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.
und sprach zu ihnen: es steht geschrieben: Und mein Haus soll ein Bethaus sein: ihr aber habt es zu einer Räuberhöhle gemacht.
47 And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
Und er lehrte täglich im Tempel; die Hohenpriester aber und die Schriftgelehrten suchten ihn umzubringen, ebenso die Häupter des Volkes;
48 And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.
und sie fanden nicht wie sie es machen könnten; denn das ganze Volk hieng an seinem Munde.
