Luke 15
1 Then drew near to him all the tax collectors and sinners to hear him.
൧ചുങ്കക്കാരും പാപികളും എല്ലാം അവന്റെ വചനം കേൾക്കുവാൻ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു.
2 And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.
൨ഇവൻ പാപികളെ സ്വീകരിക്കുകയും അവരോടുകൂടി ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പരീശരും ശാസ്ത്രികളും പിറുപിറുത്തു.
3 And he spoke this parable to them, saying,
൩അവരോട് അവൻ ഈ ഉപമ പറഞ്ഞു:
4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he loseth one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he findeth it?
൪നിങ്ങളിൽ ഒരു ആൾക്ക് നൂറു ആട് ഉണ്ട് എന്നു വിചാരിക്കുക. അതിൽ ഒന്ന് കാണാതെ പോയാൽ അവൻ തൊണ്ണൂറ്റൊമ്പതിനെയും മരുഭൂമിയിൽ വിട്ടേച്ചു, ആ കാണാതെപോയ ആടിനെ കണ്ടെത്തുന്നതുവരെ നോക്കി നടക്കാതിരിക്കുമോ?
5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
൫കണ്ട് കിട്ടിയാൽ സന്തോഷിച്ച് ചുമലിൽ എടുത്തു വീട്ടിൽ വന്നു സ്നേഹിതന്മാരെയും അയൽക്കാരെയും വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടി:
6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying to them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
൬കാണാതെപോയ എന്റെ ആടിനെ കണ്ടുകിട്ടിയതുകൊണ്ട് എന്നോട് കൂടെ സന്തോഷിപ്പിൻ എന്നു അവരോട് പറയും.
7 I say to you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine righteous persons, who need no repentance.
൭അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ മാനസാന്തരം ആവശ്യമില്ലാത്ത തൊണ്ണൂറ്റൊമ്പത് നീതിമാന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ളതിനേക്കാൾ മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു പാപിയെ കുറിച്ച് സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ അധികം സന്തോഷം ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.
8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she loseth one piece, doth not light a lamp, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she findeth it?
൮അല്ല, ഒരു സ്ത്രീക്ക് പത്തു ദ്രഹ്മഉണ്ട് എന്നു വിചാരിക്കുക; ഒരു ദ്രഹ്മ കാണാതെ പോയാൽ അവൾ വിളക്കു കത്തിച്ച് വീട് തൂത്തുവാരി അത് കണ്ടുകിട്ടുന്നതുവരെ സൂക്ഷ്മത്തോടെ അന്വേഷിക്കും?
9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
൯കണ്ടുകിട്ടിയാൽ സ്നേഹിതമാരെയും അയൽക്കാരികളെയും വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടി: കാണാതെപോയ ദ്രഹ്മ കണ്ട് കിട്ടിയതുകൊണ്ട് എന്നോടുകൂടെ സന്തോഷിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറയും.
10 Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
൧൦അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു പാപിയെക്കുറിച്ചു ദൈവദൂതന്മാരുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ സന്തോഷം ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.
11 And he said, A certain man had two sons:
൧൧പിന്നെയും അവൻ പറഞ്ഞത്: ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് രണ്ടു പുത്രന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided to them his living.
൧൨അവരിൽ ഇളയവൻ അപ്പനോട്: അപ്പാ, വസ്തുവിൽ എനിക്കുള്ള പങ്ക് തരേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവൻ അവർക്ക് വസ്തു പകുത്തുകൊടുത്തു.
13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
൧൩അധികനാൾ കഴിയുന്നതിന് മുമ്പെ ഇളയമകൻ സകലവും ശേഖരിച്ചു ദൂരദേശത്തേക്ക് യാത്രയായി. അവിടെ തനിക്കു ഉള്ള പണം മുഴുവൻ ആവശ്യമില്ലാതെ ചെലവഴിച്ചു ജീവിച്ചു.
14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
൧൪എല്ലാം ചെലവഴിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ ആ ദേശത്തു കഠിനക്ഷാമം ഉണ്ടായി. അവന് പണത്തിന് ആവശ്യംവന്നു തുടങ്ങി.
15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
൧൫അവൻ ആ ദേശത്തിലെ പൗരന്മാരിൽ ഒരാൾക്ക് വേണ്ടി ജോലി ചെയ്യാൻ പോയി. അവൻ അവനെ തന്റെ വയലിൽ പന്നികൾക്ക് തീറ്റ കൊടുക്കുന്ന ജോലി കൊടുത്തു.
16 And he was longing to fill his belly with the husks that the swine ate: and no man gave to him.
൧൬പന്നി തിന്നുന്ന വാളവരകൊണ്ട് വയറു നിറപ്പാൻ അവൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു എങ്കിലും ആരും അവന് കൊടുത്തില്ല.
17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father have bread enough and to spare, and I am perishing with hunger!
൧൭അപ്പോൾ സുബോധം വന്നിട്ട് അവൻ: എന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ എത്ര കൂലിക്കാർ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചുകഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടും അധികം വരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ഞാനോ വിശപ്പുകൊണ്ട് നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നു.
18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,
൧൮ഞാൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് അപ്പന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്ന് അവനോട്: അപ്പാ, ഞാൻ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തോടും നിന്നോടും പാപം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
൧൯ഇനി നിന്റെ “മകൻ”എന്ന പേരിന് ഞാൻ യോഗ്യനല്ല; നിന്റെ ജോലിക്കാരിൽ ഒരാളെപ്പോലെ എന്നെ ആക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
൨൦അങ്ങനെ അവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് അപ്പന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പോയി. ദൂരത്ത് നിന്നു തന്നേ അപ്പൻ അവനെ കണ്ട് മനസ്സലിഞ്ഞ് ഓടിച്ചെന്നു അവനെ കെട്ടിപ്പിടിച്ച് അവനെ ചുംബിച്ചു.
21 And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
൨൧മകൻ അവനോട്: അപ്പാ, ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തോടും നിന്നോടും പാപം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇനി നിന്റെ മകൻ എന്നു വിളിക്കുവാൻ യോഗ്യനല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
൨൨അപ്പൻ തന്റെ ദാസന്മാരോട്: നിങ്ങൾ വേഗം പോയി മേന്മയുള്ള വസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു ഇവനെ ധരിപ്പിക്കുക; ഇവന്റെ കയ്യിൽ മോതിരവും കാലിൽ ചെരിപ്പും ഇടുവിക്കുക.
23 And bring here the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
൨൩ഒരു തടിപ്പിച്ച കാളക്കുട്ടിയെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു അറുത്ത് അതിനെ പാകം ചെയ്യുക; നമുക്കു തിന്നു ആനന്ദിക്കാം.
24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
൨൪ഈ എന്റെ മകൻ മരിച്ചതുപോലെയായിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ വീണ്ടും ജീവിച്ചു; കാണാതെ പോയിരുന്നു; കണ്ടുകിട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അങ്ങനെ അവർ ആനന്ദിച്ചു തുടങ്ങി.
25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing.
൨൫അവന്റെ മൂത്തമകൻ വയലിൽ ആയിരുന്നു; അവൻ വന്നു വീടിനോട് അടുത്തപ്പോൾ നൃത്തത്തിന്റെയും സംഗീത ഉപകരണങ്ങളുടെയും ശബ്ദം കേട്ട്,
26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.
൨൬ബാല്യക്കാരിൽ ഒരാളെ വിളിച്ചു: ഇവിടെ എന്താണ് സംഭവിക്കുന്നത്? എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
27 And he said to him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.
൨൭അവൻ അവനോട്: നിന്റെ സഹോദരൻ വന്നു; നിന്റെ അപ്പൻ അവനെ സൌഖ്യത്തോടെ കിട്ടിയതുകൊണ്ട് തടിപ്പിച്ച കാളക്കുട്ടിയെ അറുത്തു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore his father came out, and entreated him.
൨൮അപ്പോൾ അവൻ കോപിച്ചു, അകത്ത് കടക്കുവാൻ താത്പര്യം ഇല്ലാതെ നിന്നു; അപ്പൻ പുറത്തു വന്നു അവനോട് അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.
29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither have I at any time transgressed thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
൨൯അവൻ അവനോട്: ഇത്ര കാലമായി ഞാൻ നിന്നെ സേവിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ കല്പന ഒരിക്കലും ലംഘിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; എന്നാൽ എന്റെ ചങ്ങാതികളുമായി ആനന്ദിക്കേണ്ടതിന് നീ ഒരിക്കലും എനിക്ക് ഒരു ആട്ടിൻകുട്ടിയെ തന്നിട്ടില്ല.
30 But as soon as this thy son had come, who hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.
൩൦വേശ്യമാരോടുകൂടി നിന്റെ മുതൽ നശിപ്പിച്ച ഈ നിന്റെ മകൻ വന്നപ്പോഴേക്കോ തടിപ്പിച്ച കാളക്കുട്ടിയെ അവനുവേണ്ടി അറുത്തുവല്ലോ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
31 And he said to him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.
൩൧അതിന് അവൻ അവനോട്: മകനേ, നീ എപ്പോഴും എന്നോട് കൂടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; എനിക്കുള്ളത് എല്ലാം നിന്റേത് ആകുന്നു.
32 It was right that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.
൩൨നിന്റെ ഈ സഹോദരനോ മരിച്ചവനായിരുന്നു; വീണ്ടും ജീവിച്ചു; കാണാതെ പോയിരുന്നു; കണ്ട് കിട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ട് ആനന്ദിച്ചു സന്തോഷിക്കേണ്ടത് ആവശ്യമായിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
