Leviticus 19
1 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
RAB Musa'ya şöyle dedi:
2 Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy.
“İsrail topluluğuna de ki, ‘Kutsal olun, çünkü ben Tanrınız RAB kutsalım.
3 Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the LORD your God.
“‘Herkes annesine babasına saygı göstersin. Şabat günlerimi tutun. Tanrınız RAB benim.
4 Turn ye not to idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the LORD your God.
“‘Putlara tapmayın. Kendinize dökme ilahlar yapmayın. Tanrınız RAB benim.
5 And if ye offer a sacrifice of peace offerings to the LORD, ye shall offer it at your own will.
“‘RAB için esenlik kurbanı keseceğiniz zaman kabul edilecek biçimde kesin.
6 It shall be eaten the same day ye offer it, and on the next day: and if any thing shall remain until the third day, it shall be burnt in the fire.
Kurban eti, kestiğiniz gün ya da ertesi gün yenecek. Üçüncü güne kalan et yakılacak.
7 And if it shall be eaten at all on the third day, it is abominable; it shall not be accepted.
Üçüncü gün yenirse iğrenç sayılır. Kabul olmayacaktır.
8 Therefore every one that eateth it shall bear his iniquity, because he hath profaned the hallowed thing of the LORD: and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
Onu yiyen suçunun cezasını çekecektir. Çünkü RAB'bin gözünde kutsal olanı bayağılaştırmıştır. Halkın arasından atılacaktır.
9 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest.
“‘Ülkenizdeki ekinleri biçerken tarlanızı sınırlarına kadar biçmeyeceksiniz. Artakalan başakları toplamayacaksınız.
10 And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I am the LORD your God.
Bağbozumunda bağınızı tümüyle devşirmeyecek, yere düşen üzümleri toplamayacaksınız. Onları yoksullara ve yabancılara bırakacaksınız. Tanrınız RAB benim.
11 Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.
“‘Çalmayacaksınız. Hile yapmayacaksınız. Birbirinize yalan söylemeyeceksiniz.
12 And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.
Benim adımla yalan yere ant içmeyeceksiniz. Tanrınız'ın adını aşağılamış olursunuz. RAB benim.
13 Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.
“‘Komşuna haksızlık etmeyecek, onu soymayacaksın. İşçinin alacağını sabaha bırakmayacaksın.
14 Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the LORD.
Sağıra lanet etmeyecek, körün önüne engel koymayacaksın. Tanrın'dan korkacaksın. RAB benim.
15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.
“‘Yargılarken haksızlık yapmayacaksın. Yoksula ayrıcalık göstermeyecek, güçlüyü kayırmayacaksın. Komşunu adaletle yargılayacaksın.
16 Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD.
Halkının arasında onu bunu çekiştirerek dolaşmayacaksın. Komşunun canına zarar vermeyeceksin. RAB benim.
17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thy heart: thou shalt surely rebuke thy neighbour, and not allow sin upon him.
“‘Kardeşine yüreğinde nefret beslemeyeceksin. Komşun günah işlerse onu uyaracaksın. Yoksa sen de günah işlemiş olursun.
18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.
Öç almayacaksın. Halkından birine kin beslemeyeceksin. Komşunu kendin gibi seveceksin. RAB benim.
19 Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle breed with another kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mixed seed: neither shall a garment of linen and woollen woven together come upon thee.
“‘Kurallarımı uygulayın. Farklı cinsten iki hayvanı çiftleştirme. Tarlana iki çeşit tohum ekme. Üzerine iki tür iplikle dokunmuş giysi giyme.
20 And whoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a slave, betrothed to an husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; she shall be scourged; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.
“‘Bir adam bir cariyeyle yatarsa, eğer kadın nişanlı, bedeli ödenmemiş ya da azat edilmemişse, ikisi de cezalandırılacak ama öldürülmeyecek. Çünkü kadın özgür değildir.
21 And he shall bring his trespass offering to the LORD, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, even a ram for a trespass offering.
Adam RAB'be, Buluşma Çadırı'nın giriş bölümüne, suç sunusu olarak bir koç getirecek.
22 And the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before the LORD for his sin which he hath done: and the sin which he hath done shall be forgiven him.
Kâhin bu koçla adamın işlediği günahı RAB'bin önünde bağışlatacak ve adam bağışlanacak.
23 And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count its fruit as uncircumcised: three years shall it be as uncircumcised to you: it shall not be eaten of.
“‘Kenan ülkesine girdiğinizde bir meyve ağacı dikerseniz, ilk üç yıl meyvesini kirli ve yasak sayın, yemeyin.
24 But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy to praise the LORD with.
Dördüncü yıl ağacın bütün meyvesi şükran sunusu olarak RAB için kutsal sayılacak.
25 And in the fifth year shall ye eat of its fruit, that it may yield to you its increase: I am the LORD your God.
Beşinci yıl ağacın meyvesini yiyebilirsiniz. Böylece ağaç daha bol ürün verir. Tanrınız RAB benim.
26 Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times.
“‘Kanlı et yemeyeceksiniz. Kehanette bulunmayacak, falcılık yapmayacaksınız.
27 Ye shall not shave around the sides of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.
Başınızın yan tarafındaki saçları kesmeyecek, sakalınızın kenarlarına dokunmayacaksınız.
28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks upon you: I am the LORD.

29 Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be an harlot; lest the land should fall to harlotry, and the land become full of wickedness.
“‘Kızını fahişeliğe sürükleyip rezil etme. Yoksa fahişelik yayılır ve ülke ahlaksızlıkla dolup taşar.
30 Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.
Şabat günlerimi tutacaksınız. Tapınağıma saygı göstereceksiniz. RAB benim.
31 Regard not them that have mediums, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.
“‘Cincilere, ruh çağıranlara yönelmeyin. Onlara danışmayın, kirlenirsiniz. Tanrınız RAB benim.
32 Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the LORD.
“‘Ak saçlı insanların önünde ayağa kalkacak, yaşlılara saygı göstereceksin. Tanrın'dan korkacaksın. RAB benim.
33 And if a stranger shall sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not oppress him.
“‘Ülkenizde sizinle birlikte yaşayan bir yabancıya kötü davranmayın.
34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be to you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
Ona sizden biriymiş gibi davranacak ve onu kendiniz kadar seveceksiniz. Çünkü siz de Mısır'da yabancıydınız. Tanrınız RAB benim.
35 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in length, in weight, or in volume.
“‘Yargılarken, uzunluk ve sıvı ölçerken, ağırlık tartarken haksızlık yapmayın.
36 Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.
Doğru terazi, ağırlık taşı, efa ve hin kullanın. Mısır'dan sizi çıkaran Tanrınız RAB benim.
37 Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: I am the LORD.
Kurallarımın, ilkelerimin tümüne uyacak ve onları yerine getireceksiniz. RAB benim.’”
