< John 1 >

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
MASAN kotier ni tapi o, a masan kotier ren Kot, a masan me udan Kot.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
I me kotikot ren Kot ni tapi o.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
I me dipisou karos tapi kidar, o sota man meakot mia, me kaidin i kotin wiadar.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Maur mi re a; o iei maur o marain en aramas.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
A marain o me dakarada rotorot, a rotorot sota lingan kila.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
Aramas amen me pakadarador sang ren Kot ad a Ioanes!
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
I me pwara dong kadede, pwen kadede marain o pwe karos en poson pweki i.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
Kaidin i me marain o, a a kin kadede marain o.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
Iei marain melel, me pwara dong sappa, ap kamaraini aramas karos.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
I me kotier sappa, o i me sappa tapi kidar, a sappa sasa i.
11 He came to his own, and his own received him not.
A koti dong udan sapwilim a, a sapwilim a kan me san i.
12 But as many as received him, to them he gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Karos, me kasamo i, a kotiki ong ir manaman, en wiala seri en Kot, ir, me poson mar a,
13 Who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Me kaidin ipwidi sang nta, de inong en uduk, de inong en ol o, pwe ipwidier sang ren Kot.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, ( and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, ) full of grace and truth.
Masan me wia uduk ala o kotikot re atail, o kitail kilanger a lingan, lingan dueta lingan en Ieros eu sang ren Sam o, me dir en mak melel.
15 John bore witness concerning him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spoke, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
Ioanes me kadede i ngil laudeda indada: Iei i, me i padaki wei: Me pan kotido mur i, iei me mier mo i, pwe a kotikotier mo i.
16 And of his fulness have we all received, and grace for grace.
Pwe kitail karos ale sang nan audepa a mak sapan potopot.
17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
Pwe kapung me kokido sang Moses, a mak o melel sang Iesus Kristus.
18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
Sota me kilanger Kot kokodo, Ol ieros ta, me kin kotikot pan kupur en Sam o, i me kotin kasaledar i.
19 And this is the witness of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?
A met en Ioanes a kadede, ni men Sus kadarala sang Ierusalem samero o lepit oko, pwen idok re a: Is koe?
20 And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.
I ari kotin kadede; a sota likam; a kotin kadede: Kaidin Kristus ngai.
21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elijah? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.
Irail idok re a: A is? Elias komui? A masani: Kaidin ngai i. Komui saukop o? A sapeng: Kaidin.
22 Then said they to him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
Irail ap indang i: A is komui? Pwe sen sapeng irail me kadar kit dor. Da me komui kadedeki pein komui?
23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Isaiah.
A masani: Ngai ngil eu, me likelikwir sili nan sap tan: Kaineneda al en Kaun o, duen saukop Iesaia masanier!
24 And they who were sent were of the Pharisees.
A irail pakadaradoer sang ren Parisär akan.
25 And they asked him, and said to him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou art not that Christ, nor Elijah, neither that prophet?
Irail ap idok re a indada: Da me komui wia paptaisiki, ma komui kaidin Kristus, o kaidin Elias, o pil kaidin saukop o?
26 John answered them, saying, I baptize in water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;
Ioanes sapeng irail masani: Ngai me paptaisiki pil, a amen kin kotikot nan pung omail, me komail sasa.
27 He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe latchet I am not worthy to loose.
Iei i me kotido mur i, me ngai sowar ong, en lapwada sal en sapwilim a sut.
28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.
Mepukat wiauier Petapara palilan Iordan, wasa Ioanes kin wia paptais ia.
29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming to him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, who taketh away the sin of the world.
Mandan ran o a masani Iesus a koti dong i ap masani: Kilang Sippul en Kot, me kin wawei dip en sappa!
30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man who is preferred before me: for he was before me.
Iei i, me i padaki wei: Ol amen pan kotido mur i iei, me mier mo i, pwe a kotikotier mo i.
31 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing in water.
A ngai so asa i, a pwe i en sansal dong Israel, iei me i kokido paptaisiki pil.
32 And John bore witness, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and he abode upon him.
A Ioanes kadede masani: I kilanger Ngen o kotidido sang nanlang ni mom en muroi kotikot re a.
33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize in water, the same said to me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he who baptizeth in the Holy Spirit.
A ngai so asa i, a me porone ia don wia paptaisiki pil, iei me kotin masani ong ia: Me koe pan kilang. Ngen piridi sok poa, o kotikoteta re a, iei i, me kin wia paptaisiki Ngen saraui.

35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;

36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
A tounpadak riamen rongadar a masan, ap idauen wei Iesus.
38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith to them, What seek ye? They said to him, Rabbi, ( which is to say, being interpreted, Master, ) where dwellest thou?

39 He saith to them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.
A kotin masani ong ira: Kodo kilang! Ira ap poto dong kilanger wasa, me a kotikot ia, ap mimieta re a ni ran o. Mepukat wiauier impan auer kaeisok.
40 One of the two who heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.

41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith to him, We have found the Messiah, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
I me diaradar mas udan ri a Simon, indai ong i: Se diaradar Mesias (iet wewe: Kristus).
42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jonah: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
I ap kalualang i ren Iesus. A Iesus lao masani i, ap masani: Simon, koe nain Iona, koe nok adaneki Kepas (iet wewe: Paip).
43 The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith to him, Follow me.

44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
Pilipus men Petsaida, kanim en Andreas o Petrus.
45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith to him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
Pilipus diaradar Natanael, ap indang i: Se diaradar i, duen me Moses intingiedier nan puk en kapung o saukop akan: Iesus men Nasaret, sapwilim en Iosep.
46 And Nathanael said to him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith to him, Come and see.
A Natanael indai ong i: Pala maukot pan kak pwarada sang Nasaret? Pilipus indang i: Kodo kilang!
47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
Iesus kotin masani Natanael koko dong i, ap masani duen i: Kilang, ol melel en Israel amen, me sota kin widing.
48 Nathanael saith to him, How knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said to him, Before Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
Natanael potoan ong i: Re kotin mangi ia sang ia? Iesus kotin sapeng masani ong i: Mon Pilipus a eker uk edo, ni om mod pan tuka pik o, I kilang uk ada.
49 Nathanael answered and said to him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
Natanael sapeng potoan ong i: Rapi, ir me Sapwilim en Kot, ir me Nanmarki en Israel.
50 Jesus answered and said to him, Because I said to thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, dost thou believe? thou shalt see greater things than these.
Iesus kotin sapeng masani ong i: Pweki I indai ong uk, me I kilang uk ada pan tuka pik o, iei me koe posonki, a koe nok kilang me lapa sang mepukat.
51 And he saith to him, Verily, verily, I say to you, After this ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
