Job 37

1 At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of its place.

वास्‍तवमा, यस कुरामा मेरो हृदय काँप्छ । त्यो आफ्नो ठाउँबाट हटेको छ ।

2 Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth.

सुन्‍नुहोस्, उहाँको आवाजको चर्को सोर, उहाँको मुखबाट बाहिर निस्‍कने आवाजलाई सुन्‍नुहोस् ।

3 He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning to the ends of the earth.

उहाँले त्‍यसलाई सारा आकाशमुनि पठाउनुहुन्छ, र उहाँले पृथ्वीको कुना-कुनासम्‍म आफ्नो बिजुली पठाउनुहुन्छ ।

4 After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not restrain them when his voice is heard.

यसपछि एउटा आवाज गर्जन्छ । उहाँ आफ्नो ऐश्‍वर्यको आवाजले गर्जनुहुन्छ । उहाँको आवाज सुन्‍दा उहाँले बिजुलीको चमकलाई रोक्‍नुहुन्‍न ।

5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things he doeth, which we cannot comprehend.

परमेश्‍वर आफ्नो सोरसहित अचम्म तरिकाले गर्जनुहुन्छ । हामीले बुझ्नै नसक्‍ने महान् कुराहरू उहाँले गर्नुहुन्छ ।

6 For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

किनकि उहाँले हिउँलाई भन्‍नुहुन्छ, 'पृथ्वीमा खस् ।' त्यसै गरी झरीलाई भन्‍नुहुन्छ, 'मुसलधारे झरी बन् ।'

7 He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.

उहाँले हरेक मानिसको हातलाई काम गर्नबाट रोक्‍नुहुन्छ, ताकि आफूले बनाउनुभएका सारा मानिसले उहाँका कामहरू देख्‍न सकून् ।

8 Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.

तब जङ्गली जनावरहरू लुक्‍ने ठाउँ जान्छन्, र आ-आफ्ना खोरहरूमा बस्छन् ।

9 From the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold from the north.

आँधी-बेहरी दक्षिणको आफ्नो बासस्थानबाट आउँछ, र उत्तरको प्रचण्ड बतासबाट जाडो आउँछ ।

10 By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is narrowed.

परमेश्‍वरको सासद्वारा बरफ बन्छ । पानीको फैलावट धातुझैं जम्छ ।

11 Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:

वास्तवमा बाक्‍लो बादललाई उहाँले बाफको भारी बोकाउनुहुन्छ । उहाँले बादलहरूद्वारा आफ्नो बिजुली छरपष्‍ट पार्नुहुन्छ ।

12 And it is turned around by his counsels: that they may do whatever he commandeth them upon the face of the world on the earth.

उहाँले आफ्नो निर्देशनद्वारा बादलहरूलाई चारैतिर घुमाउनुहुन्छ, ताकि उहाँले तिनलाई जे आज्ञा गर्नुहुन्‍छ, त्‍यो तिनले सारा संसारको सतहको माथि गर्न सकून् ।

13 He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

उहाँले यी सबै कुरा हुन दिनुहुन्छ । कहिले-कहीं सुधारको लागि यस्‍तो हुन्छ, कहिले-कहीँ उहाँको जमिनको लागि, र कहिले-कहीँ करारको विश्‍वस्तताको कामको रूपमा हुन्छ ।

14 Hearken to this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

हे अय्यूब, यो कुरा सुन्‍नुहोस् । रोक्‍नुहोस् र परमेश्‍वरका उदेकका कामहरूका बारेमा सोच्नुहोस् ।

15 Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?

परमेश्‍वरले बादललाई कसरी स्थापित गर्नुहुन्छ, र बिजुलीको चमकलाई चम्काउनुहुन्छ भनी के तपाईं जान्‍नुहुन्‍छ?

16 Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge?

के बादलहरू कसरी तैरन्छन् भनी तपाईं बुझ्नुहुन्छ, जुन ज्ञानमा सिद्ध परमेश्‍वरको उदेकको काम हो?

17 How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?

जब बतास नचली भूमि शान्त हुँदा दक्षिणबाट बतास चल्‍नथाल्‍छ, तब तपाईंको लुगा कसरी तातो हुन्छ भनेर तपाईं बुझ्नुहुन्छ?

18 Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?

आकाशलाई उहाँले झैं तपाईंले फैलाउन सक्‍नुहुन्छ— आकाश, जुन धातु पगालेर बनाइएको ऐनाजत्तिकै कडा हुन्छ?

19 Teach us what we shall say to him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.

उहाँलाई हामीले के भन्‍नुपर्ने हो, सो हामीलाई सिकाउनुहोस्, किनकि हाम्रो मनको अन्धकारको कारणले हामीले आफ्‍ना तर्कहरूलाई क्रमैसित प्रस्‍तुत गर्न सक्दैनौँ ।

20 Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man shall speak, surely he shall be swallowed up.

म उहाँसित बोल्न चाहन्छु भनेर उहाँलाई भन्‍नुपर्छ र? कुनै व्यक्तिले आफूलाई निलियोस् भन्‍ने इच्‍छा गर्छ र?

21 And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.

आकाशमा बतास चलेपछि र त्‍यसले त्‍यहाँको बादललाई उडाएर सफा गरेपछि, जब त्‍यहाँ सूर्य चम्‍किन्‍छ, तब मानिसहरूले त्‍यो हेर्न सक्दैनन् ।

22 Fair weather cometh from the north: with God is terrible majesty.

उत्तरबाट सुनौलो वैभवको आगमन हुन्छ— परमेश्‍वर भययोग्य महिमा हुनुहुन्छ ।

23 As for the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in abundance of justice: he will not afflict.

सर्वशक्तिमान्‌को बारेमा, हामी उहाँलाई भेट्टाउन सक्दैनौं । शक्तिमा उहाँ महान् हुनुहुन्छ । उहाँले न्यायलाई दबाउनुहुन्‍न र धार्मिकता प्रसस्‍त पार्नुहुन्‍छ ।

24 Men therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.

त्यसकारण मानिसहरू उहाँदेखि डराउँछन् । आफ्नै मनले बुद्धिमान् सम्‍झनेहरूलाई उहाँले ध्यान दिनुहुन्‍न ।”
