Job 37

1 At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of its place.

૧નિશ્ચે મારું હૃદય ધ્રૂજે છે; તે તેની જગ્યાએથી ખસી જાય છે.

2 Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth.

૨તેમના મુખમાંથી નીકળતા અવાજ, ધ્યાનથી સાંભળો.

3 He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning to the ends of the earth.

૩આખા આકાશને તે વીજળીથી ઝળકાવે છે, અને પૃથ્વીની દરેક દિશાઓ સુધી મોકલે છે.

4 After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not restrain them when his voice is heard.

૪તેમની પાછળ અવાજ થાય છે; તે ગર્જનાથી તેમની ભવ્યતાનો અવાજ કરે છે; જ્યારે વીજળી ચમકે છે, ત્યારે તેમનો અવાજ સંભળાય છે.

5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things he doeth, which we cannot comprehend.

૫ઈશ્વર અદ્દભુત રીતે તેમનો અવાજ કરે છે; તેમનાં મહાન કૃત્યો આપણે સમજી શકતા નથી.

6 For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

૬તેમણે બરફને કહ્યું, ‘પૃથ્વી પર પડો’ તે જ રીતે વરસાદને વરસવાનું, અને ‘પૃથ્વી પર મુશળધાર વરસાદ આપવાની આજ્ઞા કરે છે.’

7 He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.

૭આ રીતે તેઓ સર્વ માણસોને કામ કરતા અટકાવે છે, કે જેથી તેમનું સર્જન કરેલા લોકો તેમનું પરાક્રમ સમજે.

8 Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.

૮ત્યારે પશુઓ સંતાઈ જાય છે અને તેઓની ગુફામાં ભરાઈ જાય છે.

9 From the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold from the north.

૯દક્ષિણ દિશામાંથી ચક્રવાત આવે છે, અને ઉત્તર દિશામાંથી ઠંડા પવન સાથે ઠંડી આવે છે.

10 By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is narrowed.

૧૦ઈશ્વરના શ્વાસથી હિમ થાય છે; અને સમુદ્રો ધાતુની માફક થીજી જાય છે.

11 Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:

૧૧ખરેખર, તે ભારે વાદળોને પાણીથી ભરી દે છે; અને વાદળોમાં તે વીજળીઓને ચમકાવે છે.

12 And it is turned around by his counsels: that they may do whatever he commandeth them upon the face of the world on the earth.

૧૨તેઓ વાદળોને આખી પૃથ્વી પર ચારેતરફ વિખેરી નાખે છે, જેમ તેઓને આજ્ઞા આપવામાં આવે છે તે પ્રમાણે કરે છે.

13 He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

૧૩લોકોને શિક્ષા કરવા સારુ, તો કોઈ સમયે તેમની પૃથ્વીને માટે, અને કોઈ સમયે કરારના વિશ્વાસુપણાના કાર્યને માટે, ઈશ્વર આ પ્રમાણે સર્વ થવા દે છે.

14 Hearken to this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

૧૪હે અયૂબ, આ વાત પર લક્ષ આપ; જરા થોભ અને ઈશ્વરનાં આશ્ચર્યકારક કાર્યોનો વિચાર કર.

15 Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?

૧૫ઈશ્વર વાદળોને કેવી રીતે નિયંત્રણમાં રાખે છે, અને વાદળોમાંથી વીજળીને કેવી રીતે ચમકાવે છે એ શું તું જાણતો નથી?

16 Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge?

૧૬વાદળો કેવી રીતે હવામાં સમતોલ રહે છે, જે ડહાપણમાં સંપૂર્ણ છે અને ઈશ્વરનાં આશ્ચર્યકારક કાર્યો, તે શું તું જાણે છે?

17 How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?

૧૭તને જ્યારે પરસેવો થાય ત્યારે તારાં વસ્ત્રો તારી ચામડીને ચોંટી જાય છે. અને જ્યારે દક્ષિણ દિશામાંથી હૂંફાળો પવન વાય છે ત્યારે બધું શાંત અને સૂમસામ થઈ જાય છે તે શું તું સમજે છે?

18 Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?

૧૮જેમ તેમણે આકાશ વિસ્તાર્યાં છે તેમ, તમે કરી શકો છો? આકાશને ચમકતા કરેલા પિત્તળની જેમ ચમકીલુ બનાવી શકો છો?

19 Teach us what we shall say to him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.

૧૯અમારે શું કહેવું તે અમને શીખવ, કારણ કે અમે અમારા મનના અંધકારને લીધે તેમની સાથે દલીલો કરી શકતા નથી.

20 Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man shall speak, surely he shall be swallowed up.

૨૦શું હું ઈશ્વરને કહીશ કે મારી ઇચ્છા તેની સાથે વાત કરવાની હતી? શું કોઈ માણસ ઇચ્છે કે તેનો નાશ થાય?

21 And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.

૨૧જ્યારે પવન આકાશને ચોખ્ખું કરે છે ત્યારે એટલું બધું અજવાળું થાય છે કે લોકો સૂર્ય સામે જોઈ શક્તા નથી.

22 Fair weather cometh from the north: with God is terrible majesty.

૨૨તે જ રીતે આકાશમાંથી આપણી ઉપર આવતા અને આંખોને આંજી દેતા ઈશ્વરની ભવ્યતા સામે પણ આપણે જોઈ શક્તા નથી.

23 As for the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in abundance of justice: he will not afflict.

૨૩સર્વશક્તિમાન ઈશ્વર મહાન છે! આપણે તેમને સમજી શકતા નથી; તેઓ મહા પરાક્રમી અને ન્યાયી છે. તેઓ આપણને નુકસાન પહોંચાડતા નથી.

24 Men therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.

૨૪તેથી લોકો તેમનાથી ડરે છે. “પણ જેઓ પોતાની જાતને જ્ઞાની માને છે, તેવા લોકોને ઈશ્વર ગણકારતા નથી.”
