Job 20
1 Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,
೧ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾಮಾಥ್ಯನಾದ ಚೋಫರನು ಹೀಗೆಂದನು,
2 Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for this I make haste.
೨“ನನ್ನ ಮನೋವ್ಯಥೆಯು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ, ಆತುರವು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಿದೆ.
3 I have heard the rebuke that reproaches me, and the spirit of my understanding causeth me to answer.
೩ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಅಪಮಾನಕರವಾದ ನಿನ್ನ ಖಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಆದಕಾರಣ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವು ನನ್ನ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯಿಂದಲೇ ಕಲಿತ ಉತ್ತರವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
4 Knowest thou not this of old, since man was placed upon earth,
೪ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಉದ್ಭವಿಸಿದ ಪುರಾತನಕಾಲದಿಂದಲೂ,
5 That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment?
೫ದುಷ್ಟರ ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ಧ್ವನಿಯು ಅಲ್ಪಕಾಲದ್ದು, ಭ್ರಷ್ಟನ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸವು ಕ್ಷಣಿಕವಾದದ್ದು ಎಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲವೋ?
6 Though his excellency shall mount up to the heavens, and his head reach to the clouds;
೬ಅವನ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೆಯು ಆಕಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿದರೂ, ಅವನ ತಲೆಯು ಮೋಡಗಳಿಗೆ ತಗುಲಿದರೂ,
7 Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they who have seen him shall say, Where is he?
೭ತನ್ನ ಮಲದ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿತ್ಯನಾಶನವನ್ನೂ ಹೊಂದುವನು, ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಂಡವರು ಕೂಡ ‘ಅವನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ?’ ಎನ್ನುವರು.
8 He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night.
೮ಅವನು ಸ್ವಪ್ನದಂತೆ ಮರೆಯಾಗಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಕನಸಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವನು.
9 The eye also which saw him shall see him no more; neither shall his place any more behold him.
೯ಕಂಡವನ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಕಾಣಿಸನು, ಅವನ ನಿವಾಸವು ಅವನನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ನೋಡುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
10 His children shall seek to please the poor, and his hands shall restore their goods.
೧೦ಅವನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ದರಿದ್ರರ ದಯೆಯನ್ನು ಬೇಡುವರು. ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದಲೇ ತನ್ನ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಬಿಡಬೇಕಾಗುವುದು.
11 His bones are full of the sin of his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust.
೧೧ಯೌವನವು ಅವನ ಎಲುಬುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನೂ ತುಂಬಿರುವಾಗಲೇ, ಅದು ಅವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಧೂಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗುವುದು.
12 Though wickedness may be sweet in his mouth, though he may hide it under his tongue;
೧೨ಕೆಟ್ಟತನವು ಅವನ ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ಸಿಹಿಯಾಗಿರಲು, ಅವನು ನಾಲಿಗೆಯ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸಿ,
13 Though he may spare it, and forsake it not; but keep it still within his mouth:
೧೩ನುಂಗದೆ ಕಾಪಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲೇ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೂ
14 Yet his food in his body is turned, it is the gall of asps within him.
೧೪ತಿಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ಪದಾರ್ಥವು ಮಾರ್ಪಟ್ಟು, ಅವನೊಳಗೆ ಹಾವಿನ ವಿಷವಾಗುವುದು.
15 He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.
೧೫ನುಂಗಿದ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವನು ಕಾರುವನು, ದೇವರು ಅವನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಕ್ಕಿಸಿ ಬಿಡುವನು.
16 He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper’s tongue shall slay him.
೧೬ಅವನು ಚೀಪುವುದು ಹಾವಿನ ವಿಷವೇ, ಸರ್ಪದ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವುದು.
17 He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter.
೧೭ಜೇನೂ, ಮೊಸರೂ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಹರಿಯುವ ನದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನು ನೋಡುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
18 That which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down: according to his substance shall the restitution be, and he shall not rejoice in it.
೧೮ಅವನು ದುಡಿದದ್ದನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸದೆ ಪರರ ಪಾಲು ಮಾಡುವನು, ಅವನ ಲಾಭದಿಂದಾಗತಕ್ಕ ಆನಂದವು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
19 Because he hath oppressed and hath forsaken the poor; because he hath violently taken away an house which he did not build;
೧೯ಅವನು ಬಡವರನ್ನು ಜಜ್ಜಿ ತ್ಯಜಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನಲ್ಲಾ; ಸುಲಿಗೆಯಿಂದ ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಂಡ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಭದ್ರಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಹೋಗುವನು.
20 Surely he shall not feel quietness in his belly, he shall not save of that which he desired.
೨೦ಅವನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಗೆ ತೃಪ್ತಿಯಿಲ್ಲವಾದ ಕಾರಣ, ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಇಷ್ಟ ಸಂಪತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದನ್ನೂ ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
21 There shall none of his food be left; therefore shall no man look for his goods.
೨೧ಏನೂ ಉಳಿಯದಂತೆ ಅವನು ನುಂಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದರಿಂದ; ಅವನ ಸುಖವು ಅಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿರುವುದು.
22 In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits: every hand of the wicked shall come upon him.
೨೨ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯು ತುಂಬಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಾಗುವುದು. ಶ್ರಮೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನ ಕೈ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳುವುದು.
23 When he is about to fill his belly, God shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain it upon him while he is eating.
೨೩ಅವನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ತುಂಬುವುದು, ಹೌದು, ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಕೋಪಾಗ್ನಿಯನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ; ಅದನ್ನೇ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುರಿಸುವನು.
24 He shall flee from the iron weapon, and the bow of steel shall strike him through.
೨೪ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಆಯುಧದ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವನು, ತಾಮ್ರದ ಬಿಲ್ಲು ಅವನನ್ನು ಇರಿಯುವುದು.
25 It is drawn, and cometh out of the body; yea, the glittering sword cometh out of his gall: terrors are upon him.
೨೫ಅವನು ಬಾಣವನ್ನು ಕೀಳಲು ಅದು ಬೆನ್ನಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಬರುವುದು, ಥಳಥಳಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಅವನ ಪಿತ್ತಕೋಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು, ಭಯಭ್ರಾಂತಿಗಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ಮುತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವು.
26 All darkness shall be hid in his secret places: a fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that is left in his tent.
೨೬ಅವನ ನಿಧಿನಿಕ್ಷೇಪಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಾಂಧಕಾರವು ಕಾದಿರುವುದು, ಯಾರೂ ಹೊತ್ತಿಸದ ಬೆಂಕಿಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ತಿಂದುಹಾಕಿ, ಅವನ ಗುಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದನ್ನು ಮೇದು ಬಿಡುವುದು.
27 The heaven shall reveal his iniquity; and the earth shall rise up against him.
೨೭ಆಕಾಶವು ಅವನ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಬಯಲುಪಡಿಸುವುದು. ಭೂಮಿಯು ಅವನ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿ ಏಳುವುದು.
28 The increase of his house shall depart, and his goods shall flow away in the day of his wrath.
೨೮ದೇವರ ಸಿಟ್ಟಿನ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಮನೆಯ ಧನಧಾನ್ಯಗಳು, ಪ್ರವಾಹದಿಂದ ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ತೊಲಗಿಹೋಗುವವು.
29 This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed to him by God.
೨೯ದುಷ್ಟನಿಗೆ ದೇವರಿಂದ ದೊರೆಯುವ ಪಾಲೂ, ದೇವರು ನೇಮಿಸಿರುವ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವೂ ಇವೇ.”
