Job 13

1 Lo, my eye hath seen all this, my ear hath heard and understood it.

۱ «اینک چشم من همه این چیزها رادیده، و گوش من آنها را شنیده وفهمیده است.

2 What ye know, the same do I know also: I am not inferior to you.

۲ چنانکه شما می‌دانید من هم می‌دانم. و من کمتر از شما نیستم.

3 Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.

۳ لیکن می‌خواهم با قادر مطلق سخن گویم. و آرزو دارم که با خدا محاجه نمایم.

4 But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.

۴ اما شما دروغها جعل می‌کنید، و جمیع شما طبیبان باطل هستید.

5 O that ye would altogether hold your peace! and it should be your wisdom.

۵ کاش که شما به کلی ساکت می‌شدید که این برای شما حکمت می‌بود.

6 Hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.

۶ پس حجت مرابشنوید. و دعوی لبهایم را گوش گیرید.

7 Will ye speak wickedly for God? and talk deceitfully for him?

۷ آیابرای خدا به بی‌انصافی سخن خواهید راند؟ و به جهت او با فریب تکلم خواهید نمود؟

8 Will ye accept his person? will ye contend for God?

۸ آیا برای او طرف داری خواهید نمود؟ و به جهت خدادعوی خواهید کرد؟

9 Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye so mock him?

۹ آیا نیکو است که او شما راتفتیش نماید؟ یا چنانکه انسان را مسخره می‌نمایند او را مسخره می‌سازید.

10 He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly accept persons.

۱۰ البته شما را توبیخ خواهد کرد. اگر در خفا طرف داری نمایید.

11 Shall not his excellency make you afraid? and his dread fall upon you?

۱۱ آیا جلال او شما را هراسان نخواهد ساخت؟ و هیبت او بر شما مستولی نخواهد شد؟

12 Your remembrances are like ashes, your bodies to bodies of clay.

۱۲ ذکرهای شما، مثل های غبار است. وحصارهای شما، حصارهای گل است.

13 Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak, and let come on me what will.

۱۳ «از من ساکت شوید و من سخن خواهم گفت. و هرچه خواهد، بر من واقع شود.

14 Why do I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in my hand?

۱۴ چراگوشت خود را با دندانم بگیرم و جان خود را دردستم بنهم؟

15 Though he shall slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will defend my own ways before him.

۱۵ اگرچه مرا بکشد، برای او انتظارخواهم کشید. لیکن راه خود را به حضور او ثابت خواهم ساخت.

16 He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him.

۱۶ این نیز برای من نجات خواهدشد. زیرا ریاکار به حضور او حاضر نمی شود.

17 Hear diligently my speech, and my declaration with your ears.

۱۷ بشنوید! سخنان مرا بشنوید. و دعوی من به گوشهای شما برسد.

18 Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified.

۱۸ اینک الان دعوی خود رامرتب ساختم. و می‌دانم که عادل شمرده خواهم شد.

19 Who is he that will plead with me? for now, if I hold my tongue, I shall give up the ghost.

۱۹ کیست که بامن مخاصمه کند؟ پس خاموش شده جان را تسلیم خواهم کرد.

20 Only do not two things to me: then will I not hide myself from thee.

۲۰ فقطدو چیز به من مکن. آنگاه خود را از حضور توپنهان نخواهم ساخت.

21 Withdraw thy hand far from me: and let not thy dread make me afraid.

۲۱ دست خود را از من دورکن. و هیبت تو مرا هراسان نسازد.

22 Then call thou, and I will answer: or let me speak, and answer thou me.

۲۲ آنگاه بخوان و من جواب خواهم داد، یا اینکه من بگویم و مراجواب بده.

23 How many are my iniquities and sins? make me to know my transgression and my sin.

۲۳ خطایا و گناهانم چقدر است؟ تقصیر و گناه مرا به من بشناسان.

24 Why hidest thou thy face, and holdest me for thy enemy?

۲۴ چرا روی خود را از من می‌پوشانی؟ و مرا دشمن خودمی شماری؟

25 Wilt thou break a leaf driven to and fro? and wilt thou pursue the dry stubble?

۲۵ آیا برگی را که از باد رانده شده است می‌گریزانی؟ و کاه خشک را تعاقب می‌کنی؟

26 For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the iniquities of my youth.

۲۶ زیرا که چیزهای تلخ را به ضد من می‌نویسی، و گناهان جوانی‌ام را نصیب من می‌سازی.

27 Thou puttest my feet also in the stocks, and observest carefully all my paths; thou settest a print upon the heels of my feet.

۲۷ و پایهای مرا در کنده می‌گذاری، وجمیع راههایم را نشان می‌کنی و گرد کف پاهایم خط می‌کشی؛

28 And he, as a rotten thing, consumeth, as a garment that is moth eaten.

۲۸ و حال آنکه مثل چیز گندیده فاسد، و مثل جامه بید خورده هستم.
