Job 13
1 Lo, my eye hath seen all this, my ear hath heard and understood it.
視よわが目これを盡く觀 わが耳これを聞て通逹れり
2 What ye know, the same do I know also: I am not inferior to you.
汝らが知るところは我もこれを知る 我は汝らに劣らず
3 Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.
然りと雖ども我は全能者に物言ん 我は神と論ぜんことをのぞむ
4 But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.
汝らは只謊言を造り設くる者 汝らは皆無用の醫師なり
5 O that ye would altogether hold your peace! and it should be your wisdom.
願くは汝ら全く默せよ 然するは汝らの智慧なるべし
6 Hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.
請ふわが論ずる所を聽き 我が唇にて辨爭ふ所を善く聽け
7 Will ye speak wickedly for God? and talk deceitfully for him?
神のために汝ら惡き事を言や 又かれのために虚僞を述るや
8 Will ye accept his person? will ye contend for God?
汝ら神の爲に偏るや またかれのために爭はんとするや
9 Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye so mock him?
神もし汝らを鑒察たまはば豈善らんや 汝等人を欺むくごとくに彼を欺むき得んや
10 He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly accept persons.
汝等もし密に私しするあらば彼かならず汝らを責ん
11 Shall not his excellency make you afraid? and his dread fall upon you?
その威光なんぢらを懼れしめざらんや 彼を懼るる畏懼なんぢらに臨まざらんや
12 Your remembrances are like ashes, your bodies to bodies of clay.
なんぢらの諭言は灰に譬ふべし なんぢらの城は土の城となる
13 Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak, and let come on me what will.
默して我にかかはらざれ 我言語んとす 何事にもあれ我に來らば來れ
14 Why do I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in my hand?
我なんぞ我肉をわが齒の間に置き わが生命をわが手に置かんや
15 Though he shall slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will defend my own ways before him.
彼われを殺すとも我は彼に依賴まん 唯われは吾道を彼の前に明かにせんとす
16 He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him.
彼また終に我救拯とならん 邪曲なる者は彼の前にいたること能はざればなり
17 Hear diligently my speech, and my declaration with your ears.
なんぢら聽よ 我言を聽け我が述る所をなんぢらの耳に入しめよ
18 Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified.
視よ我すでに吾事を言竝べたり 必ず義しとせられんと自ら知る
19 Who is he that will plead with me? for now, if I hold my tongue, I shall give up the ghost.
誰か能われと辨論ふ者あらん 若あらば我は口を緘て死ん
20 Only do not two things to me: then will I not hide myself from thee.
惟われに二の事を爲たまはざれ 然ば我なんぢの面をさけて隱れじ
21 Withdraw thy hand far from me: and let not thy dread make me afraid.
なんぢの手を我より離したまへ 汝の威嚴をもて我を懼れしめたまはざれ
22 Then call thou, and I will answer: or let me speak, and answer thou me.
而して汝われを召たまへ 我こたへん 又われにも言はしめて汝われに答へたまへ
23 How many are my iniquities and sins? make me to know my transgression and my sin.
我の愆われの罪いくばくなるや 我の背反と罪とを我に知しめたまへ
24 Why hidest thou thy face, and holdest me for thy enemy?
何とて御顏を隱し我をもて汝の敵となしたまふや
25 Wilt thou break a leaf driven to and fro? and wilt thou pursue the dry stubble?
なんぢは吹廻さるる木の葉を威し 干あがりたる籾殼を追たまふや
26 For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the iniquities of my youth.
汝は我につきて苦き事等を書しるし 我をして我が幼稚時の罪を身に負しめ
27 Thou puttest my feet also in the stocks, and observest carefully all my paths; thou settest a print upon the heels of my feet.
わが足を足械にはめ 我すべての道を伺ひ 我足の周圍に限界をつけたまふ
28 And he, as a rotten thing, consumeth, as a garment that is moth eaten.
我は腐れたる者のごとくに朽ゆき 蠹に食るる衣服に等し
