Jeremiah 12

1 Righteous art thou, O LORD, when I plead with thee: yet let me speak with thee of thy judgments: Why doth the way of the wicked prosper? why are they all happy that deal very treacherously?

౧యెహోవా, నా వాదన నీకు వినిపించిన ప్రతిసారీ నువ్వు నీతిమంతుడవుగానే ఉంటావు. అయినా నీ న్యాయ విధానాల గురించి నేను నీతో మాట్లాడతాను. దుర్మార్గులు ఎందుకు వర్ధిల్లుతారు? అపనమ్మకస్తులు విజయాలు సాధిస్తారెందుకు?

2 Thou hast planted them, yea, they have taken root: they grow, yea, they bring forth fruit: thou art near in their mouth, and far from their reins.

౨వారిని నువ్వే నాటావు, వారు వేరు పారి పెరిగి ఫలిస్తున్నారు. వారి మాటలు చూస్తే నువ్వు వారికి దగ్గరగా ఉన్నావు గానీ వారి హృదయాలకు దూరమే.

3 But thou, O LORD, knowest me: thou hast seen me, and tried my heart toward thee: pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.

౩యెహోవా, నీకు నేను బాగా తెలుసు. నన్ను చూస్తూ ఉన్నావు. నా హృదయాన్ని పరిశోధిస్తున్నావు. వధ కోసం ఏర్పాటు చేసిన గొర్రెల్లాగా వారిని తీసుకుపో. వధ రోజు కోసం వారిని ప్రత్యేక పరచు.

4 How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of every field wither, for the wickedness of them that dwell in it? the beasts are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our last end.

౪దాని ప్రజల చెడుతనం వలన భూమి ఎంతకాలం దుఃఖించాలి? దేశంలో గడ్డి ఎన్నాళ్లు ఎండిపోవాలి? జంతువులు, పక్షులు అంతరించి పోతున్నాయి. వారేమో “మనకేం జరగబోతున్నదో దేవునికి తెలియదు” అని చెప్పుకుంటున్నారు.

5 If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, in which thou didst trust, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?

౫యిర్మీయా, నువ్వు పాదచారులతో పరిగెత్తినప్పుడే నీవు అలసిపోయావు కదా, నువ్వు గుర్రపు రౌతులతో ఏ విధంగా పోటీ పడతావు? నెమ్మదిగా ఉన్న ప్రాంతంలోనే నువ్వు నిశ్చింతగా ఉండగలవు. మరి యొర్దాను పరవళ్ళు తొక్కుతూ వస్తే నీవేం చేస్తావు?

6 For even thy brethren, and the house of thy father, even they have dealt treacherously with thee; yea, they have called a multitude after thee: believe them not, though they speak fair words to thee.

౬నీ సోదరులు, నీ తండ్రి ఇంటివారు సైతం నిన్ను మోసం చేసి అల్లరి చేశారు. వారు నీతో ఎంత దయగా మాటలాడినా నువ్వు వారిని నమ్మవద్దు.

7 I have forsaken my house, I have left my heritage; I have given the dearly beloved of my soul into the hand of her enemies.

౭నేను నా మందిరం విడిచిపెట్టాను. నా వారసత్వాన్ని వదిలేశాను. నా ప్రియమైన ప్రజలను వారి శత్రువుల చేతికి అప్పగించాను.

8 My heritage is to me as a lion in the forest; it crieth out against me: therefore have I hated it.

౮నా వారసత్వం నాకు అడవిలోని సింహంలాగా అయ్యింది. అది నా మీద గర్జిస్తూ ఉంది. కాబట్టి అది నాకు అసహ్యం అయ్యింది.

9 My heritage is to me as a speckled bird, the birds on every side are against her; come ye, assemble all the beasts of the field, come to devour.

౯నా వారసత్వం నాకు ఒక హైనా జంతువులాగా అయ్యింది. క్రూరపక్షులు దాని చుట్టూ గుమిగూడి ఉంటున్నాయి. రండి, అవి తినడానికి అడవి జంతువులన్నిటినీ పోగు చేయండి.

10 Many shepherds have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.

౧౦అనేకమంది కాపరులు నా ద్రాక్షతోటలను పాడు చేశారు. నా ఆస్తిని తొక్కివేశారు. నాకిష్టమైన పొలాన్ని బీడుగా ఎడారిగా చేశారు.

11 They have made it desolate, and being desolate it mourneth to me; the whole land is made desolate, because no man layeth it to heart.

౧౧వారు దాన్ని పాడు చేయడం చూసి నేను దుఃఖిస్తున్నాను. దేశమంతా పాడైపోయింది. దాని గూర్చి బాధపడే వాడు ఒక్కడూ లేడు.

12 The spoilers have come upon all high places through the wilderness: for the sword of the LORD shall devour from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land: no flesh shall have peace.

౧౨వినాశకులు అరణ్యంలోని ఖాళీ స్థలాలన్నిటి మీదకీ వస్తున్నారు. దేశం ఈ అంచు నుండి ఆ అంచు వరకూ యెహోవా ఖడ్గం తిరుగుతూ హతం చేస్తున్నది. నరులన్నవారికి ఏమీ భద్రత లేదు.

13 They have sown wheat, but shall reap thorns: they have put themselves to pain, but shall not profit: and they shall be ashamed of your revenues because of the fierce anger of the LORD.

౧౩ప్రజలు గోదుమలు చల్లారు కానీ ముండ్ల పంట కోస్తారు. పనిలో అలసిపోతున్నారు గాని ప్రయోజనం లేదు. యెహోవా కోపం కారణంగా కోయడానికి పంట లేక మీరు సిగ్గుపడతారు.

14 Thus saith the LORD against all my evil neighbours, that touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit; Behold, I will pluck them out of their land, and pluck out the house of Judah from among them.

౧౪యెహోవా చెప్పేదేమంటే “నేను ఇశ్రాయేలు అనే నా ప్రజలకు ఇచ్చిన వారసత్వాన్ని ఆక్రమించుకొనే దుష్టులను వారి దేశాల నుండి పెళ్లగిస్తాను. వారి మధ్య నుండి యూదావారిని బయటికి తెస్తాను.

15 And it shall come to pass, after I have plucked them out I will return, and have compassion on them, and will bring them again, every man to his heritage, and every man to his land.

౧౫ఆ యా దేశాలను పెళ్ళగించిన తరువాత నేను మళ్ళీ వారి మీద జాలిపడతాను. వారి వారసత్వాలకు, వారి దేశాలకు వారిని తిరిగి రప్పిస్తాను.”

16 And it shall come to pass, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, to swear by my name, The LORD liveth; as they taught my people to swear by Baal; then shall they be built in the midst of my people.

౧౬వారు “బయలు తోడు” అని ప్రమాణం చేయడం నా ప్రజలకు నేర్పారు. ఇప్పుడు వారు “యెహోవా జీవం తోడు” అని నా పేరున ప్రమాణం చేయడానికి నా ప్రజల విధానాలను జాగ్రత్తగా నేర్చుకుంటే వారు నా ప్రజల మధ్య అభివృద్ధి చెందుతారు.

17 But if they will not obey, I will utterly pluck up and destroy that nation, saith the LORD.

౧౭అయితే వారు నా మాట వినకపోతే నేను ఆ జనాలను వేరుతో సహా పెళ్ళగించి వారిని సంపూర్ణంగా నాశనం చేస్తాను. ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.
