Isaiah 5
1 Now will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved concerning his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:
१मला माझ्या प्रियासाठी गाणे गाऊ द्या, माझ्या प्रियाच्या द्राक्षमळ्याविषयीचे हे गीत आहे. माझ्या प्रियाचा द्राक्षमळा अतिशय सुपीक डोंगरावर आहे.
2 And he dug it, and removed its stones, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress in it: and he expected that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.
२माझ्या मित्राने खणून जमीन साफसूफ केली. तिच्यामध्ये अतिशय उत्तम प्रतीच्या द्राक्षाची लागवड केली. त्याने मळ्याच्या मध्यभागी एक टेहळणी बुरूज बांधला आणि त्यामध्ये द्राक्षकुंडहि खणले, मग त्याने द्राक्षे द्यावी या अपेक्षेत होता पण त्यातून रानद्राक्षे निघाली.
3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, between me and my vineyard.
३म्हणून आता, “यरूशलेमेमध्ये राहणाऱ्यांनो व यहूदातल्या पुरुषांनो, माझा आणि माझ्या द्राक्षमळ्याचा न्याय करा.
4 What more could have been done to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? Why, when I expected that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?
४मी माझ्या द्राक्षमळ्यासाठी जे केले आहे, त्यापेक्षा मी आणखी करायला पाहीजे असते? चांगले द्राक्ष यावे म्हणून मी त्याकडे पाहिले असता, त्याने का रानद्राक्षे उत्पन्न केले?
5 And now come; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall of it, and it shall be trodden down:
५आता मी माझ्या द्राक्षमळ्याचे काय करणार आहे ते तुम्हास सांगतो. मळ्याच्या संरक्षणासाठी लावलेले काटेरी कुंपण काढीन. मी त्यास कुरण असे करीन, त्याच्या आवाराची दगडी भिंत फोडून टाकील आणि ती पायाने तुडवीली जाईल.
6 And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor dug; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.
६मी तो उजाड करीन, त्यास खच्ची करणार नाहीत व कुदळणार नाहीत, पण तण व काटेकुटे फुटतील, तेथे पाऊस न पाडण्याची मी ढगांना आज्ञा करीन.”
7 For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.
७कारण सेनाधीश परमेश्वराचा द्राक्षमळा म्हणजे इस्राएल घराणे होय. आणि यहूदाचे पुरुष हे त्यातील आनंददायी लागवड होय. त्याने न्यायाची वाट पाहिली, परंतु त्याऐवजी, तेथे मारणे; न्यायीपणाची वाट पाहिली, परंतू त्याऐवजी, मदतीचा आक्रोश आढळून आला.
8 Woe to them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there is no place, that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth!
८जे घराला घर आणि आपण देशामध्ये रहावे म्हणून जागा न उरेपर्यंत शेताला शेत लावतात, त्यांना हाय हाय!
9 In my ears said the LORD of hosts, Of a truth many houses shall be desolate, even great and fair, without inhabitant.
९सेनाधीश परमेश्वर माझ्याशी बोलला, “तेथे खूप घरे रिकामी होतील, मोठी व सुंदर घरे राहणाऱ्यांशिवाय ओसाड पडतील.
10 Yea, ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of an homer shall yield an ephah.
१०दहा एकर द्राक्षमळा एक बाथ रस देईल, आणि एक होमर बी केवळ एक एफा उपज देईल.
11 Woe to them that rise early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflames them!
११सकाळी उठून मद्याच्या शोधास लागणाऱ्यांनो तुम्हास हाय हाय! जे तुम्ही मद्यापानाने धुंद होऊन रात्री उशिरापर्यंत जागत राहता.
12 And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the LORD, neither consider the operation of his hands.
१२मद्य, सारंगी, डफ, बासरी आणि इतर वाद्ये यांच्या संगतीत तुम्ही मेजवान्या करता पण त्यांना परमेश्वराची कार्ये त्यांना दिसत नाहीत, किंवा त्याच्या हातची कामे ते विचारात घेत नाहीत.
13 Therefore my people have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.
१३यास्तव माझे लोक ज्ञानाच्या अभावामुळे पाडावपणांत गेले आहेत, त्यांचे अधिकारी भुकेले आहेत आणि त्यांच्या समुदायाला पिण्यास पाणी नाही.
14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. (Sheol h7585)
१४यास्तव मृत्यूने आपली भुक वाढवली आहे आणि आपले तोंड मोठे उघडले आहे. आणि त्यांचे उत्तम लोक, त्यांचा समुदाय, त्यांचे अधिकारी, आणि त्यांच्यातील मौजमजा करणारे आणि आनंदी, हे अधोलोकात जातील.” (Sheol h7585)
15 And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be abased:
१५मनुष्यास खाली आणले आहे, महान मनुष्य नम्र केला गेला आहे, आणि गर्वीष्ठांचे डोळे खालावले आहेत.
16 But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.
१६सेनाधीश परमेश्वर आपल्या न्यायात उंचावला जातो, आणि देव जो पवित्र आहे आपल्या न्यायीपणा द्वारे आपणाला पवित्र प्रकट करतो.
17 Then shall the lambs feed after their manner, and the waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat.
१७मग मेंढ्या त्यांच्या कुरणात असल्यासारखे चरतील, आणि श्रीमंतांच्या ओसाड भूमीवर कोकरे चरतील.
18 Woe to them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope:
१८जे रितेपणाच्या दोऱ्यांनी अन्याय ओढतात आणि जे गाडीच्या दोरांनी पाप ओढतात त्यांना हाय हाय!
19 That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near and come, that we may know it!
१९जे असे म्हणतात, “देव घाई करो, तो त्वरीत कृती करो, म्हणजे आम्ही ते झालेले पाहू, आणि इस्राएलाच्या पवित्र्याच्या योजना आकार घेऊन येवोत, म्हणजे त्या आम्ही जाणावे. त्यांना हायहाय!”
20 Woe to them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
२०जे चांगल्यास वाईट आणि वाईटास चांगले म्हणतात. ते प्रकाशाला अंधार व अंधाराला प्रकाश म्हणून त्याचे प्रतिनिधित्व करतात, जे कडुपणाला गोड असे व गोडला कडु असे सादर करतात, त्यांना हाय हाय!
21 Woe to them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
२१जे स्वत: च्या नजरेत आपणास शहाणे समजतात आणि आपल्या मताने विचारवंत आहेत त्यांना हायहाय!
22 Woe to them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mix strong drink:
२२जे मद्य पिण्यामध्ये विजेते आहेत आणि मद्याचे मिश्रण करण्यात जे प्रवीण आहेत, त्यांना हायहाय!
23 Who justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
२३जे पैशासाठी दुष्टाला न्यायी ठरवितात, आणि निर्दोषाला त्याच्या अधिकारांपासून वंचित ठेवतात, त्यांना हायहाय!
24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
२४यास्तव ज्याप्रमाणे आग धसकट खाऊन टाकते आणि जसे सुके गवत आगीच्या जाळात राख होऊन पडते, त्याप्रमाणे त्यांचे मूळ कुजणार आणि त्यांचा बहर धूळीसारखा उडला जाईल. कारण त्यांनी सेनाधीश परमेश्वराची आज्ञा मानण्यास, नकार दिला आणि इस्राएलाच्या पवित्र देवाच्या संदेशाचा त्यांनी तिरस्कार केला.
25 Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills trembled, and their dead bodies were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
२५म्हणून परमेश्वराचा क्रोध त्याच्या लोकांवर पेटला आहे, आणि त्याने आपला हात, त्यांच्यावर उगारून त्यांना शिक्षा केली आहे. डोंगरसुध्दा भीतीने कापले आहेत आणि त्यांची मृतदेह कचऱ्याप्रमाणे रस्त्यावर पडली आहेत. हे सर्व असूनही देवाचा राग शांत झाला नाही, पण त्याचा हात लोकांस शिक्षा करण्याकरीता उगारलेलाच राहील.
26 And he will lift up an ensign to the nations from afar, and will hiss to them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:
२६तो दूरच्या राष्ट्रांना खूण म्हणून झेंडा उंच करील आणि पृथ्वीवरच्यांसाठी तो शीळ वाजवील, पाहा ते त्वरेने आणि तातडीने येत आहेत.
27 None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the belt of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken:
२७त्यांच्या मध्ये कोणीच थकलेला व ठेच लागलेला असणार नाही, त्यांचा कमरबंद कधीच सैल पडणार नाही, आणि त्यांच्या पादत्राणांचे बंद कधीच तुटणार नाहीत.
28 Whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent, their horses’ hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind:
२८त्यांचे बाण तीक्ष्ण आहेत आणि त्यांचे धनुष्ये वाकलेली आहेत. त्यांच्या घोड्यांचे खूर गारगोटी सारखे आहेत आणि त्यांच्या रथाचे चाक वादळा प्रमाणे आहेत.
29 Their roaring shall be like a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and shall carry it away safe, and none shall deliver it.
२९त्यांची गर्जना जणूकाय सिंहाच्या गर्जनेसारखी असणार, तरूण सिंहासारखे ते गर्जना करतील. ते गर्जतील आणि आपल्या भक्ष्याला पकडून खेचत नेतील, वाचवणारा कोणीच नसेल.
30 And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if one looketh to the land, behold darkness and sorrow, and the light is darkened in its heavens.
३०त्या दिवशी जसा समुद्रगर्जना करतो त्या प्रमाणे ते आपल्या भक्ष्याविरूद्ध गर्जना करतील. जर कोणी भूमीकडे दृष्टी लावली तर पाहा अंधार व संकट आणि तिच्यावरील अभ्रांनी प्रकाश जाऊन अंधार झालेला आहे.
