Isaiah 4

1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.

Et sept femmes prendront un homme, disant: Nous mangerons notre pain, et nous nous revêtirons de robes à nous; seulement que ton nom soit notre nom, ôte-nous notre opprobre.

2 In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be the pride and glory of them that have escaped of Israel.

Et ce jour-là Dieu, en son conseil, brillera avec gloire sur la terre, pour relever et glorifier le reste d'Israël.

3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:

Et il arrivera que le reste de Sion, le reste de Jérusalem, tous ceux qui auront été inscrits à Jérusalem dans la vie, seront appelés saints.

4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst of it by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

Car le Seigneur lavera la souillure des fils et des filles de Sion; et du sang versé parmi eux il la purifiera en un esprit de justice et un met d'ardeur.

5 And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.

Et voici ce qui arrivera: tout lieu de la montagne de Sion et tout ce qui l'entoure sera ombragé le jour par une nuée qui deviendra la nuit comme une fumée, comme la lumière d'un foyer ardent, et le Seigneur les abritera de toute sa gloire.

6 And there shall be a tabernacle for shade in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

Ce sera comme de l'ombre contre la chaleur, comme une toiture et un abri contre le froid et la pluie.
