Isaiah 3
1 For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the rod and the staff, the whole support of bread, and the whole support of water,
੧ਹੁਣ ਵੇਖੋ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਆਸਰਾ ਤੇ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਲੈ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਅਰਥਾਤ ਰੋਟੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ,
2 The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,
੨ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਤੇ ਯੋਧਾ, ਨਿਆਈਂ ਤੇ ਨਬੀ, ਫ਼ਾਲ ਪਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਤੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ,
3 The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the skilful craftsman, and the eloquent orator.
੩ਪੰਜਾਹਾਂ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਤੇ ਰਈਸ, ਦਰਬਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਕਾਰੀਗਰ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਤਰ ਜਾਦੂਗਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
4 And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.
੪ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਮੁੰਡਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਾਕਮ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
5 And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the elder, and the base against the honourable.
੫ਲੋਕ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਜੁਆਨ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਦੀ, ਅਤੇ ਨੀਚ ਪਤਵੰਤੇ ਦੀ ਬੇਇੱਜ਼ਤੀ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
6 When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand:
੬ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਆਖੇਗਾ, - ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਚੋਗਾ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡਾ ਆਗੂ ਹੋ, ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਉੱਜੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਢੇਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਹੇਠ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
7 In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people.
੭ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਉਹ ਉੱਚੀ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਆਖੇਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਪੱਟੀ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ, ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਰੋਟੀ ਹੈ ਨਾ ਚੋਗਾ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਨਾ ਠਹਿਰਾਓ!
8 For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.
੮ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤਾਂ ਠੇਡਾ ਖਾ ਗਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਤੇਜਵਾਨ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
9 The show of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe to their soul! for they have rewarded evil to themselves.
੯ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਦੂਮ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਪਰਗਟ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੁਕਾਉਂਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ, - ਹਾਏ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ! ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਲੈ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
੧੦ਧਰਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੋ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਖਾਣਗੇ।
11 Woe to the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
੧੧ਹਾਏ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਉੱਤੇ! ਉਹ ਦਾ ਬੁਰਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਆਪ ਭੋਗੇਗਾ
12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they who lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
੧੨ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ! ਬੱਚੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰ ਕਰਦੇ, ਅਤੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ! ਤੇਰੇ ਆਗੂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਭਟਕਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਮਾਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਟਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
13 The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people.
੧੩ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੁਕੱਦਮਾ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ।
14 The LORD will enter into judgment with the elders of his people, and with their princes: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses.
੧੪ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਨਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਗੂਰੀ ਬਾਗ਼ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਟ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੁੱਟ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਹੀ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ।
15 What mean ye that ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor? saith the Lord GOD of hosts.
੧੫ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਕੀ ਮਤਲਬ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਬਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋ, ਅਤੇ ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਗੜਦੇ ਹੋ?
16 Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with extended necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:
੧੬ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਹੰਕਾਰਨਾਂ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਗਰਦਨ ਅਕੜਾ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਮਟਕਾ ਕੇ ਤੁਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਠੁਮਕ-ਠੁਮਕ ਚਾਲ ਚੱਲਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਘੁੰਗਰੂ ਛਣਕਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ,
17 Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will uncover their secret parts.
੧੭ਹੁਣ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਗੰਜਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੰਗੇ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
18 In that day the Lord will take away the show of their tinkling anklets, and their scarves, and their necklaces like the moon,
੧੮ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਜੇਬਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਜਾਵਟ, ਅਤੇ ਜਾਲੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਚੰਦਨਹਾਰ ਲੈ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ,
19 The pendant, and the bracelets, and the veils,
੧੯ਛੁਮਕੇ, ਛਣਕੰਗਣ, ਘੁੰਡ,
20 The headdresses, and the leg ornaments, and the headbands, and the perfume bottles, and the charms,
੨੦ਚੌਂਕ, ਕੰਗਣ, ਪਟਕੇ, ਅਤਰਦਾਨੀਆਂ, ਚੌਂਕੀਆਂ,
21 The rings, and nose jewels,
੨੧ਅਤੇ ਮੁੰਦਰੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਨੱਥਾਂ,
22 The fine robes, and the mantles, and the outer garments, and the purses,
੨੨ਰਾਖਵੇਂ ਕੱਪੜੇ, ਚੱਦਰਾਂ, ਦੁਪੱਟੇ ਅਤੇ ਖੀਸੇ,
23 The mirrors, and the fine linen, and the turbans, and the veils.
੨੩ਆਰਸੀਆਂ, ਮਲਮਲ, ਸਾਫ਼ੇ ਅਤੇ ਬੁਰਕੇ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
24 And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be a foul odour; and instead of a belt a rope; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a rich robe a girding of sackcloth; and a brand instead of beauty.
੨੪ਅਤੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਸੁਗੰਧ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਸੜਿਆਂਧ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਪਟਕੇ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਰੱਸੀ, ਮੀਢੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਗੰਜ, ਚੋਲੀ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਟਾਟ ਦੀ ਪੇਟੀ, ਸੁਹੱਪਣ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਦਾਗ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
25 Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war.
੨੫ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁਰਖ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿੱਗਣਗੇ।
26 And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she being desolate shall sit upon the ground.
੨੬ਸਿਯੋਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਫਾਟਕ ਵਿਰਲਾਪ ਤੇ ਸੋਗ ਕਰਨਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਲੁੱਟ-ਪੁੱਟ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਬੈਠੇਗੀ।
