Isaiah 28
1 Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, who are on the head of the rich valleys of them that are overcome with wine!
१एफ्राइममधील मद्यप्यांनो तुमच्या गर्वाच्या मुकुटाला हायहाय! आणि धुंद झालेल्या सुपिक खोऱ्याच्या माथ्यावरील मोठी शोभा देणारे जे कोमेजणारे फुल त्यास हायहाय!
2 Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, who as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.
२पाहा! परमेश्वराकडे पराक्रमी आणि बलवान असा एक आहे. तो गारपिटीप्रमाणे आहे. नष्ट करणाऱ्या वादळाप्रमाणे, आणि प्रचंड ढगफूटी प्रमाणे, तो पृथ्वीला आपल्या हाताने ताडना करेल.
3 The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, shall be trodden under feet:
३एफ्राइममधील मद्याप्यांचा अभिमानी मुकुट पायाखाली तुडवला जाईल.
4 And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of the rich valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the early fruit before the summer; which when he that looketh upon it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.
४त्याच्या वैभवशाली सौंदर्याचे कोमेजणारे फूल, जे खोऱ्याच्या माथ्यावर आहे, उन्हाळ्यात झाडावर प्रथम आलेल्या अंजिरांप्रमाणे त्याची स्थिती होईल, त्याकडे पाहणारा पाहतो तेव्हा तो त्याच्या हातांत असतानांच तो खाऊन टाकतो.
5 In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, to the remnant of his people,
५त्या दिवशी सेनाधीश परमेश्वर आपल्या लोकांच्या उरलेल्यांना सुंदर मुकुट असा होईल.
6 And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.
६आणि जो न्याय करत बसतो त्यास तो न्यायाचा आत्मा आणि जे वेशीजवळ लढाई मागे हटवतात त्यांना तो पराक्रम असा होईल.
7 But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are overwhelmed with wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.
७पण हे सुद्धा द्राक्षरसाने हेलकावे खात आहेत, आणि मादक मद्यानी अडखळत आहेत. याजक व संदेष्टे सर्वच जण द्राक्षरस व मद्य पिऊन धुंद झाले आहेत आणि मद्याने त्यांना गिळून घेतले आहे. ते मद्याने अडखळून पडत आहेत आणि ते दृष्टांतात भ्रमतात, ते न्याय करण्यात अडखळतात.
8 For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.
८खरोखर सर्व मेजे ओकारीने भरलेली आहेत, कोठेही स्वच्छ जागा राहिलेली नाही.
9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
९तो कोणाला ज्ञान शिकवील? आणि तो कोणाला निरोप समजावेल? दुग्धापासून दूर केलेल्यांना किंवा स्तनपानापासून दूर केलेल्यांना काय?
10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
१०कारण नियमा वर नियम, नियमावर नियम, ओळीवर ओळ, ओळीवर ओळ, इथे थोडे, तिथे थोडे, असे आहे.
11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
११खरच, तोतऱ्या ओठांनी आणि अन्य भाषेने तो या लोकांशी बोलेल.
12 To whom he said, This is the rest which ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
१२पूर्वी तो त्यांना म्हणाला, “येथे विश्रांती आहे, थकलेल्यांना येथे येऊन विश्रांती घेऊ द्या, आणि हे उत्साहवर्धक आहे.” पण ते काही ऐकेनात.
13 But the word of the LORD was to them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
१३लोकांस परमेश्वराचे बोलणे परक्या भाषेसारखे अनाकलनीय वाटले. हुकूमावर हुकूम, हुकूमावर हुकूम, नियमावर नियम, नियमावर नियम, थोडे इकडे, थोडे तिकडे, एक धडा तिकडे. लोकांनी स्वत: ला पाहिजे ते केले. म्हणून ते मागे पडून पराभूत झाले, ते सापळ्यात अडकले आणि पकडले गेले.
14 Therefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people who are in Jerusalem.
१४याकरिता, जे तुम्ही थट्टा करता, आणि जे तुम्ही यरूशलेमेवर राज्य करता, ते तुम्ही परमेश्वराचे वचन काय म्हणते ते ऐका.
15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we in agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not reach us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: (Sheol h7585)
१५तुम्ही म्हटले, “आम्ही मृत्यूबरोबर करारनामा केला आहे. अधोलोकाशी आम्ही करार केला आहे म्हणून आम्हांला शिक्षा होणार नाही, जेव्हा बुडवणारी शिक्षा पार केली जाईल तेव्हा ती आमच्यापर्यंत येऊ शकणार नाही; कारण आम्ही कपटाच्या मागे लपलो आहोत व असत्याला आपले आश्रय केले आहे.” (Sheol h7585)
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
१६यासाठी परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू म्हणतो, “पाहा, मी सियोनेत आधारशिला, पारखलेला धोंडा, कोपऱ्याचा मोलवान धोंडा, स्थीर पाया म्हणून घालतो. जो कोणी त्यावर विश्वास ठेवेल, तो लाजवला जाणार नाही.
17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
१७मी न्याय मोजमापाची काठी, आणि नितीमत्ता हा ओळंबा असे करीन, तेव्हा गारपीट खोट्यांचे आश्रय झाडून टाकील, आणि पूराचे पाणी लपण्याच्या जागा झाकून टाकील.”
18 And your covenant with death shall be broken, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. (Sheol h7585)
१८तुमचा मृत्यूशी असलेला करारनामा विरवला जाईल आणि अधोलोकाशी तुमचा झालेला करार रद्द केला जाईल. जेव्हा प्रकोपाचा पूर पार केला जाईल, त्या द्वारे तुम्ही झाकले जाल. (Sheol h7585)
19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.
१९जेव्हा तो पार जाईल तेव्हा तो तुला झाकून टाकेल. आणि रोज रोज सकाळी, दिवसा आणि रात्री तो पार जाईल. आणि जेव्हा संदेश कळेल, तर ते भयच असे होईल.
20 For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.
२०कारण अंथरूण पाय पसरावयास खूप लहान आहे, आणि पांघरुण पांघरायला पुरत नाही एवढे ते अरुंद आहे.
21 For the LORD shall rise as on mount Perazim, he shall be angry as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.
२१जसा परासीम डोंगरामध्ये परमेश्वर उभा राहिला होता, जसा तो गिबोन दरीत रागावला होता त्याप्रमाणे तो रागावेल. अशासाठी की त्याने आपले कार्य, त्याचे अद्भूत कृत्य आणि त्याचे विस्मयकारी कृत्य करावे.
22 Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a destruction, even determined upon the whole earth.
२२तर आता तुम्ही थट्टा करू नका, नाहीतर तुमची बंधणे घट्ट करण्यात येतील. कारण पृथ्वीवर नाश होण्याचा ठराव, मी सेनाधीश परमेश्वरापासून ऐकला आहे.
23 Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.
२३मी सांगत असलेला संदेश लक्षपूर्वक ऐका, सावध असा, माझे शब्द ऐका.
24 Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he open and break the clods of his ground?
२४पेरणी करण्यासाठी शेतकरी सतत शेत नांगरतो का? तो सतत मशागत करतो का?
25 When he hath made even the face of it, doth he not cast abroad the black cummin, and scatter the cummin, and cast in the wheat in rows and the appointed barley and the rye in their place?
२५त्याने जमीन तयार केल्यावरच तो काळे जिरे टाकतो व जिरे विखरतो, तो गहू रांगेत आणि जव नेमलेल्या ठिकाणी आणि त्याच्या काठाला काठ्या गहू पेरीत नाही काय?
26 For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him.
२६कारण त्याचा देव त्यास सूचना देतो, तो त्यास सुज्ञपणे शिकवतो.
27 For the black cummin are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the black cummin are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod.
२७शिवाय, काळे जिरे घणाने मळत नाही, किंवा तिच्यावर गाडीचे चाक फिरवले जात नाही, पण काळे जिरे काठीने आणि जिरे दंडाने झोडतात.
28 Bread grain is ground; because he will not always be threshing it, nor break it with the wheel of his cart, nor grind it with his horsemen.
२८भाकरीसाठी धान्य दळतात, पण ते नीट दळले जात नाही. आणि जरी त्याच्या गाडीचे चाक व त्याचे घोडे ते विखरतात तरी तो ते दळीत नाही.
29 This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom.
२९सेनाधीश परमेश्वर, जो संकल्पात सुंदर आहे आणि ज्ञानाने श्रेष्ठ आहे. त्याच्याकडून हे आहे.
