Isaiah 18

1 Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Cush:

எத்தியோப்பிய நதிகளுக்கு அப்பால், இரைச்சலையுடைய செட்டைகளின் நாடே, ஐயோ உனக்குக் கேடு!

2 That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and stripped, to a people terrible from their beginning to this time; a nation powerful and oppressive, whose land the rivers have spoiled!

இந்த நாடு நாணல் படகுகளில் தண்ணீரின்மேல் கடல் வழியாகத் தூதுவரை அனுப்புகிறது. விரைந்து செல்லும் தூதுவர்களே, உயரமானவர்களும் மிருதுவான மேனியை உடையவர்களும், தூரத்திலும் அருகிலும் உள்ளோரை பயமுறுத்திய மக்களிடம் போங்கள். இவர்கள் வலிமைமிக்கவர்கள், பகைவரை மிதித்து வெற்றிபெறுபவர்கள்; இவர்களுடைய நாடு ஆறுகளால் பிரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

3 All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.

உலகத்தில் வாழ்பவர்களும், பூமியின் குடிமக்களே, நீங்கள் யாவரும் மலைமேல் கொடியேற்றப்படும்போது, அதைக் காண்பீர்கள். எக்காளம் முழங்கும்போது அதைக் கேட்பீர்கள்.

4 For so the LORD said to me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.

யெகோவா என்னிடம் கூறுவது இதுவே: “சூரிய ஒளியின் இளஞ்சூட்டைப் போலவும், அறுவடைகால வெப்பத்தின்போது வரும் மூடுபனிபோலவும் நான் என்னுடைய உறைவிடத்தில் அமைதியாய் இருந்து பார்ப்பேன்.”

5 For before the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches.

ஏனெனில் அறுவடைக்குமுன், திராட்சை பூத்து, காய்த்து, பழங்களாகும்போது, யெகோவா எத்தியோப்பியரை தளிர்களாகவும், படரும் கிளைகளாகவும் அரிவாள்களால் வெட்டி அப்புறப்படுத்தி விடுவார்.

6 They shall be left together to the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.

அவையெல்லாம் இரைபிடிக்கும் மலைகளின் பிணந்தின்னும் பறவைகளுக்கும், காட்டு மிருகங்களுக்கும் விடப்படும்; பிணந்தின்னும் பறவைகள் கோடைகாலத்திலும், காட்டு மிருகங்கள் மாரிகாலத்திலும் அவைகளைத் தின்னும்.

7 In that time shall the present be brought to the LORD of hosts of a people scattered and stripped, and from a people terrible from their beginning to this time; a nation powerful and oppressive, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion.

உயரமானவர்களும் மிருதுவான மேனியை உடையவர்களும், தூரத்திலும் அருகிலும் உள்ளோரை பயமுறுத்திய மக்களிடமிருந்து சேனைகளின் யெகோவாவுக்கு அந்நேரத்தில் கொடைகள் கொண்டுவரப்படும். இவர்கள் வலிமைமிக்கவர்கள், பகைவரை மிதித்து வெற்றிபெறுபவர்கள்; இவர்களுடைய நாடு ஆறுகளால் பிரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்தக் கொடைகள் சேனைகளின் யெகோவாவினுடைய பெயருக்குரிய இடமாகிய சீயோன் மலைக்குக் கொண்டுவரப்படும்.
