Isaiah 18

1 Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Cush:

ಕೂಷ್ ನದಿಯ ಆಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸೀಮೆ, ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪಟಪಟನೆ ಬಡಿಯುವ ನಾಡಿಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟ!

2 That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and stripped, to a people terrible from their beginning to this time; a nation powerful and oppressive, whose land the rivers have spoiled!

ಇದು ಆಪಿನ ದೋಣಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮುದ್ರ ಮಾರ್ಗದಿಂದ ರಾಯಭಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೀರಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಶೀಘ್ರವಾಗಿ ಬರುತ್ತಿರುವ ದೂತರೇ, ಎತ್ತರವಾದವರೂ, ನುಣುಪಾದ ಚರ್ಮವುಳ್ಳ ಜನರ ಬಳಿಗೂ, ಸರ್ವರಿಗೂ ಭಯಪ್ರಧರಾಗಿರುವ ಜನರ ಬಳಿಗೂ, ವಿಚಿತ್ರ ಭಾಷೆಯಿರುವ ಹಾಗೂ ನದಿಗಳಿಂದ ವಿಂಗಡವಾಗಿರುವ ಆಕ್ರಮಣಕಾರಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದವರ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಹೋಗಿರಿ.

3 All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.

ಜಗದ ಸಕಲ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೇ! ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವವರೇ! ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಧ್ವಜವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತುವಾಗ ಅದನ್ನು ನೀವು ನೋಡುವಿರಿ, ತುತೂರಿಯನ್ನು ಊದುವಾಗ ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ.

4 For so the LORD said to me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.

ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು, “ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು. ಬಿಸಿಹಗಲಿನ ಸೂರ್ಯನಂತೆಯೂ ಸುಗ್ಗಿಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಂಜಿನ ಮೋಡದಂತೆಯೂ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ನಿವಾಸಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿರುವೆನು.”

5 For before the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches.

ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಸುಗ್ಗಿಗೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ಮೊಗ್ಗು ಬಿಟ್ಟಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೂವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿ ಕಾಯಿಯಾಗುವಾಗ ಅವರು ಕುಡುಗೋಲುಗಳಿಂದ ಬಳ್ಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿ, ಚಿಗುರುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದುಹಾಕುವರು.

6 They shall be left together to the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.

ಅವುಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಹದ್ದುಗಳಿಗೂ, ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೃಗಗಳಿಗೂ ಆಹಾರವಾಗುವುವು. ಅದು ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೇಸಿಗೆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಕಾಡುಮೃಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಚಳಿಗಾಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಆಹಾರವಾಗುವುದು.

7 In that time shall the present be brought to the LORD of hosts of a people scattered and stripped, and from a people terrible from their beginning to this time; a nation powerful and oppressive, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion.

ಆಗ ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ಹಾಗೂ ನುಣುಪು ಚರ್ಮವುಳ್ಳ ಜನರಿಂದಲೂ, ಸರ್ವರಿಗೂ ಭಯಪ್ರಧರಾದ ಜನರಿಂದಲೂ, ವಿಚಿತ್ರ ಭಾಷೆಯಿಂದ ಹಾಗೂ ನದಿಗಳಿಂದ ವಿಂಗಡವಾಗಿರುವ ಆಕ್ರಮಣಕಾರಿ ಜನರಿಂದಲೂ ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳು ತರಲಾಗುವುದು. ಹೌದು, ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳ ಚೀಯೋನ್ ಪರ್ವತಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳು ತರಲಾಗುವುದು.
