Isaiah 18

1 Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Cush:

೧ಓಹೋ, ಕೂಷಿನ ನದಿಗಳ ಆಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸೀಮೆ, ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪಟಪಟನೆ ಬಡಿಯುವ ನಾಡು,

2 That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and stripped, to a people terrible from their beginning to this time; a nation powerful and oppressive, whose land the rivers have spoiled!

೨ರಾಯಭಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೀರಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಂಡಿನ ದೋಣಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನದಿಯ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವ ದೇಶ, ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಬರುತ್ತಿರುವ ದೂತರೇ, ಎತ್ತರವಾದವರೂ, ನಯವಾದ ಚರ್ಮವುಳ್ಳವರೂ, ಸರ್ವ ಭಯಂಕರರೂ, ಮಹಾ ಬಲದಿಂದ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ತುಳಿಯುವವರೂ, ನದಿಗಳಿಂದ ವಿಭಾಗವಾಗಿರುವ ದೇಶದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೂ ಆದ ಜನಾಂಗದವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ.

3 All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.

೩ಸಮಸ್ತ ಭೂನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೇ, ಲೋಕದ ಸಕಲ ಜನರೇ, ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಧ್ವಜವನ್ನು ಹಾರಿಸುವಾಗ ನೋಡಿರಿ, ತುತ್ತೂರಿಯನ್ನೂದುವಾಗ ಕೇಳಿರಿ!

4 For so the LORD said to me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.

೪ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “ಬಿಸಿಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜಳಜಳಿಸುವ ಧಗೆಯಂತೆಯೂ, ಸುಗ್ಗಿಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಂಜಿನ ಮೋಡದ ಹಾಗೂ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ವಾಸಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮ್ಮನಿದ್ದು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವೆನು” ಎಂಬುದೇ.

5 For before the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches.

೫ಕೊಯ್ಲಿನ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲು ಮೊಗ್ಗು ಬಿಟ್ಟಾದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಹೂವಿನಿಂದ ಹೀಚು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿ ದೋರೆ ಕಾಯಿಯಾಗುವಾಗ, ಆತನು ಕುಡುಗೋಲುಗಳಿಂದ ಬಳ್ಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿ ಚಿಗುರುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದುಹಾಕುವನು.

6 They shall be left together to the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.

೬ಅವೆಲ್ಲವು ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳಿಗೂ, ಭೂಮಿಯ ಕಾಡುಮೃಗಗಳಿಗೂ ಆಹಾರವಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವವು. ಬೇಸಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳಿಗೂ, ಹಿಮಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಡುಮೃಗಗಳಿಗೂ ಆಹಾರವಾಗುವುದು.

7 In that time shall the present be brought to the LORD of hosts of a people scattered and stripped, and from a people terrible from their beginning to this time; a nation powerful and oppressive, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion.

೭ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಎತ್ತರವಾದವರೂ, ನುಣುಪಾದ ಚರ್ಮವುಳ್ಳವರೂ, ಸರ್ವದಾ ಭಯಂಕರರೂ, ಮಹಾ ಬಲದಿಂದ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ತುಳಿಯುವವರೂ, ನದಿಗಳಿಂದ ವಿಭಾಗವಾಗಿರುವ ದೇಶದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೂ ಆದ ಜನಾಂಗದವರು ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ನಾಮ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಚೀಯೋನ್ ಪರ್ವತಕ್ಕೆ, ಆತನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತರುವರು.
