Isaiah 16

1 Send ye the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness, to the mount of the daughter of Zion.

൧നിങ്ങൾ ദേശാധിപതിക്കു വേണ്ടിയുള്ള കുഞ്ഞാടുകളെ സേലയിൽനിന്നു മരുഭൂമിവഴിയായി സീയോൻപുത്രിയുടെ പർവ്വതത്തിലേക്കു കൊടുത്തയയ്ക്കുവിൻ.

2 For it shall be, that, as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, so the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon.

൨മോവാബിന്റെ പുത്രിമാർ കൂട് വിട്ടലയുന്ന പക്ഷികളെപ്പോലെ അർന്നോന്റെ കടവുകളിൽ ഇരിക്കും.

3 Take counsel, execute judgment; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; discover not him that wandereth.

൩“ആലോചന പറഞ്ഞുതരുക; വിധിന്യായം നടത്തുക; നിന്റെ നിഴലിനെ നട്ടുച്ചയ്ക്കു രാത്രിയെപ്പോലെ ആക്കുക; പുറത്താക്കപ്പെട്ടവരെ ഒളിപ്പിക്കുക; അലഞ്ഞു നടക്കുന്നവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കരുത്.

4 Let my outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a covert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.

൪മോവാബിന്റെ പുറത്താക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ പാർത്തുകൊള്ളട്ടെ; കവർച്ചക്കാരന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നീ അവർക്ക് ഒരു മറവായിരിക്കുക;” എന്നാൽ പീഡകൻ ഇല്ലാതെയാകും; കവർച്ച അവസാനിക്കും; ചവിട്ടിക്കളയുന്നവർ ദേശത്തുനിന്ന് മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകും.

5 And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and swiftly executing righteousness.

൫അങ്ങനെ ദയയാൽ സിംഹാസനം സ്ഥിരമായിവരും; അതിന്മേൽ ദാവീദിന്റെ കൂടാരത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഒരുവൻ ന്യായപാലനം ചെയ്തും ന്യായതല്പരനായും നീതിനടത്തുവാൻ വേഗതയുള്ളവനായും നേരോടെ ഇരിക്കും.

6 We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall not be so.

൬ഞങ്ങൾ മോവാബിന്റെ അഹങ്കാരത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്; അവൻ മഹാഗർവ്വിയാകുന്നു; അവന്റെ നിഗളത്തെയും ഡംഭത്തെയും ക്രോധത്തെയും വ്യർത്ഥപ്രശംസയെയും കുറിച്ചും കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.

7 Therefore shall Moab wail for Moab, every one shall wail: for the foundations of Kirhareseth shall ye mourn; surely they are stricken.

൭അതുകൊണ്ട് മോവാബിനെപ്പറ്റി മോവാബ് തന്നെ അലമുറയിടും; എല്ലാവരും അലമുറയിടും; കീർ-ഹരേശെത്തിന്റെ മുന്തിരിയടകളെക്കുറിച്ചു നിങ്ങൾ കേവലം ദുഃഖിതന്മാരായി വിലപിക്കും.

8 For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah: the lords of the heathen have broken down its principal plants, they have come even to Jazer, they wandered through the wilderness: her branches are extended, they have gone over the sea.

൮ഹെശ്ബോൻ വയലുകളും സിബ്മയിലെ മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയും ഉണങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുന്നു; അതിലെ മേല്ത്തരമായ വള്ളി ജനതകളുടെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ ഒടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; അത് യസേർവരെ നീണ്ടു മരുഭൂമിവരെ പടർന്നിരുന്നു; അതിന്റെ ശാഖകൾ പടർന്ന് കടൽ കടന്നിരുന്നു.

9 Therefore I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah: I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy harvest is fallen.

൯അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ യസേരിനോടുകൂടി സിബ്മയിലെ മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയെക്കുറിച്ചു കരയും; ഹെശ്ബോനേ, എലെയാലേ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ എന്റെ കണ്ണുനീരുകൊണ്ടു നനയ്ക്കും; നിന്റെ വേനൽഫലങ്ങൾക്കും നിന്റെ കൊയ്ത്തിനും പോർവിളി നേരിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

10 And gladness is taken away, and joy from the plentiful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither shall there be shouting: the treaders shall tread out no wine in their presses; I have made their vintage shouting to cease.

൧൦സന്തോഷവും ആനന്ദവും വിളനിലത്തുനിന്നു പൊയ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു; മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങളിൽ പാട്ടില്ല, ഉല്ലാസഘോഷവുമില്ല; ചവിട്ടുകാർ ചക്കുകളിൽ മുന്തിരിങ്ങാ ചവിട്ടുകയുമില്ല; മുന്തിരിക്കൊയ്ത്തിന്റെ ആർപ്പുവിളി ഞാൻ നിർത്തിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

11 Therefore my heart shall sound like an harp for Moab, and my inward parts for Kirharesh.

൧൧അതുകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ ഉള്ളം മോവാബിനെക്കുറിച്ചും എന്റെ അന്തരംഗം കീർഹേരെശിനെക്കുറിച്ചും കിന്നരംപോലെ മുഴങ്ങുന്നു.

12 And it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab is weary on the high place, that he shall come to his sanctuary to pray; but he shall not prevail.

൧൨പിന്നെ മോവാബ് പൂജാഗിരിയിൽ ചെന്നു പാടുപെട്ടു ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുവാൻ കടന്നാൽ അവന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥനകൾക്ക് ഫലപ്രാപ്തിയുണ്ടാവുകയില്ല.

13 This is the word that the LORD hath spoken concerning Moab since that time.

൧൩ഇതാകുന്നു യഹോവ പണ്ടുതന്നെ മോവാബിനെക്കുറിച്ച് അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം.

14 But now the LORD hath spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of an hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be despised, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble.

൧൪ഇപ്പോൾ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നതോ: “കൂലിക്കാരന്റെ വർഷംപോലെയുള്ള മൂന്ന് വർഷത്തിനകം മോവാബിന്റെ മഹത്ത്വം അവന്റെ സർവ്വമഹാപുരുഷാരത്തോടുകൂടി തുച്ഛീകരിക്കപ്പെടും; അവന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പ് അത്യല്പവും ദുർബലവും ആയിരിക്കും”.
