Genesis 46
1 And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac.
És elindult Izrael és mindene, amije volt és elérkeztek Beér-Sevába; és ő áldozott áldozatokat az ő atyja, Izsák Istenének.
2 And God spoke to Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.
És szólt Isten Izraelhez éjjeli jelenésben és mondta: Jákob, Jákob! Ő pedig mondta: Itt vagyok.
3 And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:
És mondta: Én vagyok az Isten, atyád Istene, ne félj lemenni Egyiptomba, mert nagy néppé teszlek téged ott.
4 I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.
Én lemegyek veled Egyiptomba és én föl is hozlak téged; József pedig teszi majd kezét szemeidre.
5 And Jacob rose up from Beersheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
És fölkerekedett Jákob Beér-Sevából és vitték Izrael fiai Jákobot, az ő atyjukat, gyermekeiket és feleségeiket a szekereken, melyeket Fáraó küldött, hogy vigyék őt.
6 And they took their cattle, and their goods, which they had gained in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, Jacob, and all his seed with him:
Vették nyájaikat és szerzeményüket, amit szereztek Kánaán országában és eljöttek Egyiptomba; Jákob és minden magzata vele.
7 His sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, and all his seed brought he with him into Egypt.
Fiait és fiainak fiait, leányait és fiainak leányait; minden magzatát elvitte magával Egyiptomba.
8 And these are the names of the children of Israel, who came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn.
Ezek pedig Izrael fiainak nevei, akik eljöttek Egyiptomba, Jákob és fiai; Jákob elsőszülötte: Rúbén.
9 And the sons of Reuben; Hanoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.
Rúbén fiai pedig: Chánóch, Fállú, Checrón és Chármi.
10 And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman.
Simon fiai pedig: Jemúél, Jómin; Óhád, Jóchin és Cóchár, meg Sóúl, a Kánaánita nő fia.
11 And the sons of Levi; Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
Lévi fiai pedig: Gérsón, Kehosz és Meróri.
12 And the sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Pharez, and Zerah: but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Pharez were Hezron and Hamul.
Júda fiai pedig: Ér, Ónon, Séló, Perec és Zerách; de meghaltak Ér meg Ónon Kánaán országában. Perec fiai pedig voltak: Checrón és Chómúl.
13 And the sons of Issachar; Tola, and Phuvah, and Job, and Shimron.
Isszáchár fiai pedig: Tóla, Fuvvó, Jóv és Simrón.
14 And the sons of Zebulun; Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.
Zebúlun fiai pedig: Szered, Élón és Jáchleél.
15 These are the sons of Leah, which she bore to Jacob in Padanaram, with his daughter Dinah: all the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty and three.
Ezek Léa fiai, akiket szült Jákobnak Páddán-Áromban és Dinát, az ő leányát; fiainak és leányainak összes lélekszáma: harminchárom.
16 And the sons of Gad; Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.
Gád fiai pedig: Cifjón, Chággi, Súni és Ecbón; Éri, Áródi és Áréli.
17 And the sons of Asher; Jimnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah, and Serah their sister: and the sons of Beriah; Heber, and Malchiel.
És Ásér fiai: Jimno, Jisvo, Jisvi és Berio, meg Szerách, az ő nővérük; Berio fiai pedig: Chéver és Málkiél.
18 These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, and these she bore to Jacob, even sixteen souls.
Ezek Zilpó fiai, akit Lábán adott Léának, az ő leányának; és ezeket szülte Jákobnak: tizenhat lélek.
19 The sons of Rachel Jacob’s wife; Joseph, and Benjamin.
És Ráchel, Jákob feleségének fiai: József és Benjámin.
20 And to Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, whom Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bore to him.
És született Józsefnek, Egyiptom országában, akiket szült neki Osznász, Pótifera, Ón papjának leánya: Menásse és Efráim.
21 And the sons of Benjamin were Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.
Benjámin fiai pedig: Belá, Becher, Ásbél, Géro, Náámon. Échi és Rós; Muppim, Chuppim és Ord.
22 These are the sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob: all the souls were fourteen.
Ezek Ráchel fiai, akik születtek Jákobnak, minden lélekszáma: tizennégy.
23 And the sons of Dan; Hushim.
Dán fiai pedig: Chusim.
24 And the sons of Naphtali; Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.
Náftáli fiai pedig: Jáchceél, Gúni, Jécer és Sillém.
25 These are the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to Rachel his daughter, and she bore these to Jacob: all the souls were seven.
Ezek Bihó fiai, akit Lábán adott Ráchelnek, az ő leányának; és ezeket szülte Jákobnak, minden lélekszáma: hét.
26 All the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, who came out of his loins, besides Jacob’s sons’ wives, all the souls were sixty and six;
Mind a lélek, mely jött Jákobbal Egyiptomba az ágyékából származók, Jákob feleségein kívül, minden lélekszáma: hatvanhat.
27 And the sons of Joseph, who were born to him in Egypt, were two souls: all the souls of the house of Jacob, who came into Egypt, were seventy.
József fiai pedig, akik születtek neki Egyiptomban, két lélek; minden lélekszáma Jákob házának, mely lejött Egyiptomba: hetven.
28 And he sent Judah before him to Joseph, to direct his face to Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.
Júdát pedig maga elé küldte Józsefhez, hogy mutasson előtte utat Gósenbe; és elérkeztek Gósen földjére.
29 And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself to him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.
És befogatott József a szekerébe és fölment Izrael, az ő atyja elé Gósenbe; midőn megjelent előtte nyakába borult és sírt nyakán sokáig.
30 And Israel said to Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen thy face, because thou art yet alive.
És mondta Izrael Józsefnek: Immár meghalhatok, miután láttam arcodat, hogy még élsz.
31 And Joseph said to his brethren, and to his father’s house, I will go up, and show Pharaoh, and say to him, My brethren, and my father’s house, who were in the land of Canaan, are come to me;
És mondta József az ő testvéreinek és atyja házának: Fölmegyek, hadd adom tudtára Fáraónak és mondom neki: Testvéreim és atyám háza, akik Kánaán országában voltak, eljöttek hozzám;
32 And the men are shepherds, for their occupation hath been to feed cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.
az emberek pedig juhpásztorok, mert baromtenyésztő emberek voltak, és juhaikat meg marháikat és mindenüket amijük van, elhozták.
33 And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What is your occupation?
És lesz, ha hivat benneteket Fáraó és mondja: mi a foglalkozásotok?
34 That ye shall say, The occupation of thy servants hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians.
Akkor mondjátok: Baromtenyésztő emberek voltak szolgáid ifjúságunktól kezdve egész mostanáig, mi is, atyáink is; azért, hogy lakjatok Gósen földjén; mert Egyiptomnak utálata minden juhpásztor.
