< Galatians 3 >

1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been clearly set forth, crucified among you?
Maw Galati mi mawmaw te, thinglamte tung a ki khai Jesus Christ sia note mai ah a kilangtak in hong kilak zo a, thuman zui ngawl tu in akua in hong bum ziam?
2 This only would I learn from you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Note in thukham na zui na uh tungtawn in Thaa na sang uh ziam, a hibale nazak uh thu na upna uh tungtawn in a hi ziam? hi thu bek note tung pan ka he nuam hi.
3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
Mawmaw lalawm nu ziam? Thaa taw na kipan zo uh a, tu in note in cilesa taw tawpsak tu nu ziam?
4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it is yet in vain.
Hi thu tu dong in a luithathong in a om lai le, na tampi sia a luithathong in thuak na hi uh ziam?
5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he this by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Tua ahikom note tung ah na a seam Thaa in note sung ah nalamdang te a vawtna sia thukham zui na tungtawn a hi ziam, a hibale na zak uh thu upna tungtawn ziam?
6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
Abraham in Pathian um a, tua a upna sia thutang suana in ceptesak hi.
7 Know ye therefore that they who are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
Tua ahikom upna a nei peuma sia Abraham tate a hihi, ci sia note in he ta tun.
8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles through faith, preached before the gospel to Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
Laithiangtho in, upna tungtawn in Gentile mite sia Pathian in thutang suaksak tu hi, ci a lak khol hu in, nangma tungtawn in minam theampo in thupha sang tu hi, ci in Abraham tung ah lungdamna thupha son zo hi, ci hi.
9 So then they who are of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
Tua ahikom upna a nei peuma sia a muantak Abraham taw thupha sang hi.
10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
Banghangziam cile thukham zuina a suang theampo sia hamsiatna nuai ah om hi: banghangziam cile, thukham laibu sung ah a ki at theampo a ban a ban in a zui suak ngawl peuma hamsiatna thuak hi, ci in ki at hi.
11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
Ahihang Pathian mai ah kuama thukham tungtawn in thutang suasak na nga ngawl hi, ci thu thiangtak in kilang hi: banghangziam cile a thutang mihing sia upna tungtawn in nungta tu hi.
12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live by them.
Taciang thukham sia upna taw kisai ngawl hi: ahihang, thukham a zui peuma thukham sung ah nungta tu hi.
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
Christ sia eite atu in hamsiatna thuak a, thukham hamsiatna sung pan in hong tan zo hi: banghangziam cile thing tung ah a ki khai peuma hamsiatna thuak a hihi, ci in ki at hi:
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Taciang Jesus Christ tungtawn in Abraham thupha sia Gentile mite tung ah a thet thei natu le, eite in upna tungtawn in Thaa kamciam i nga thei natu a hihi.
15 Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it is but a man’s covenant, yet if it is confirmed, no man setteth it aside, or addeth to it.
Suapui te awng, mihing ngeina bang in kong son hi; mihing kamciam ahihang, a kipsak sa ahile, kuama in vawkthong ngawl hi, zong belap thua ngawl hi.
16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
Tu in Abraham le a suanlepal te tung ah kamciam te vawt hi, Mi tampi bang in, suanlepal te, ci ngawl hi; ahihang khat bang in, na suan, ci hi, tua thu sia Christ a hihi.
17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before by God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot set it aside, that it should make the promise of no effect.
Hi thu kong son hi, Pathian in Christ sung ah a kipsak kamciam sia kum zali le sawm thum zawkciang zong thukham in vawk thei ngawl hi, tabang in kamciam sia a mannung ngawl suaksak thei ngawl hi.
18 For if the inheritance is by the law, it is no more by promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
Banghangziam cile ngamh sia thukham taw kisai ahile, kamciam taw kisai hong suak hi: ahihang hi ngamh sia Pathian in Abraham tung ah kamciam tungtawn in a piak a hihi.
19 What purpose then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
Tabang ahile banghang in thukham pia ziam? Hi thu sia kamciam a piak Abraham i suan a thet mateng thukham paltan te hu in a ki belap a hihi; taciang hi thu sia palai seam pa i khutsung ah vantungmi te i a piak nasep a hihi.
20 Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.
Tu in palai sia mihing khat atu hi ngawl hi, ahihang Pathian sia khat a hihi.
21 Is the law then against the promises of God? By no means: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
Tabang ahile thukham in Pathian kamciam te langpan a hi ziam? Langpan ngawl hi: banghangziam cile nuntakna a pia thei thukham om hile, thutang suana sia thukham tungtawn vateak in hongpai tu hi.
22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
Ahihang a um peuma sia Jesus Christ upna tungtawn in kamciam piak tu in laithiangtho in mi theampo sia mawna nuai ah khum siat hi.
23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up to the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
Ahihang upna hong thet mateng, hong ki lang pheang tu upna sung ah hong khum a thukham nuai ah hong keam a hihi.
24 Therefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
Tua ahikom in upna tungtawn in thutang suana i nga thei natu in, Christ kung ah hong paipui tu in eite hong keamcing sia thukham a hihi.
25 But after faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
Ahihang tua upna a thet zawkciang in, eite hong keamcing sia i nuai ah i om nawn bua hi.
26 For ye are all children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
Banghangziam cile note theampo sia Christ Jesus upna tungtawn in Pathian tate na hi uh hi.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Banghangziam cile Christ sung ah tuiphumna a sang peuma in Christ sil zo na hi uh hi.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Judah le Greek ci om ngawl, sal le a suakta ci zong om ngawl hi, numei le pa ci zong om ngawl hi: banghangziam cile note theampo Christ Jesus sung ah khat na hi uh hi.
29 And if ye are Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Taciang Christ i neisa na hi uh le, Abraham i suanlepal na hi uh hi, taciang kamciam bang in ngamh lua te na hi uh hi.
