Ezra 2
1 Now these are the children of the province that went up from the captivity, of those who had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away to Babylon, and came again to Jerusalem and Judah, every one to his city;

2 Who came with Zerubbabel: Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:

3 The children of Parosh, two thousand an hundred and seventy and two.
| בני פרעש אלפים מאה שבעים ושנים׃ |
4 The children of Shephatiah, three hundred and seventy and two.
| בני שפטיה שלש מאות שבעים ושנים׃ |
5 The children of Arah, seven hundred and seventy and five.
| בני ארח שבע מאות חמשה ושבעים׃ |
6 The children of Pahathmoab, of the children of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand eight hundred and twelve.
| בני פחת מואב לבני ישוע יואב אלפים שמנה מאות ושנים עשר׃ |
7 The children of Elam, a thousand two hundred and fifty and four.
| בני עילם אלף מאתים חמשים וארבעה׃ |
8 The children of Zattu, nine hundred and forty and five.
| בני זתוא תשע מאות וארבעים וחמשה׃ |
9 The children of Zaccai, seven hundred and sixty.
| בני זכי שבע מאות וששים׃ |
10 The children of Bani, six hundred and forty and two.
| בני בני שש מאות ארבעים ושנים׃ |
11 The children of Bebai, six hundred and twenty and three.
| בני בבי שש מאות עשרים ושלשה׃ |
12 The children of Azgad, a thousand two hundred and twenty and two.
| בני עזגד אלף מאתים עשרים ושנים׃ |
13 The children of Adonikam, six hundred and sixty and six.
| בני אדניקם שש מאות ששים וששה׃ |
14 The children of Bigvai, two thousand fifty and six.
| בני בגוי אלפים חמשים וששה׃ |
15 The children of Adin, four hundred and fifty and four.
| בני עדין ארבע מאות חמשים וארבעה׃ |
16 The children of Ater of Hezekiah, ninety and eight.
| בני אטר ליחזקיה תשעים ושמנה׃ |
17 The children of Bezai, three hundred and twenty and three.
| בני בצי שלש מאות עשרים ושלשה׃ |
18 The children of Jorah, an hundred and twelve.
| בני יורה מאה ושנים עשר׃ |

| בני חשם מאתים עשרים ושלשה׃ |

| בני גבר תשעים וחמשה׃ |

| בני בית לחם מאה עשרים ושלשה׃ |
22 The men of Netophah, fifty and six.
| אנשי נטפה חמשים וששה׃ |
23 The men of Anathoth, an hundred and twenty and eight.
| אנשי ענתות מאה עשרים ושמנה׃ |
24 The children of Azmaveth, forty and two.
| בני עזמות ארבעים ושנים׃ |
25 The children of Kirjatharim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred and forty and three.
| בני קרית ערים כפירה ובארות שבע מאות וארבעים ושלשה׃ |
26 The children of Ramah and Gaba, six hundred and twenty and one.
| בני הרמה וגבע שש מאות עשרים ואחד׃ |
27 The men of Michmas, an hundred and twenty and two.
| אנשי מכמס מאה עשרים ושנים׃ |
28 The men of Bethel and Ai, two hundred and twenty and three.
| אנשי בית אל והעי מאתים עשרים ושלשה׃ |
29 The children of Nebo, fifty and two.
| בני נבו חמשים ושנים׃ |
30 The children of Magbish, an hundred and fifty and six.
| בני מגביש מאה חמשים וששה׃ |
31 The children of the other Elam, a thousand two hundred and fifty and four.
| בני עילם אחר אלף מאתים חמשים וארבעה׃ |
32 The children of Harim, three hundred and twenty.
| בני חרם שלש מאות ועשרים׃ |
33 The children of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred and twenty and five.
| בני לד חדיד ואונו שבע מאות עשרים וחמשה׃ |

35 The children of Senaah, three thousand six hundred and thirty.
| בני סנאה שלשת אלפים ושש מאות ושלשים׃ |
36 The priests: the children of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred and seventy and three.
| הכהנים בני ידעיה לבית ישוע תשע מאות שבעים ושלשה׃ |
37 The children of Immer, a thousand and fifty and two.
| בני אמר אלף חמשים ושנים׃ |
38 The children of Pashur, a thousand two hundred and forty and seven.
| בני פשחור אלף מאתים ארבעים ושבעה׃ |
39 The children of Harim, a thousand and seventeen.
| בני חרם אלף ושבעה עשר׃ |
40 The Levites: the children of Jeshua and Kadmiel, of the children of Hodaviah, seventy and four.
| הלוים בני ישוע וקדמיאל לבני הודויה שבעים וארבעה׃ |
41 The singers: the children of Asaph, an hundred and twenty and eight.
| המשררים בני אסף מאה עשרים ושמנה׃ |
42 The children of the porters: the children of Shallum, the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of Akkub, the children of Hatita, the children of Shobai, in all an hundred and thirty and nine.
| בני השערים בני שלום בני אטר בני טלמון בני עקוב בני חטיטא בני שבי הכל מאה שלשים ותשעה׃ |
43 The Nethinims: the children of Ziha, the children of Hasupha, the children of Tabbaoth,
| הנתינים בני ציחא בני חשופא בני טבעות׃ |
44 The children of Keros, the children of Siaha, the children of Padon,
| בני קרס בני סיעהא בני פדון׃ |
45 The children of Lebanah, the children of Hagabah, the children of Akkub,
| בני לבנה בני חגבה בני עקוב׃ |
46 The children of Hagab, the children of Shalmai, the children of Hanan,
| בני חגב בני שמלי בני חנן׃ |
47 The children of Giddel, the children of Gahar, the children of Reaiah,
| בני גדל בני גחר בני ראיה׃ |
48 The children of Rezin, the children of Nekoda, the children of Gazzam,
| בני רצין בני נקודא בני גזם׃ |
49 The children of Uzza, the children of Paseah, the children of Besai,
| בני עזא בני פסח בני בסי׃ |
50 The children of Asnah, the children of Mehunim, the children of Nephusim,
| בני אסנה בני מעונים בני נפיסים׃ |
51 The children of Bakbuk, the children of Hakupha, the children of Harhur,
| בני בקבוק בני חקופא בני חרחור׃ |
52 The children of Bazluth, the children of Mehida, the children of Harsha,
| בני בצלות בני מחידא בני חרשא׃ |
53 The children of Barkos, the children of Sisera, the children of Thamah,
| בני ברקוס בני סיסרא בני תמח׃ |
54 The children of Neziah, the children of Hatipha.
| בני נציח בני חטיפא׃ |
55 The children of Solomon’s servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Peruda,
| בני עבדי שלמה בני סטי בני הספרת בני פרודא׃ |
56 The children of Jaalah, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,
| בני יעלה בני דרקון בני גדל׃ |
57 The children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth of Zebaim, the children of Ami.
| בני שפטיה בני חטיל בני פכרת הצביים בני אמי׃ |
58 All the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon’s servants, were three hundred and ninety and two.
| כל הנתינים ובני עבדי שלמה שלש מאות תשעים ושנים׃ |
59 And these were they who went up from Telmelah, Telharsa, Cherub, Addan, and Immer: but they could not show their father’s house, and their seed, whether they were of Israel:
| ואלה העלים מתל מלח תל חרשא כרוב אדן אמר ולא יכלו להגיד בית אבותם וזרעם אם מישראל הם׃ |
60 The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred and fifty and two.
| בני דליה בני טוביה בני נקודא שש מאות חמשים ושנים׃ |
61 And of the children of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai; who took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name:
| ומבני הכהנים בני חביה בני הקוץ בני ברזלי אשר לקח מבנות ברזלי הגלעדי אשה ויקרא על שמם׃ |
62 These sought their family record among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but they were not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.
| אלה בקשו כתבם המתיחשים ולא נמצאו ויגאלו מן הכהנה׃ |
63 And the Tirshatha said to them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and with Thummim.
| ויאמר התרשתא להם אשר לא יאכלו מקדש הקדשים עד עמד כהן לאורים ולתמים׃ |
64 The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and sixty,
| כל הקהל כאחד ארבע רבוא אלפים שלש מאות ששים׃ |
65 Besides their male and female servants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred and thirty and seven: and there were among them two hundred men and women singers.
| מלבד עבדיהם ואמהתיהם אלה שבעת אלפים שלש מאות שלשים ושבעה ולהם משררים ומשררות מאתים׃ |
66 Their horses were seven hundred and thirty and six; their mules, two hundred and forty and five;
| סוסיהם שבע מאות שלשים וששה פרדיהם מאתים ארבעים וחמשה׃ |
67 Their camels, four hundred and thirty and five; their donkeys, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
| גמליהם ארבע מאות שלשים וחמשה חמרים ששת אלפים שבע מאות ועשרים׃ |
68 And some of the heads of the fathers’ houses, when they came to the house of the LORD which is at Jerusalem, offered freely for the house of God to set it up in its place:
| ומראשי האבות בבואם לבית יהוה אשר בירושלם התנדבו לבית האלהים להעמידו על מכונו׃ |
69 They gave after their ability into the treasury of the work sixty and one thousand drams of gold, and five thousand pounds of silver, and one hundred priests’ garments.
| ככחם נתנו לאוצר המלאכה זהב דרכמונים שש רבאות ואלף וכסף מנים חמשת אלפים וכתנת כהנים מאה׃ |
70 So the priests, and the Levites, and some of the people, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims, dwelt in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
| וישבו הכהנים והלוים ומן העם והמשררים והשוערים והנתינים בעריהם וכל ישראל בעריהם׃ |
