Ezekiel 24
1 Again in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
Y fue palabra de Jehová a mí en el noveno año, en el mes décimo, a los diez del mes, diciendo:
2 Son of man, write for thee the name of the day, even of this same day: the king of Babylon set himself against Jerusalem this same day.
Hijo del hombre, escríbete el nombre de este día, de este mismo día; porque el rey de Babilonia se fortificó sobre Jerusalem este mismo día.
3 And utter a parable to the rebellious house, and say to them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Set on a pot, set it on, and also pour water into it:
Y habla a la casa de rebelión por parábola, y díles: Así dijo el Señor Jehová: Pon una olla: pónla, y echa también en ella agua.
4 Gather its pieces into it, even every good piece, the thigh, and the shoulder; fill it with the choice bones.
Junta sus piezas de carne en ella, todas buenas piezas, pierna y espalda: hínchela de huesos escogidos.
5 Take the choice of the flock, and burn also the bones under it, and make it boil well, and let them boil its bones in it.
Toma una oveja escogida, y también enciende los huesos debajo de ella: haz que hierva sus hervores, cocéd también sus huesos dentro de ella.
6 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum is in it, and whose scum is not gone out of it! bring it out piece by piece; let no lot fall upon it.
Por tanto así dijo el Señor Jehová: ¡Ay de la ciudad de sangres, de la olla no espumada, y que su espuma no salió de ella! Por sus piezas, por sus piezas la saca: no caiga sobre ella suerte.
7 For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it upon the top of a rock; she poured it not upon the ground, to cover it with dust;
Porque su sangre fue en medio de ella: sobre la cima de la piedra la puso: no la derramó sobre la tierra, para que fuese cubierta con polvo.
8 That it might cause fury to come up to take vengeance; I have set her blood upon the top of a rock, that it should not be covered.
Para hacer subir la ira, para hacer venganza, yo puse su sangre sobre el lugar alto de la piedra, porque no sea cubierta.
9 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city! I will even make the pile for fire great.
Por tanto así dijo el Señor Jehová: ¡Ay de la ciudad de sangres! También yo pues haré gran hoguera:
10 Heap on wood, kindle the fire, consume the flesh, and spice it well, and let the bones be burned.
Multiplicando la leña, encendiendo el fuego, consumiendo la carne, y haciendo la salsa; y los huesos serán quemados.
11 Then set it empty upon its coals, that the brass of it may be hot, and may burn, and that the filthiness of it may be melted in it, that the scum of it may be consumed.
Y asentándola vacía sobre sus brasas, para que se caliente, y se queme su hondón, y se funda en ella su suciedad, y se consuma su espuma.
12 She hath wearied herself with lies, and her great scum went not forth out of her: her scum shall be in the fire.
En fraudes se cansó, ni nunca salió de ella su mucha espuma: en fuego será consumida su espuma.
13 In thy filthiness is lewdness: because I have purged thee, and thou wast not purged, thou shalt not be purged from thy filthiness any more, till I have caused my fury to rest upon thee.
En tu suciedad mala fenecerás; porque te limpié, y no te limpiaste tú de tu suciedad: nunca más te limpiarás, hasta que yo haga descansar mi ira sobre ti.
14 I the LORD have spoken it: it shall come to pass, and I will do it; I will not go back, neither will I spare, neither will I repent; according to thy ways, and according to thy doings, shall they judge thee, saith the Lord GOD.
Yo Jehová hablé: vino, e hice: no me tornaré atrás, ni habré misericordia, ni me arrepentiré: según tus caminos y tus obras te juzgarán, dijo el Señor Jehová.
15 Also the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
Y fue palabra de Jehová a mí, diciendo:
16 Son of man, behold, I take away from thee the desire of thy eyes with a stroke: yet neither shalt thou mourn nor weep, neither shall thy tears run down.
Hijo del hombre, he aquí que yo te quito por muerte el deseo de tus ojos: no endeches, ni llores, ni te venga lágrima.
17 Forbear to cry, make no mourning for the dead, bind thy turban upon thee, and put on thy shoes upon thy feet, and cover not thy lips, and eat not the bread of men.
Repósate de gemir, ni hagas luto de mortuorios: ata tu bonete sobre ti, y pon tus zapatos en tus pies; y no te cubras con rebozo, ni comas pan de hombres.
18 So I spoke to the people in the morning: and at evening my wife died; and I did in the morning as I was commanded.
Y hablé al pueblo por la mañana, y a la tarde murió mi mujer; y a la mañana hice como me fue mandado.
19 And the people said to me, Wilt thou not tell us what these things are to us, that thou doest so?
Y el pueblo me dijo: ¿No nos enseñarás qué nos significan estas cosas, que tú haces?
20 Then I answered them, The word of the LORD came to me, saying,
Y yo les dije: Palabra de Jehová fue a mí, diciendo:
21 Speak to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the excellency of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pitieth; and your sons and your daughters whom ye have left shall fall by the sword.
Di a la casa de Israel: Así dijo el Señor Dios: He aquí que yo contamino mi santuario, la soberbia de vuestra fortaleza, el deseo de vuestros ojos, y el regalo de vuestra alma: vuestros hijos, y vuestras hijas que dejasteis, caerán a cuchillo.
22 And ye shall do as I have done: ye shall not cover your lips, nor eat the bread of men.
Y haréis de la manera que yo hice: no os cubriréis con rebozo, ni comeréis pan de hombres.
23 And your turbans shall be upon your heads, and your shoes upon your feet: ye shall not mourn nor weep; but ye shall pine away for your iniquities, and mourn one toward another.
Y vuestros bonetes estarán sobre vuestras cabezas, y vuestros zapatos en vuestros pies: no endecharéis ni lloraréis: mas consumiros heis a causa de vuestras maldades, y gemiréis unos con otros.
24 Thus Ezekiel is to you a sign: according to all that he hath done shall ye do: and when this cometh, ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
Y seros ha Ezequiel en portento: según todas las cosas que él hizo, haréis: en viniendo esto, entonces sabréis que yo soy el Señor Jehová.
25 Also, thou son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that on which they set their minds, their sons and their daughters,
Y tú, hijo del hombre, el día que yo quitaré de ellos su fortaleza, el gozo de su gloria, el deseo de sus ojos, y el cuidado de sus almas, sus hijos y sus hijas;
26 That he that escapeth in that day shall come to thee, to cause thee to hear it with thy ears?
Ese día vendrá a ti un escapado, para traer las nuevas.
27 In that day shall thy mouth be opened to him who hath escaped, and thou shalt speak, and be no more dumb: and thou shalt be a sign to them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
En aquel día se abrirá tu boca con el escapado; y hablarás, y no estarás más mudo; y serles has en portento; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.
