Esther 10

1 And the king Ahasuerus laid a tribute upon the land, and upon the isles of the sea.

Och Konung Ahasveros lade en skatt uppå landet, och uppå öarna i hafvet.

2 And all the acts of his power and of his might, and the declaration of the greatness of Mordecai, to which the king advanced him, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?

Men allt det under hans våld och magt skedde, och om den stora härlighet, som Konungen gaf Mardechai, si, det är skrifvet uti de Konungars Chrönico i Meden och Persien.

3 For Mordecai the Jew was next to king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted by the multitude of his brethren, seeking the welfare of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.

Ty Mardechai den Juden var den andre näst Konungenom Ahasveros, och stor ibland Judarna, och täck för alla sina bröder; den der sökte det godt var för sitt folk, och talade det bästa för allo sino säd.
