Deuteronomy 23
1 He that is wounded, or cut off in his secrets, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.
१जो भग्नांड किंवा ज्याचे लिंग छेदन झाले आहे त्यास परमेश्वराच्या सभेत सहभागी होण्यास मनाई आहे.
2 A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.
२जारजाने परमेश्वराच्या सभेत सहभागी होऊ नये. त्याच्या दहाव्या पिढीपर्यंत ही मनाई आहे.
3 An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever:
३अम्मोनी आणि मवाबी यांनी परमेश्वराच्या मेळ्यास येऊ नये व त्यांच्या पुढच्या दहा पिढ्यांनीही इस्राएलांबरोबर सभेत सामील होऊ नये.
4 Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth from Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.
४कारण तुमच्या मिसरपासूनच्या प्रवासात तुम्हास अन्नपाणी देण्यास त्यांनी नकार दिला होता. तसेच अराम नईराईम येथील पथोर नगराचा बौराचा मुलगा बलाम ह्याला पैसे देऊन त्यांनी त्यास तुम्हास शाप द्यायला लावले.
5 Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken to Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing to thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee.
५तुमचा देव परमेश्वर ह्याने मात्र बलामचे ऐकले नाही. उलट त्या शापाचे रुपांतर आशीर्वादात केले. कारण तुमचा देव परमेश्वर याची तुमच्यावर प्रीती होती.
6 Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for ever.
६तुम्ही जिवंत असेपर्यंत त्यांची शांती व भरभराट करायला बघू नका.
7 Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land.
७अदोमी लोकांचा कधीही तिरस्कार करु नका. कारण ते तुमचे आप्त आहेत. तसेच मिसरी लोकांचा द्वेष करु नका. कारण त्यांच्या देशात तुम्ही उपरे होतात.
8 The children that are begotten by them shall enter into the congregation of the LORD in their third generation.
८त्यांच्या तिसऱ्या पिढीपासूनच्या लोकांस इस्राएलांबरोबर परमेश्वराच्या सभेत सहभागी व्हायला हरकत नाही.
9 When the host goeth forth against thy enemies, then keep thee from every wicked thing.
९युद्धावर छावणीत असताना जे जे म्हणून अशुद्धकारक त्यापासून दूर राहा.
10 If there shall be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chanceth to him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp:
१०एखाद्याला रात्री अशुद्धता प्राप्त झाल्यास त्याने छावणीच्या बाहेर जावे. छावणीत राहू नये त्याने छावणीच्या आत येवू नये.
11 But it shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall wash himself with water: and when the sun is down, he shall come into the camp again.
११मग संध्याकाळ जवळ आली म्हणजे त्याने स्नान करावे. आणि सूर्यास्त झाल्यावरच परत छावणीत यावे.
12 Thou shalt have a place also outside the camp, where thou shalt go forth abroad:
१२प्रातर्विधींसाठी छावणीच्या बाहेर एक जागा असावी.
13 And thou shalt have a shovel among thy weapons; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig with it, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee:
१३आपल्या शस्त्रांबरोबरच खणण्यासाठी म्हणून एक कुदळ असावी. प्रातर्विधीस बसण्यापूर्वी एक खड्डा खणावा व विधी आटोपल्यावर त्यावर माती पसरुन तो झाकून टाकावा.
14 For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thy enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he may see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.
१४कारण तुमच्या संरक्षणासाठी आणि तुमच्याद्वारे शत्रूचा पराभव करण्यासाठी तुमचा देव परमेश्वर तुमच्यासोबतच राहणार आहे. तेव्हा छावणी पवित्र असावी. नाहीतर काही किळसवाण्या गोष्टी पाहून तो तुम्हास सोडून जायचा.
15 Thou shalt not deliver to his master the servant who hath escaped from his master to thee:
१५एखादा गुलाम कधी त्याच्या मालकाकडून पळून जाऊन तुमच्याकडे आला तर त्यास मालकाच्या स्वाधीन करु नका.
16 He shall dwell with thee, even among you, in that place which he shall choose in one of thy gates, where it pleaseth him best: thou shalt not oppress him.
१६त्यास आपल्या निवडीनुसार त्यास तुमच्या वेशीमध्ये हव्या त्या गावात राहू द्या. त्यास जाच करु नका.
17 There shall be no harlot of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.
१७इस्राएलाच्या स्त्रीयांपैकी कोणीही वेश्या होऊ नये आणि इस्राएली पुत्रापैकी कोणासही पुमैथुनास वाहू नये.
18 Thou shalt not bring the hire of an harlot, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination to the LORD thy God.
१८पुरुष किंवा स्त्रीवेश्येच्या कमाईचा पैसा तुमचा देव परमेश्वर ह्याच्या पवित्र निवासस्थानी, नवस फेडण्याच्या कामासाठी वापरला जाणार नाही याची दक्षता घ्या. कारण तुमचा देव परमेश्वरास अशा व्यक्तीचा विट आहे.
19 Thou shalt not lend upon interest to thy brother; interest of money, interest of food, interest of any thing that is lent upon interest:
१९आपल्या इस्राएल बांधवांपैकी कोणाला काही उसने दिल्यास त्यावर व्याज लावू नका. पैसा, अन्नधान्य किंवा कोणत्याही व्याज लावता येण्यासारख्या गोष्टीवर व्याज आकारू नका.
20 To a stranger thou mayest lend upon interest; but to thy brother thou shalt not lend upon interest: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all that thou settest thy hand to in the land where thou goest to possess it.
२०परक्याकडून व्याज घेतले तरी चालेल. पण आपल्याच बांधवाला व्याज लावू नका. हे नियम पाळलेत तर, ज्या देशात तुम्ही राहणार आहात तेथे हाती घेतलेल्या प्रत्येक कार्यात तुम्हास तुमचा देव परमेश्वर ह्याचा आशीर्वाद मिळेल.
21 When thou shalt vow a vow to the LORD thy God, thou shalt not defer to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.
२१तुमचा देव परमेश्वर ह्याला नवस बोललात तर तो फेडायला उशीर करु नका. कारण तुमचा देव परमेश्वर तुम्हास त्याचा जाब विचारील. नवस फेडला नाहीत तर पाप लागेल.
22 But if thou shalt forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.
२२पण नवस बोललाच नाहीत तर पाप लागणार नाही.
23 That which is uttered by thy lips thou shalt keep and perform; even a freewill offering, according as thou hast vowed to the LORD thy God, which thou hast promised with thy mouth.
२३जे वचन तुम्ही देता ते पाळत जा. तुमचा देव परमेश्वर तुम्हास काही नवस बोला असे म्हणत नाही. तुम्ही स्वखुशीने तो बोलता तेव्हा त्याप्रमाणे वागा.
24 When thou comest into thy neighbour’s vineyard, then thou mayest satisfy thy appetite with grapes at thy own pleasure; but thou shalt not put any in thy vessel.
२४दुसऱ्याच्या द्राक्षमळ्यातून जात असताना वाटल्यास हवी तितकी द्राक्षे खा पण टोपलीत घालून बरोबर घेऊन जाऊ नका.
25 When thou comest into the standing grain of thy neighbour, then thou mayest pluck the heads with thy hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle to thy neighbour’s standing grain.
२५आपल्या शेजाऱ्याच्या शेतातून जाताना धान्याची कणसे खुडून खाऊ शकता पण आपल्या शेजाऱ्याच्या उभ्या पिकास विळ्याने कापून नेऊ नका.
