Acts 2
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
१नंतर पेन्टेकॉस्ट म्हणजे पन्नासावा दिवस आला तेव्हा ते सर्व एकत्र जमले असताना.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
२अकस्मात मोठ्या वाऱ्याच्या सुसाट्यासारखा आकाशातून नाद झाला, व ज्या घरात ते वसले होते ते सर्व त्याने भरले.
3 And there appeared to them cloven tongues as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
३आणि वेगवेगळ्या होत असलेल्या अग्नीच्या जीभांसारख्या जीभा त्यांना दिसल्या, व प्रत्येकावर त्या एकएक अशा बसल्या.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
४तेव्हा ते सर्वजण पवित्र आत्म्याने परिपूर्ण झाले आणि आत्म्याने जसजशी त्यांना वाचा दिली, तसतसे ते निरनिराळ्या भाषांतून बोलू लागले.
5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven.
५त्यावेळेस आकाशाखालच्या प्रत्येक राष्ट्रातील भक्तिमान यहूदी यरूशलेम शहरात राहत होते.
6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because every man heard them speak in his own language.
६तो नाद झाल्यावर लोकसमुदाय एकत्र होऊन गोंधळून गेला, कारण प्रत्येकाने त्यांना आपआपल्या भाषेत बोलताना ऐकले.
7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these who speak Galilaeans?
७ते सर्व आश्चर्याने थक्क होऊन; म्हणाले, “पाहा, हे बोलणारे सर्व गालील प्रांतातील ना?
8 And how do we hear every man in our own language, in which we were born?
८तर आपण प्रत्येकजण आपआपली जन्मभाषा ऐकतो हे कसे?
9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
९पार्थी, मेदी, एलामी, मेसोपटेम्या, यहूदीया, कप्पदुकिया, पंत, आशिया,
10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
१०फ्रुगिया, पंफुलिया, मिसर व कुरणेच्या जवळचा लिबुवा देश ह्यात राहणारे, यहूदी व यहूदीयमतानूसारी असे रोमन प्रवासी,
11 Cretes and Arabians, we hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
११क्रेतीय, अरब, असे आपण त्यांना आपआपल्या भाषांत देवाची महत्कृत्ये सांगताना ऐकतो.”
12 And they were all amazed, and were perplexed, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
१२तेव्हा ते सर्व विस्मित होऊन; व गोंधळून जाऊन एकमेकांस म्हणाले, “हे काय असेल?”
13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.
१३परंतु दुसरे कित्येक चेष्टा करीत म्हणाले, “हे नवीन द्राक्षरसाने मस्त झाले आहेत.”
14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said to them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known to you, and hearken to my words:
१४तेव्हा पेत्र अकरा प्रेषितांबरोबर उभा राहून, त्यांना मोठ्याने म्हणाला, अहो यहूदी लोकांनो व यरूशलेम शहरातील रहिवाश्यांनो, हे लक्षात आणा व माझे बोलणे ऐकून घ्या.
15 For these are not drunk, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
१५तुम्हास वाटते हे मस्त झाले आहेत, पण असे नाही कारण सकाळचे नऊ वाजले आहेत.
16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
१६परंतु योएल संदेष्ट्याने जे सांगितले होते ते हे आहे:
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
१७देव म्हणतो, “शेवटच्या दिवसात असे होईल, मी मनुष्यमात्रावर आपल्या आत्म्याचा वर्षाव करीन, तेव्हा तुमचे पुत्र व तुमच्या कन्या संदेश देतील. तुमच्या तरूणांस दृष्टांत होतील व तुमच्या वृद्धास स्वप्ने पडतील.
18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will, in those, days pour out of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
१८आणखी त्या दिवसात मी आपल्या दासांवर व आपल्या दासींवर आपल्या आत्म्याचा वर्षाव करीन, म्हणजे ते संदेश देतील.
19 And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs on the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
१९आणि वर आकाशात अद्भूते व खाली पृथ्वीवर चिन्हे, म्हणजे रक्त, अग्नी व धूम्ररूप वाफ अशी मी दाखवीन.
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
२०परमेश्वराचा महान व प्रसिद्ध दिवस येण्यापूर्वी सूर्य अंधकारमय व चंद्र रक्तमय होईल.
21 And it shall come to pass, that whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
२१तेव्हा असे होईल की जो कोणी परमेश्वराच्या नावाने त्याचा धावा करील तो तरेल.”
22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved by God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
२२“अहो इस्राएल लोकांनो, या गोष्टी ऐका: नासोरी येशूच्या द्वारे देवाने जी महत्कृत्ये, अद्भूते व चिन्हे तुम्हास दाखविली त्यावरून देवाने तुम्हाकरिता मान्यता दिलेला असा तो मनुष्य होता, याची तुम्हास माहिती आहे.
23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
२३तो देवाच्या ठाम संकल्पानुसार व पूर्वज्ञानानुसार तुमच्या स्वाधीन झाल्यावर, तुम्ही त्यास धरून अधर्म्यांच्या हातांनी वधस्तंभावर खिळून मारले;
24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be held by it.
२४त्यास देवाने मरणाच्या वेदनांपासून सोडवून उठवले, कारण त्यास मरणाच्या स्वाधीन राहणे अशक्य होते.
25 For David speaketh concerning him, I saw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
२५दावीद त्याच्याविषयी असे म्हणतो, ‘मी परमेश्वरास आपणापुढे नित्य पाहिले आहे; मी ढळू नये म्हणून तो माझ्या उजवीकडे आहे.
26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
२६म्हणून माझे हृदय आनंदित व माझी जीभ उल्लसित झालीच आणखी माझा देह ही आशेवर राहील.
27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou allow thy Holy One to see corruption. (Hadēs g86)
२७कारण तू माझा जीव मृतलोकात राहू देणार नाहीस, व आपल्या पवित्र पुरुषाला कुजण्याचा अनुभव येऊ देणार नाहीस. (Hadēs g86)
28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
२८जीवनाचे मार्ग तू मला कळविले आहेत; ते आपल्या समक्षतेने मला हर्षभरीत करशील.’”
29 Men, brethren, let me freely speak to you concerning the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us to this day.
२९“बंधुजनहो, कुलाधिपति दावीद: ह्याच्याविषयी मी तुम्हाबरोबर प्रशस्तपणे बोलतो तो मरण पावला, पुरला गेला व त्याची कबर आजपर्यंत आपल्यामध्ये आहे.
30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn to him with an oath, that from the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
३०तो संदेष्टा होता, आणि त्यास ठाऊक होते की देवाने त्यास अभिवचन दिले की तुझ्या संतानातील एकाला तुझ्या राजासनावर बसवीन.
31 He seeing this before spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither did his flesh see corruption. (Hadēs g86)
३१ह्याचे पूर्वज्ञान असल्यामुळे तो ख्रिस्ताच्या: पुनरुत्थानाविषयी असे बोलला की, त्यास मृतलोकात सोडून दिले नाही, व त्याच्या देहाला कुजण्याचा अनुभव आला नाही. (Hadēs g86)
32 This Jesus hath God raised up, of which we all are witnesses.
३२त्या येशूला देवाने उठवले, ह्याविषयी आम्ही सर्व साक्षी आहोत.
33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
३३म्हणून तो देवाच्या उजव्या हाताकडे बसविलेला आहे त्यास पवित्र आत्म्याविषयीचे वचन पित्यापासून प्राप्त झाले आहे, आणि तुम्ही जे पाहता व ऐकता त्याचा त्याने वर्षाव केला आहे.
34 For David did not ascend into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
३४कारण दावीद राजा स्वर्गास चढून गेला नाही, पण तो स्वतः म्हणतो, ‘परमेश्वराने माझ्या प्रभूला सांगितले की,
35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
३५मी तुझ्या शत्रूचे तुझे पादासन करेपर्यंत तू माझ्या उजवीकडे बसून राहा.’”
36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
३६“म्हणून, इस्राएलाच्या सर्व घराण्याने हे निश्चयपूर्वक समजून घ्यावे की, ज्या येशूला तुम्ही वधस्तंभावर खिळून मारले त्यास देवाने प्रभू व ख्रिस्त असे करून ठेवले आहे.”
37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said to Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men, brethren, what shall we do?
३७हे ऐकून त्यांच्या अंतःकरणास चुटपुट लागली आणि ते पेत्र व इतर प्रेषित ह्यांना म्हणाले, “बंधुजनहो, आम्ही काय करावे?”
38 Then Peter said to them, Repent ye, and each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
३८पेत्र त्यांना म्हणाला, “पश्चात्ताप करा आणि तुमच्या पापांची क्षमा व्हावी, म्हणून तुम्ही प्रत्येकजण येशू ख्रिस्ताच्या नावाने बाप्तिस्मा घ्या, म्हणजे तुम्हास पवित्र आत्म्याचे दान प्राप्त होईल.
39 For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
३९कारण हे वचन तुम्हास तुमच्या मुलाबाळांना व जे दूर आहेत, त्या सर्वांना म्हणजे जितक्यांना परमेश्वर आपला देव स्वतःकडे बोलावील तितक्यांना दिले आहे.”
40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this perverse generation.
४०आणखी त्याने दुसऱ्या पुष्कळ गोष्टी सांगून त्यास साक्ष दिली व बोध करून; म्हटले, “या कुटिल पिढीपासून तुम्ही आपला बचाव करून घ्या.”
41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added to them about three thousand souls.
४१तेव्हा ज्यांनी त्याच्या संदेशाचा स्वीकार केला त्यांचा बाप्तिस्मा झाला, आणि त्यादिवशी त्यांच्यांत सुमारे तीन हजार मनुष्यांची भर पडली.
42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
४२ते प्रेषितांच्या शिक्षणात आणि सहवासात, भाकर मोडण्यांत व प्रार्थना करण्यांत तत्पर असत.
43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
४३तेव्हा प्रत्येक मनुष्यास भय वाटले, आणि प्रेषितांच्या हातून पुष्कळ अद्भूत कृत्ये व चिन्हे घडत होती.
44 And all that believed were together, and had all things in common;
४४तेव्हा विश्वास ठेवणारे सर्व एकत्र होते आणि त्यांचे सर्वकाही सामाईक होते,
45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
४५ते आपआपली जमीन व मालमत्ता विकून जसजशी प्रत्येकाला गरज लागत असे, तसतसे सर्वांना वांटून देत असत.
46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, ate their food with gladness and singleness of heart,
४६ते दररोज एकचित्ताने व तत्परतेने परमेश्वराच्या भवनात जमत असत, घरोघरी भाकर मोडीत असत आणि देवाची स्तुती करीत हर्षाने व सालस मनाने जेवत;
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
४७सर्व लोक त्यांना प्रसन्न असत आणि प्रभू तारण प्राप्त होत, असलेल्या मनुष्यांची दररोज मंडळीत भर घालीत असे.
