< 2 Timothy 2 >

1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
Ka ca, nang teh Khrih Jisuh thung kaawm e lungmanae lahoi kacaklah awm loe.
2 And the things that thou hast heard from me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
Kapanuekkhaikung moikapap ao e patetlah kai koe na thai tangcoung e naw hah, yuemkamcu niteh alouke tami bout ka cangkhai thai hane naw koe patuen poe loe.
3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
Jisuh Khrih e ransa kahawi lah kai hoi reithai khang van loe.
4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
Ransa thaw ka tawk ni a bawipa e lawk a tarawi e patetlah talai koe lah na lung pen hanh.
5 And if a man also striveth for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he striveth lawfully.
Yawng kâtânae dawk ka yawng e ni a phunglam patetlah yawng hoehpawiteh, bawilukhung hmawt mahoeh.
6 The farmer that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.
Law ka sak nihai hmaloe a patang torei doeh a tawk na phu a ca van.
7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.
Ka dei e lawknaw pueng Bawipa ni panuenae na poe e hoi kahawicalah pakhingpalang loe.
8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
Devit catoun duenae koehoi kathaw e Jisuh Khrih kong heh pahnim awh hanh.
9 In which I suffer trouble, as an evildoer, even to bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
Kamthang kahawi kecu dawk tamikapo patetlah na hmu awh, na man awh teh na katek awh. Hateiteh Cathut lawk teh katek thai awh hoeh.
10 Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. (aiōnios g166)
Hatdawkvah rawi lah kaawm e naw teh Khrih Jisuh thung kaawm e rungngangnae hah yungyoe bawilennae hoi cungtalah a hmu thai awh nahanelah kai ni ahnimouh hanelah bangpueng ka khang. (aiōnios g166)
11 It is a faithful saying: For if we are dead with him, we shall also live with him:
Hetteh yuemkamcu e lawk doeh, ama hoi dout awh pawiteh ama hoi rei hring awh han.
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
Ama hoi panguep awh pawiteh ama hoi cungtalah rei uk awh han. Na pahnawt pawiteh na pahnawt awh van han.
13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
Maimouh ni yuem awh hoeh nakunghai Bawipa teh yuemkamcu dawkvah, amahoima kâpahnawt thai hoeh.
14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they contend not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
Bawipa hmalah cungkeihoehe kâoun rumram e naw hah kâhruetcuetnae poe haw. Kâounnae ni hnokahawi thokhai hoeh, kâraphoenae dueng doeh a thokhai.
15 Study to show thyself approved to God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Nang teh Cathut hmalah yuemkamcu e tami lah na o teh lawkkatang hah kahawicalah kapek thai e, a taran kahawi e thaw katawkkung buet touh lah na kâhmoun thai nahan panki loe.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase to more ungodliness.
Cathutlaipa e pathunae lawknaw hah roun loe.
17 And their word will eat as doth a gangrene: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
Cangkhai payonnae teh a hmâ hoe kalensakkung lah ao. Himenaias hoi Philetus teh cangkhai payon dawk a kambawng roi.
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
Ahnimanaw ni lawkkatang lamthung a phen awh teh, kadout tangcoungnaw yo a thaw awh toe telah a dei awh dawkvah, tami tangawn e yuemnae a payon sak awh.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth firm, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
Hateiteh, Bawipa ni amae taminaw hah a panue. Bawipa min kampangkhai e taminaw teh hno kahawihoehe roun han tie hoi tacikkin lah kaawm e Cathut e im du teh a cak.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
Kalen e im dawk sui, ngun, thing, talai hoi sak e aphunphun ao teh bari e hno hoi barihoehe hno hai ao.
21 If a man therefore will cleanse himself from these, he shall be a vessel to honour, sanctified, and fit for the master’s use, and prepared to every good work.
Hatdawkvah, ka dei tangcoung e patetlah kahawihoehe pahnawt vaiteh, barinae, kathoung niteh imkung ni hno hane kawi lah o han a ngai.
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Nang teh nawsainaw ni raduek e roun nateh, lannae, yuemnae, roumnae, lungpatawnae naw hah kacaklah poe kuen loe.
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they produce quarrels.
Pathunae lawk kâpaceinae niteh kâyuekâounnae doeh a tâcokhai tie panuek nateh roun loe.
24 And the servant of the Lord must not quarrel; but be gentle to all men, apt to teach, patient,
Bawipa e a san teh ayâ hoi lawk pungnae tawn mahoeh, alouknaw koe pahrennae ka tawn e hoi, Lung kasawe tami lah ao han.
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose him; if God perhaps will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
Ama ka tarannaw koe lawkkanem hoi cangkhai a ngai. Lawkkatang a dâw nahanelah Cathut ni lung kâthungnae a poe hai a poe yawkaw han doeh.
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
Hahoi, kahraimathout ni a ngainae patetlah a man e taminaw ni a kâpanue vaiteh, hote mannae dawk hoi a hlout hai a hlout awh han doeh.
