1 Samuel 6
1 And the ark of the LORD was in the country of the Philistines seven months.
| و تابوت خداوند در ولایت فلسطینیان هفت ماه ماند. | ۱ |
2 And the Philistines called for the priests and the diviners, saying, What shall we do to the ark of the LORD? tell us how we shall send it to its place.
| و فلسطینیان، کاهنان وفالگیران خود را خوانده، گفتند: «با تابوت خداوند چه کنیم؟ ما را اعلام نمایید که آن را به‌جایش با چه چیز بفرستیم.» | ۲ |
3 And they said, If ye send away the ark of the God of Israel, send it not empty; but by all means return him a trespass offering: then ye shall be healed, and it shall be known to you why his hand is not removed from you.
| گفتند: «اگر تابوت خدای اسرائیل را بفرستید آن را خالی مفرستید، بلکه قربانی جرم البته برای او بفرستید، آنگاه شفاخواهید یافت، و بر شما معلوم خواهد شد که ازچه سبب دست او از شما برداشته نشده است.» | ۳ |
4 Then said they, What shall be the trespass offering which we shall return to him? They answered, Five golden haemorrhoids, and five golden mice, according to the number of the lords of the Philistines: for one plague was on you all, and on your lords.
| ایشان گفتند: «چه قربانی جرم برای اوبفرستیم؟» | ۴ |
5 Therefore ye shall make images of your haemorrhoids, and images of your mice that mar the land; and ye shall give glory to the God of Israel: perhaps he will lighten his hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land.
| پس تماثیل خراجهای خود و تماثیل موشهای خود را که زمین را خراب می‌کنند بسازید، وخدای اسرائیل را جلال دهید که شاید دست خود را از شما و از خدایان شما و از زمین شمابردارد. | ۵ |
6 Why then do ye harden your hearts, as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? when he had wrought wonderfully among them, did they not let the people go, and they departed?
| و چرا دل خود را سخت سازید، چنانکه مصریان و فرعون دل خود را سخت ساختند؟ آیابعد از آنکه در میان ایشان کارهای عجیب کرده بود ایشان را رها نکردند که رفتند؟ | ۶ |
7 Now therefore make a new cart, and take two milk cows, on which there hath come no yoke, and tie the cows to the cart, and bring their calves home from them:
| پس الان ارابه تازه بسازید و دو گاو شیرده را که یوغ برگردن ایشان نهاده نشده باشد بگیرید، و دو گاو رابه ارابه ببندید و گوساله های آنها را از عقب آنها به خانه برگردانید. | ۷ |
8 And take the ark of the LORD, and lay it upon the cart; and put the jewels of gold, which ye return to him for a trespass offering, in a box by its side; and send it away, that it may go.
| و تابوت خداوند را گرفته، آن رابر ارابه بنهید و اسباب طلا را که به جهت قربانی جرم برای او می‌فرستید در صندوقچه‌ای به پهلوی آن بگذارید، و آن را رها کنید تا برود. | ۸ |
9 And see, if it goeth up by the way of its own land to Bethshemesh, then he hath done us this great evil: but if not, then we shall know that it is not his hand that smote us: it was a chance that happened to us.
| ونظر کنید اگر به راه سرحد خود به سوی بیت شمس برود، بدانید اوست که این بلای عظیم را بر ما وارد گردانیده است، و اگرنه، پس خواهیددانست که دست او ما را لمس نکرده است، بلکه آنچه بر ما واقع شده است، اتفاقی است.» | ۹ |
10 And the men did so; and took two milk cows, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home:
| پس آن مردمان چنین کردند و دو گاوشیرده را گرفته، آنها را به ارابه بستند، وگوساله های آنها را در خانه نگاه داشتند. | ۱۰ |
11 And they laid the ark of the LORD upon the cart, and the box with the mice of gold and the images of their haemorrhoids.
| و تابوت خداوند و صندوقچه را با موشهای طلا وتماثیل خراجهای خود بر ارابه گذاشتند. | ۱۱ |
12 And the cows took the straight way to the way of Bethshemesh, and went along the highway, lowing as they went, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left; and the lords of the Philistines went after them to the border of Bethshemesh.
| وگاوان راه خود را راست گرفته، به راه بیت شمس روانه شدند و به شاهراه رفته، بانگ می‌زدند و به سوی چپ یا راست میل نمی نمودند، و سروران فلسطینیان در عقب آنها تا حد بیت شمس رفتند. | ۱۲ |
13 And they of Bethshemesh were reaping their wheat harvest in the valley: and they lifted up their eyes, and saw the ark, and rejoiced to see it.
| و اهل بیت شمس در دره گندم را درومی کردند، و چشمان خود را بلند کرده، تابوت رادیدند و از دیدنش خوشحال شدند. | ۱۳ |
14 And the cart came into the field of Joshua, a Bethshemite, and stood there, where there was a great stone: and they cut up the wood of the cart, and offered the cows as a burnt offering to the LORD.
| و ارابه به مزرعه یهوشع بیت شمسی درآمده، در آنجابایستاد و سنگ بزرگی در آنجا بود. پس چوب ارابه را شکسته، گاوان را برای قربانی سوختنی به جهت خداوند گذرانیدند. | ۱۴ |
15 And the Levites took down the ark of the LORD, and the box that was with it, in which were the jewels of gold, and put them on the great stone: and the men of Bethshemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the same day to the LORD.
| و لاویان تابوت خداوند و صندوقچه‌ای را که با آن بود و اسباب طلا داشت، پایین آورده، آنها را بر آن سنگ بزرگ نهادند و مردان بیت شمس در همان روز برای خداوند قربانی های سوختنی گذرانیدند و ذبایح ذبح نمودند. | ۱۵ |
16 And when the five lords of the Philistines had seen it, they returned to Ekron the same day.
| و چون آن پنج سرور فلسطینیان این را دیدند، در همان روز به عقرون برگشتند. | ۱۶ |
17 And these are the golden haemorrhoids which the Philistines returned for a trespass offering to the LORD; for Ashdod one, for Gaza one, for Askelon one, for Gath one, for Ekron one;
| و این است خراجهای طلایی که فلسطینیان به جهت قربانی جرم نزد خداوند فرستادند: برای اشدود یک، و برای غزه یک، و برای اشقلون یک، و برای جت یک، و برای عقرون یک. | ۱۷ |
18 And the golden mice, according to the number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging to the five lords, both of fortified cities, and of country villages, even to the great stone of Abel, on which they set down the ark of the LORD: which stone remaineth to this day in the field of Joshua, the Bethshemite.
| وموشهای طلا بر‌حسب شماره جمیع شهرهای فلسطینیان که از املاک آن پنج سرور بود، چه ازشهرهای حصاردار و چه از دهات بیرون تا آن سنگ بزرگی که تابوت خداوند را بر آن گذاشتندکه تا امروز در مزرعه یهوشع بیت شمسی باقی است. | ۱۸ |
19 And he smote the men of Bethshemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD, even he smote of the people fifty thousand and seventy men: and the people lamented, because the LORD had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter.
| و مردمان بیت شمس را زد، زیرا که به تابوت خداوند نگریستند، پس پنجاه هزار وهفتاد نفر از قوم را زد و قوم ماتم گرفتند، چونکه خداوند خلق را به بلای عظیم مبتلا ساخته بود. | ۱۹ |
20 And the men of Bethshemesh said, Who is able to stand before this holy LORD God? and to whom shall he go up from us?
| و مردمان بیت شمس گفتند: «کیست که به حضور این خدای قدوس یعنی یهوه می‌تواندبایستد و از ما نزد که خواهد رفت؟» | ۲۰ |
21 And they sent messengers to the inhabitants of Kirjathjearim, saying, The Philistines have brought again the ark of the LORD; come ye down, and bring it up to you.
| پس رسولان نزد ساکنان قریه یعاریم فرستاده، گفتند: «فلسطینیان تابوت خداوند را پس فرستاده‌اند، بیایید و آن را نزد خود ببرید.» | ۲۱ |
