< 1 Kings 18 >

1 And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, show thyself to Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth.
Khohnin muep a koe phoeikah a kum thum dongah BOEIPA ol te Elijah taengla pawk tih, “Cet lamtah Ahab taengah phoe pah, diklai hman ah khotlan kan paek bitni,” a ti nah.
2 And Elijah went to show himself to Ahab. And there was a grievous famine in Samaria.

3 And Ahab called Obadiah, who was the governor of his house. (Now Obadiah feared the LORD greatly:
Te dongah Ahab loh im kah Obadiah te a khue. Te vaengah Obadiah tah BOEIPA bahoeng aka rhih la om.
4 For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the LORD, that Obadiah took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.)
BOEIPA kah tonghma rhoek te Jezebel loh a thup ham a om vaengah khaw Obadiah loh tonghma yakhat te a khuen tih amih te lungko pakhat ah hlang sawmnga rhip a thuh. Te phoeiah amih te buh neh tui neh a cangbam.

Ahab loh Obadiah te, “Khohmuen kah tuisih tui boeih neh soklong boeih te paan lamtah sulrham khaw m'hmuh khaming. Te daengah ni marhang neh muli-marhang n'hing sak vetih rhamsa khaw n'hlong pawt eh?,” a ti nah.
6 So they divided the land between them to pass throughout it: Ahab went one way by himself, and Obadiah went another way by himself.
Khohmuen tom til hamla amamih tael uh thae. Ahab te amah bueng longpuei pakhat ah cet tih Obadiah khaw amah bueng longpuei pakhat ah cet.

9 And he said, How have I sinned, that thou wouldest deliver thy servant into the hand of Ahab, to slay me?
Te phoeiah, “Kai duek sak hamla Ahab kut ah na sal nan tloeng ham khaw nang balae ka tholh?”
10 As the LORD thy God liveth, there is no nation nor kingdom, where my lord hath not sent to seek thee: and when they said, He is not there; he took an oath of the kingdom and nation, that they found thee not.

Tedae nang loh, 'Na boei taengah cet lamtah 'Elijah he,’ ti nah,’ na ti mai.
12 And it shall come to pass, as soon as I have gone from thee, that the Spirit of the LORD shall carry thee where I know not; and so when I come and tell Ahab, and he cannot find thee, he shall slay me: but I thy servant fear the LORD from my youth.

17 And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said to him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel?

21 And Elijah came to all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD is God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.
