1 Kings 15
1 Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam the son of Nebat reigned Abijam over Judah.
१नबाटाचा पुत्र यराबाम इस्राएलवर राज्य करत होता. त्याच्या राजेपणाच्या कारकिर्दीचे अठरावे वर्ष चालू असताना, रहबामाचा पुत्र अबीयाम यहूदाचा पुढचा राजा झाला.
2 Three years he reigned in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom.
२अबीयाने तीन वर्षे यरूशलेमेत राज्य केले. याच्या आईचे नाव माका ही अबीशालोमाची कन्या.
3 And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father.
३आपल्या वडिलांच्याच पापांची उजळणी याने केली. आपले आजोबा दावीद यांच्याप्रमाणे तो परमेश्वर देवाशी एकनिष्ठ नव्हता.
4 Nevertheless for David’s sake the LORD his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem:
४दाविदावर परमेश्वराचे प्रेम होते. त्याच्याखातर त्याने त्याचा दीप यरूशलेमेत कायम राहू दिला. त्यानंतर त्याच्या पुत्राला उभारले, व यरूशलेम सुरक्षित ठेवले.
5 Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, except only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.
५दाविदाचे वर्तन परमेश्वराच्या इच्छेनुसार, योग्य असेच होते. त्याने परमेश्वराच्या आज्ञांचे नेहमीच पालन केले. उरीया हित्तीबद्दल घडलेले चुकीचे वर्तन एवढाच काय तो अपवाद.
6 And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life.
६रहबाम आणि यराबाम नेहमीच एकमेकांविरुध्द लढत असत.
7 Now the rest of the acts of Abijam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? And there was war between Abijam and Jeroboam.
७अबीयामाने आणखी जे काही केले त्याची नोंद, यहूदाच्या राजांचा इतिहास या पुस्तकात आहे. अहीयाच्या संपूर्ण कारकिर्दींत अहीया आणि यराबाम यांच्यात लढाई चालू असे.
8 And Abijam slept with his fathers; and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead.
८अबीयामाला त्याच्या मृत्यूनंतर दावीद नगरात पुरले. त्याचा पुत्र आसा राज्य करु लागला.
9 And in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel reigned Asa over Judah.
९यराबामाच्या इस्राएलवरील राज्याच्या विसाव्या वर्षी आसा यहूदाचा राजा झाला,
10 And forty and one years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom.
१०आसाने यरूशलेमेवर एक्केचाळीस वर्षे राज्य केले. त्याच्या आजीचे नाव माका. ती अबीशालोमाची कन्या.
11 And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father.
११आपला पूर्वज दावीद याच्या प्रमाणेच परमेश्वराच्या मते जे योग्य तेच आसाने केले.
12 And he banished the sodomites from the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.
१२त्याकाळी दैवतांच्या नावाखाली शरीरविक्रय करणारे पुरुष वेश्या होते. आसाने त्यांना देशत्याग करायला लावले. तसेच त्याने आपल्या वाडवडिलांनी केलेल्या मूर्ती पूर्णपणे हलवल्या.
13 And also Maachah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove; and Asa destroyed her idol, and burnt it by the brook Kidron.
१३आपली आजी माका हिला आसाने राणीच्या पदावरून दूर केले. अंमगळ दैवत अशेरा हिची एक मूर्ती या आजीनेही केली होती. आसाने त्या मूर्तीची मोडतोड केली. किद्रोन खोऱ्यात ती जाळून टाकली.
14 But the high places were not removed: nevertheless Asa’s heart was perfect with the LORD all his days.
१४त्याने उच्च स्थानाची नासधूस केली नाही, मात्र आसा आयुष्यभर परमेश्वराशी एकनिष्ठ राहिला.
15 And he brought the things which his father had dedicated, and the things which himself had dedicated, into the house of the LORD, silver, and gold, and vessels.
१५आसा आणि त्याचे वडिल यांनी परमेश्वरासाठी काही वस्तू करून घेतल्या होत्या. सोन्याचांदीच्या वस्तू आणि आणखी काही गोष्टी त्यामध्ये होत्या. त्या सर्व त्याने व्यवस्थित मंदिरात जमा केल्या.
16 And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.
१६आसा यहूदावर राज्य करीत असेपर्यंत इस्राएलचा राजा बाशा याच्याशी त्याच्या लढाया चालत.
17 And Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not allow any to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
१७इस्राएलचा राजा बाशाने यहूदावर चढाया केल्या. आसाच्या प्रदेशातील लोकांचे येणे जाणे त्यास थांबवायचे होते. त्यामुळे रामा नगर त्याने चांगले मजबूत केले.
18 Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasuries of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king’s house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants: and king Asa sent them to Benhadad, the son of Tabrimon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,
१८आसाने मग परमेश्वराच्या मंदिराच्या खजिन्यातले आणि महालातले सोनेनाणे काढून घेतले. आपल्या सेवकांच्या हाती ते सोपवून त्यांना त्याने अरामाचा राजा बेन हदाद यांच्याकडे पाठवले. बेन-हदाद हा टब्रिम्मोनचा पुत्र आणि टब्रिम्मोन हेज्योनचा. बेनहदादची राजधानी दिमिष्क होती.
19 There is a league between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent to thee a present of silver and gold; come and break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.
१९आसाने आपल्या संदेशात म्हटले होते, “माझे वडिल आणि तुझे वडिल यांच्यात शांततेचा करार झाला होता. आता मला तुझ्याशी करार करायचा आहे. तुला मी हा सोन्यारुप्याचा नजराणा पाठवत आहे. इस्राएलचा राजा बाशा याच्याशी झालेल्या कराराचा तू भंग कर म्हणजे तो माझ्या प्रदेशातून निघून जाईल.”
20 So Benhadad hearkened to king Asa, and sent the captains of the armies which he had against the cities of Israel, and smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abelbethmaachah, and all Cinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali.
२०राजा बेन-हदाद याने आसाशी करार केला आणि इयोन, दान, आबेल-बेथ-माका, गालिल सरोवरालगतची गावे, किन्नेरोथ आणि नफतालीचा प्रांत यांच्यावर चढाई करायला आपले सैन्य इस्राएलावर पाठवले.
21 And it came to pass, when Baasha heard of it, that he stopped building Ramah, and dwelt in Tirzah.
२१या हल्ल्याची बातमी बाशाच्या कानावर गेली. तेव्हा त्याने रामा नगराच्या मजबूतीचे काम सोडले, ते गाव सोडले आणि तिरसा या ठिकाणी तो परतला.
22 Then king Asa made a proclamation throughout all Judah; none was exempted: and they took away the stones of Ramah, and its timber, with which Baasha had built it; and king Asa built with them Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.
२२मग आसा राजाने यहूदातील सर्व प्रजेला मदतीसाठी पाचारण केले. एकही जण त्यातून सुटला नाही. ते सर्व रामा येथे गेले. तिथून त्यांनी बाशाची दगड, लाकूड वगैरे सर्व बांधकामसामग्री आणली. बन्यामीनमधील गिबा आणि मिस्पा येथे या सर्व वस्तू त्यांनी वाहून नेल्या. आसाने ही नगरे चांगली भक्कम केली.
23 The rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? Nevertheless in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.
२३आसाबद्दलच्या इतर गोष्टी, त्याचे पराक्रम, त्याने बांधलेली नगरे या सगळ्यांची माहिती यहूदाच्या राजांच्या इतिहास या पुस्तकात लिहिलेली आहे. म्हातारपणी आसा पायाच्या दुखण्याने बेजार झाला.
24 And Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead.
२४आसाचे निधन झाल्यावर त्याच्या पूर्वजांच्या दावीद याच्या नगरात त्याचे दफन झाले. त्यानंतर त्याचा पुत्र यहोशाफाट राज्य करु लागला.
25 And Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned over Israel two years.
२५यहूदाचा राजा म्हणून आसाचे दुसरे वर्ष चालू असताना यराबामाचा पुत्र नादाब इस्राएलचा राजा झाला. त्याने इस्राएलवर दोन वर्षे राज्य केले.
26 And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin which he made Israel to sin.
२६नादाबने परमेश्वरविरोधी कृत्ये केली. आपले वडिल यराबाम यांच्यासारखीच दुष्कृत्ये केली यराबामाने इस्राएल लोकांसही पाप करायला लावले होते.
27 And Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him; and Baasha smote him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines; for Nadab and all Israel laid siege to Gibbethon.
२७बाशा हा अहीयाचा पुत्र. हे इस्साखाराच्या वंशातले. बाशाने नादाब राजाला मारायचा कट केला. नादाब आणि इस्राएल लोक गिब्बथोन या पलिष्ट्यांच्या नगराला वेढा घालत होते तेव्हाची ही गोष्ट आहे. बाशाने या ठिकाणी नादाबला ठार केले.
28 Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah did Baasha slay him, and reigned in his stead.
२८आसाचे हे यहूदाचा राजा म्हणून तिसरे वर्ष होते. मग बाशा इस्राएलचा राजा झाला.
29 And it came to pass, when he reigned, that he smote all the house of Jeroboam; he left not to Jeroboam any that breathed, until he had destroyed him, according to the saying of the LORD, which he spoke by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite:
२९बाशा राजा झाल्यावर त्याने यराबामाच्या कुळातील सर्वांना ठार केले. कोणाचीही त्याने गय केली नाही. शिलोचा संदेष्टा अहीया यांच्यामार्फत परमेश्वराने जी भविष्यवाणी केली होती तसेच हे झाले.
30 Because of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and which he made Israel sin, by his provocation with which he provoked the LORD God of Israel to anger.
३०राजा यराबामाने बरीच पापे केली होती, तसेच इस्राएल लोकांसही ती करायला लावली म्हणून हे घडले. इस्राएलचा परमेश्वर देव याचा यराबामावर कोप झाला
31 Now the rest of the acts of Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
३१इस्राएलाच्या राजांचा इतिहास या पुस्तकात नादाबचे इतर पराक्रम नोंदलेले आहेत.
32 And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.
३२बाशा इस्राएलवर राज्य करत असताना यहूदाचा राजा आसा याच्याशी त्याचे सर्वकाळ युध्द चालले होते.
33 In the third year of Asa king of Judah began Baasha the son of Ahijah to reign over all Israel in Tirzah, twenty and four years.
३३यहूदाचा राजा आसाच्या कारकिर्दीच्या तिसऱ्या वर्षी अहीयाचा पुत्र बाशा हा इस्राएलचा राजा झाला. तिरसामध्ये राहून त्याने चोवीस वर्षे राज्य केले.
34 And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he made Israel to sin.
३४पण परमेश्वराच्या दृष्टीने जे वाईट ते त्याने केले. आपले वडिल यराबाम यांनी केली तीच पातके बाशानेही केली. यराबामाने इस्राएल लोकांसही पापे करायला लावली होती.
