< 1 Kings 15 >

1 Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam the son of Nebat reigned Abijam over Judah.
Abija malitere ịbụ eze Juda, nʼafọ iri na asatọ nke ọchịchị eze Jeroboam nwa Nebat.
2 Three years he reigned in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom.
Ọ chịrị afọ atọ na Jerusalem. Aha nne ya bụ Maaka, nwa nwanyị Abishalom.
3 And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father.
O mere mmehie niile nna ya mere nʼihu ya; o jighị obi zuruoke gbasoo Onyenwe anyị Chineke ya, dịka obi nna nna ya Devid dị.
4 Nevertheless for David’s sake the LORD his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem:
Ma nʼihi Devid, Onyenwe anyị Chineke ya nyere ya oriọna na Jerusalem, site na-ime ka nwa ya nwoke nọchie ọnọdụ ya nakwa ime ka Jerusalem guzosie ike.
5 Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, except only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.
Nʼihi na Devid mere ihe ziri ezi nʼanya Onyenwe anyị, ọ dịghịkwa iwu Onyenwe anyị ọbụla nke ọ na-edebeghị nʼụbọchị ndụ ya niile, ma ọ bụghị naanị ihe banyere okwu Ụraya, onye Het.
6 And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life.
Agha dị nʼetiti Abija na Jeroboam nʼụbọchị niile nke ndụ Abija.
7 Now the rest of the acts of Abijam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? And there was war between Abijam and Jeroboam.
8 And Abijam slept with his fathers; and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead.
9 And in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel reigned Asa over Judah.
Nʼafọ nke iri abụọ nke ọchịchị Jeroboam eze Izrel, ka Asa ghọrọ eze Juda.
10 And forty and one years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom.
Ọ chịrị iri afọ anọ na otu na Jerusalem. Aha nne nne ya bụ Maaka, nwa nwanyị Abishalom.
11 And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father.
Asa mere ihe ziri ezi nʼanya Onyenwe anyị dịka Devid nna ya mere.
12 And he banished the sodomites from the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.
O sitere nʼala ahụ niile chụpụ ndị ikom akwụna ụlọ arụsị niile, wezugakwa arụsị niile nke ndị nna nna ya ha mere.
13 And also Maachah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove; and Asa destroyed her idol, and burnt it by the brook Kidron.
14 But the high places were not removed: nevertheless Asa’s heart was perfect with the LORD all his days.
Ọ bụ ezie na o wezugaghị ugwu niile dị elu, ma Asa ji obi zuruoke jere Onyenwe anyị ozi nʼoge ndụ ya niile.
15 And he brought the things which his father had dedicated, and the things which himself had dedicated, into the house of the LORD, silver, and gold, and vessels.
16 And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.
Ma agha dịgidere nʼetiti Asa na Baasha, eze Izrel ụbọchị ọchịchị ha niile.
17 And Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not allow any to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
Baasha eze Izrel, busoro Juda agha, wuchie Rema igbochi onye ọbụla na-apụ apụ maọbụ onye na-abata abata nʼoke ala Asa, eze Juda.
18 Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasuries of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king’s house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants: and king Asa sent them to Benhadad, the son of Tabrimon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,
Mgbe ahụ, Asa chịịrị ọlaọcha na ọlaedo niile dị nʼụlọakụ ụlọnsọ Onyenwe anyị, na ndị dị nʼụlọeze ya, nyefee ya nʼaka ndị ozi ya ka ha chịrị ha zigara Ben-Hadad, nwa Tabrimọm, nwa Hezion, bụ eze Aram, onye na-achị na Damaskọs, sị,
19 There is a league between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent to thee a present of silver and gold; come and break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.
“Biko, ka anyị gbaa ndụ dịka nna m na nna gị mere. Lee, ana m ezitere gị onyinye ọlaọcha na ọlaedo. Ugbu a, mebie ọgbụgba ndụ dị nʼetiti gị na Baasha, bụ eze Izrel, ka o si nʼebe m nọ wezuga onwe ya.”
20 So Benhadad hearkened to king Asa, and sent the captains of the armies which he had against the cities of Israel, and smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abelbethmaachah, and all Cinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali.
Ben-Hadad kwenyere eze Asa, zipụ ndị ọchịagha ndị agha ya ka ha gaa buso obodo Izrel niile agha. Ọ lụgburu Ijon, Dan, Ebel-Bet-Maaka na ala Kineret niile, tinyere ala niile nke ndị Naftalị.
21 And it came to pass, when Baasha heard of it, that he stopped building Ramah, and dwelt in Tirzah.
Mgbe Baasha nụrụ nke a, ọ kwụsịrị iwu Rema, laghachi biri na Tịaza.
22 Then king Asa made a proclamation throughout all Judah; none was exempted: and they took away the stones of Ramah, and its timber, with which Baasha had built it; and king Asa built with them Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.
Mgbe ahụ, eze Asa nyere iwu zigara ndị Juda niile, na ọ dịghị onye iwu ahụ hapụrụ, ha bịara bupusịa nkume na osisi niile dị na Rema, nke Baasha ji na-ewu ihe nʼebe ahụ. Eze Asa ji ihe ndị a wulie Geba nke Benjamin, wuokwa Mizpa.
23 The rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? Nevertheless in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.
Ma banyere ihe ndị ọzọ niile mere nʼoge ọchịchị Asa, na ihe niile ọ rụpụtara na obodo niile ndị o wuru, ọ bụ na e deghị ha nʼakwụkwọ akụkọ ihe e mere nʼoge ndị eze Juda? Ma ọ rịara ọrịa nke metụtara ụkwụ ya abụọ, mgbe o mere agadi.
24 And Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead.
Asa sooro ndị nna nna ya ha dina nʼọnwụ, e lie ya nʼebe e liri ha, nʼobodo Devid, bụ nna ya. Jehoshafat nwa ya ghọrọ eze nʼọnọdụ ya.
25 And Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned over Israel two years.
Nadab, nwa Jeroboam, malitere ịbụ eze Izrel, nʼafọ nke abụọ nke Asa, eze Juda. Ọ chịrị Izrel afọ abụọ.
26 And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin which he made Israel to sin.
O mere ihe dị njọ nʼanya Onyenwe anyị. Ọ gbasoro ụzọ niile nke nna ya ma na-emekwa otu mmehie ahụ nke nna ya ji duba Izrel nʼime mmehie.
27 And Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him; and Baasha smote him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines; for Nadab and all Israel laid siege to Gibbethon.
28 Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah did Baasha slay him, and reigned in his stead.
Baasha gburu Nadab, nọchie ọnọdụ ya dịka eze, nʼafọ nke atọ nke ọchịchị Asa, eze Juda.
29 And it came to pass, when he reigned, that he smote all the house of Jeroboam; he left not to Jeroboam any that breathed, until he had destroyed him, according to the saying of the LORD, which he spoke by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite:
Ngwangwa, mgbe ọ malitere ọchịchị ya, o gburu ndị ezinaụlọ Jeroboam niile. O kweghị ka onye ọbụla na-eku ume fọdụ, kama ọ lara ha niile nʼiyi, dịka okwu Onyenwe anyị kwuru site nʼọnụ onyeozi ya, bụ Ahija onye Shilo.
30 Because of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and which he made Israel sin, by his provocation with which he provoked the LORD God of Israel to anger.
Ihe ndị a mere nʼihi mmehie niile Jeroboam mere, nke o mere ka Izrel mee, nakwa nʼihi na ọ kpasuru Onyenwe anyị, bụ Chineke Izrel iwe.
31 Now the rest of the acts of Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
Ma banyere ihe ndị ọzọ niile mere nʼoge ọchịchị Nadab, o bụ na e deghị ha nʼakwụkwọ akụkọ ihe mere nʼoge ndị eze Izrel?
32 And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.
Ma agha dịgidere nʼetiti Asa na Baasha, eze Izrel, ụbọchị ọchịchị ha niile.
33 In the third year of Asa king of Judah began Baasha the son of Ahijah to reign over all Israel in Tirzah, twenty and four years.
Nʼafọ nke atọ nke Asa, eze Juda, Baasha nwa Ahija ghọrọ eze ndị Izrel niile na Tịaza. Ọ chịrị iri afọ abụọ na abụọ.
34 And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he made Israel to sin.
O mere ọtụtụ ihe dị njọ nʼanya Onyenwe anyị. Ọ gbasoro ụzọ ọjọọ niile nke Jeroboam, jeekwa ije nʼime otu mmehie ahụ nke Jeroboam dubara ndị Izrel ime.
