< 1 Corinthians 13 >

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
Kai teh tami lawk hoi kalvantaminaw e lawk koung kapan thai nakunghai lungpatawnae ka tawn hoehpawiteh ka cai e mongka lawk hoi khawng na dueng kacai e Cecak lawk patetlah doeh ka o.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
Ayâ ka paca ni teh ka tawn hno pueng karoedengnaw ka poe hloilah, ka tak hmaisawi totouh ka poe nakunghai, lungpatawnae ka tawn hoehpawiteh kai dawk aphu awm hoeh
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
Lungpatawnae teh a lungsaw, lungpatawnae teh kahawi hno a sak, lungpatawnae teh kâoup hoeh, lungthin poan hoeh.
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
A nuen mathout hoeh, kâkaram hoeh, a lungkhuek hoeh, yonnae pâkuem hoeh,
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
kamsoumhoeh e hno dawk konawm hoeh, lawkkatang dawk doeh a konawm.
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Hno cawngca a ramuk thai. Hno cawngca a yuem, hnocawngca a ngaihawi, hnocawngca a panguep.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there are prophecies, they shall be done away; whether there are tongues, they shall cease; whether there is knowledge, it shall vanish away.
Lungpatawnae teh nâtuek hai pout ma hoeh. Profet lawk pan thainae teh a pout han, alouke lawk dei thainae teh a roum han, thoumthainae hai ka hmat han.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
Atuvah maimouh teh ka kuep hoeh lah panue awh. Profet lahoi ka kuep hoeh lah pâpho awh. Kuepnae koe pha awh toteh ka kuep hoeh e naw pueng a kahma han.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
Kuepnae koe a pha toteh, Ka kuep hoeh e pueng a pout han,
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
Camo lah ka o nah, camo lawk lah ka dei, camo patetlah ka pouk, camo patetlah ka panue. Ka cue toteh camonae naw ka ceitakhai.
12 For now we see in a mirror, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
Atuvah, yuemnae, ngaihawinae, lungpatawnae hetnaw ao. Hote kathum touh thung dawk lungpatawnae teh a lenpoung.
