1 Chronicles 27
1 Now the children of Israel after their number, that is, the chief fathers and captains of thousands and hundreds, and their officers that served the king in any matter of the courses, which came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year, of every course were twenty and four thousand.
Les enfants d'Israël selon leur nombre, chefs de familles, chefs de milliers et de centaines, officiers au service du roi pour tout ce qui concernait les divisions, celles qui arrivaient et celles qui partaient, mois par mois, pendant tous les mois de l'année, — chaque division étant de vingt-quatre mille hommes, — étaient:
2 Over the first course for the first month was Jashobeam the son of Zabdiel: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
A la tête de la première division, pour le premier mois, était Jesboam, fils de Zabdiel, et il y avait dans sa division vingt-quatre mille hommes.
3 Of the children of Perez was the chief of all the captains of the host for the first month.
Il était d'entre les fils de Pharès, et il commandait tous les chefs des troupes du premier mois. —
4 And over the course of the second month was Dodai an Ahohite, and of his course was Mikloth also the ruler: in his course likewise were twenty and four thousand.
A la tête de la division du deuxième mois était Dudia, l'Ahohite; Macelloth, le prince, était un chef de sa division; et il y avait dans sa division vingt-quatre mille hommes. —
5 The third captain of the host for the third month was Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, a chief priest: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
Le chef de la troisième division, pour le troisième mois, était Banaïas, fils du prêtre Joïada, chef; et il y avait dans sa division vingt-quatre mille hommes.
6 This is that Benaiah, who was mighty among the thirty, and above the thirty: and in his course was Ammizabad his son.
Ce Banaïas était le héros des Trente, à la tête des Trente; Amizabad, son fils, était un chef de sa division. —
7 The fourth captain for the fourth month was Asahel the brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son after him: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
Le quatrième, pour le quatrième mois, était Asaël, frère de Joab, et, après lui, Zabadias, son fils; et il y avait dans sa division vingt-quatre mille hommes. —
8 The fifth captain for the fifth month was Shamhuth the Izrahite: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
Le cinquième, pour le cinquième mois, était le chef Samaoth, l'Izrahite; et il y avait dans sa division vingt-quatre mille hommes. —
9 The sixth captain for the sixth month was Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
Le sixième, pour le sixième mois, était Hira, fils d'Accès, de Thécua; et il y avait dans sa division vingt-quatre mille hommes. —
10 The seventh captain for the seventh month was Helez the Pelonite, of the children of Ephraim: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
Le septième, pour le septième mois, était Hellès, le Phallonite, des fils d'Ephraïm; et il y avait dans sa division vingt-quatre mille hommes. —
11 The eighth captain for the eighth month was Sibbecai the Hushathite, of the Zarhites: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
Le huitième, pour le huitième mois, était Sobochaï, le Husathite, de la famille des Zarahites; et il y avait dans sa division vingt-quatre mille hommes. —
12 The ninth captain for the ninth month was Abiezer the Anetothite, of the Benjamites: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
Le neuvième, pour le neuvième mois, était Abiézer, d'Anathoth, des fils de Benjamin; et il y avait dans sa division vingt-quatre mille hommes. —
13 The tenth captain for the tenth month was Maharai the Netophathite, of the Zarhites: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
Le dixième, pour le dixième mois, était Maraï, de Nétopha, de la famille des Zaharites; et il y avait dans sa division vingt-quatre mille hommes. —
14 The eleventh captain for the eleventh month was Benaiah the Pirathonite, of the children of Ephraim: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
Le onzième, pour le onzième mois, était Banaïas, de Pharathon des fils d'Ephraïm; et il y avait dans sa division vingt-quatre mille hommes. —
15 The twelfth captain for the twelfth month was Heldai the Netophathite, of Othniel: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
Le douzième, pour le douzième mois, était Holdaï, de Nétopha, de la famille d'Othoniel; et il y avait dans sa division vingt-quatre mille hommes. —
16 Furthermore over the tribes of Israel: the ruler of the Reubenites was Eliezer the son of Zichri: of the Simeonites, Shephatiah the son of Maachah:
Et il y avait à la tête des tribus d'Israël: des Rubénites: Eliézer, fils de Zéchri; des Siméonites: Saphatias, fils de Maacha;
17 Of the Levites, Hashabiah the son of Kemuel: of the Aaronites, Zadok:
des Lévites: Hasabias, fils de Camuel; de la famille d'Aaron: Sadoc;
18 Of Judah, Elihu, one of the brethren of David: of Issachar, Omri the son of Michael:
de Juda: Eliu, frère de David; d'Issachar, Amri, fils de Michaël;
19 Of Zebulun, Ishmaiah the son of Obadiah: of Naphtali, Jerimoth the son of Azriel:

20 Of the children of Ephraim, Hoshea the son of Azaziah: of the half tribe of Manasseh, Joel the son of Pedaiah:

21 Of the half tribe of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo the son of Zechariah: of Benjamin, Jaasiel the son of Abner:

22 Of Dan, Azareel the son of Jeroham. These were the princes of the tribes of Israel.

23 But David took not the number of them from twenty years old and under: because the LORD had said he would increase Israel like the stars of the heavens.
David ne fit point le dénombrement de ceux qui étaient âgés de vingt ans et au-dessous, car Yahweh avait dit qu'il multiplierait Israël comme les étoiles du ciel.
24 Joab the son of Zeruiah began to number, but he finished not, because there fell wrath for it against Israel; neither was the number put in the account of the chronicles of king David.
Joab, fils de Sarvia, avait commencé le dénombrement, mais il ne l'acheva pas, la colère de Yahweh étant venue à cause de cela sur Israël, et le résultat n'en fut pas porté sur les rôles des chroniques du roi David.
25 And over the king’s treasuries was Azmaveth the son of Adiel: and over the storehouses in the fields, in the cities, and in the villages, and in the castles, was Jehonathan the son of Uzziah:
Asmoth, fils d'Adiel, était préposé sur les trésors du roi; Jonathan, fils d'Ozias, sur les trésors dans les champs, dans les villes, dans les villages et dans les tours;
26 And over them that did the work of the field for tillage of the ground was Ezri the son of Chelub:
Ezri, fils de Chélub, sur les ouvriers des champs qui cultivaient la terre;
27 And over the vineyards was Shimei the Ramathite: over the increase of the vineyards for the wine cellars was Zabdi the Shiphmite:
Séméï, de Rama, sur les vignes; Zabdias, de Sapham, sur les provisions de vin dans les vignes;
28 And over the olive trees and the sycamore trees that were in the low plains was Baalhanan the Gederite: and over the cellars of oil was Joash:
Balanan, de Géder, sur les oliviers et les sycomores dans la Séphéla; Joas, sur les provisions d'huile;
29 And over the herds that fed in Sharon was Shitrai the Sharonite: and over the herds that were in the valleys was Shaphat the son of Adlai:
Séthraï, de Saron, sur les bœufs qui paissaient en Saron; Saphat, fils d'Adli, sur les bœufs dans les vallées;
30 Over the camels also was Obil the Ishmaelite: and over the donkeys was Jehdeiah the Meronothite:
Ubil, l'Ismaélite, sur les chameaux; Jadias, de Méronath, sur les ânesses;
31 And over the flocks was Jaziz the Hagerite. All these were the rulers of the substance which was king David’s.
Jaziz, l'Agarénien, sur les brebis. Tous ceux-là étaient intendants des biens du roi David.
32 Also Jonathan David’s uncle was a counsellor, a wise man, and a scribe: and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni was with the king’s sons:
Jonathan, oncle de David, était conseiller; c'était un homme de sens et de savoir. Jahiel, fils de Hachamoni, était avec les fils du roi.
33 And Ahithophel was the king’s counsellor: and Hushai the Archite was the king’s companion:
Achitophel était conseiller du roi, et Chusaï, l'Archéen, était ami du roi;
34 And after Ahithophel was Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar: and the general of the king’s army was Joab.
après Achitophel, Joïada, fils de Banaïas, et Abiathar. Joab était chef de l'armée du roi.
