1 Chronicles 11
1 Then all Israel gathered themselves to David to Hebron, saying, Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh.
౧ఇదంతా అయ్యాక ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలందరూ హెబ్రోనులో ఉన్న దావీదు దగ్గరికి వచ్చారు. “ఇలా చూడు, మేము నీకు రక్తమాంసాల్లాంటి వాళ్ళం. నీ సొంత బంధువులం.
2 And moreover in time past, even when Saul was king, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the LORD thy God said to thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be ruler over my people Israel.
౨ఇటీవల సౌలు మాపై రాజుగా ఉన్నప్పుడు నువ్వు ఇశ్రాయేలు సైన్యాలను నడిపిస్తూ ఉన్నావు. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీతో ‘నా ప్రజలైన ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు నీవు కాపరిగా ఉంటావు. వారిమీద అధిపతిగా ఉండి పరిపాలన చేస్తావు’ అని చెప్పాడు కదా” అని దావీదుతో అన్నారు.
3 Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by Samuel.
౩ఇలా ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజల పెద్దలంతా హెబ్రోనులో ఉన్న రాజు దగ్గరికి వచ్చారు. అప్పుడు రాజైన దావీదు హెబ్రోనులో యెహోవా సన్నిధిలో వారితో నిబంధన చేశాడు. వారంతా కలసి ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలందరి పై రాజుగా దావీదుకి అభిషేకం చేశారు. ఈ విధంగా సమూయేలు ప్రకటించిన యెహోవా మాట నెరవేరింది.
4 And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus; where the Jebusites were, the inhabitants of the land.
౪ఆ తరువాత దావీదూ, ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలంతా యెరూషలేము అనే పేరున్న యెబూసుకి వెళ్ళారు. అప్పటికి ఆ దేశంలో స్థానికులైన యెబూసీయులు నివసిస్తున్నారు.
5 And the inhabitants of Jebus said to David, Thou shalt not come here. Nevertheless David took the strong hold of Zion, which is the city of David.
౫యెబూసులో నివసించే స్థానికులు దావీదుతో “నువ్వు ఇక్కడికి రాలేవు” అన్నారు. కాని దావీదు అక్కడి సీయోను కోటని ఆక్రమించాడు. ఈ సీయోనునే “దావీదు పట్టణం” అంటారు.
6 And David said, Whoever smiteth the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain. So Joab the son of Zeruiah went up first, and was chief.
౬దానికి ముందు దావీదు “ఎవరు మొదట యెబూసీయులపై దాడి చేస్తాడో అతడే సైన్యాధిపతి అవుతాడు” అని ప్రకటించాడు. దాంతో సెరూయా కొడుకైన యోవాబు అందరి కన్నా ముందుగా వారిపై దాడి చేశాడు. కాబట్టి యోవాబునే సైన్యాధిపతిగా నియమించారు.
7 And David dwelt in the strong hold; therefore they called it the city of David.
౭తరువాత దావీదు ఆ కోటలోనే నివసించాడు. కాబట్టి దానికి “దావీదు పట్టణం” అనే పేరు కలిగింది.
8 And he built the city all around, even from Millo all around: and Joab repaired the rest of the city.
౮దావీదు ఆ పట్టణాన్ని పునర్నిర్మించాడు. మిల్లో నుండి ప్రాకారం వరకూ పటిష్ట పరిచాడు. పట్టణంలో మిగిలిన ప్రాంతాలను యోవాబు పటిష్టపరిచాడు.
9 So David became greater and greater: for the LORD of hosts was with him.
౯దావీదు అంతకంతకూ ఘనత పొందుతూ ఉన్నాడు. ఎందుకంటే సైన్యాలకు అధిపతి అయిన యెహోవా అతనికి తోడుగా ఉన్నాడు.
10 These also are the chief of the mighty men whom David had, who strengthened themselves with him in his kingdom, and with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of the LORD concerning Israel.
౧౦ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజల విషయంలో యెహోవా మాటకు లోబడి ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలందరితో కలసి దావీదుని రాజుగా చేసినవాళ్ళూ, దావీదుతో కూడా శూరులుగా, బలవంతులుగా నిలిచిన వాళ్ళూ, నాయకులుగా ఉన్నవాళ్ళూ వీళ్ళే.
11 And this is the number of the mighty men whom David had; Jashobeam, an Hachmonite, the chief of the captains: he lifted his spear against three hundred slain by him at one time.
౧౧దావీదు దగ్గర శ్రేష్ఠులుగా ఉన్న ఆ శూరుల జాబితాలో ముప్ఫై మంది ఉన్నారు. వారిలో ప్రముఖుడు ఒక హక్మోనీ వాడి కొడుకైన యాషాబాము. ఇతను ఒక యుద్ధంలో కేవలం తన ఈటెతో మూడు వందల మందిని చంపాడు.
12 And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, who was one of the three mighty men.
౧౨ఇతని తరువాత పేరు అహోహీయుడైన దోదో కొడుకైన ఎలియాజరుది. ఇతడు ముగ్గురు బలవంతులుగా పేరు పొందిన వారిలో ఒకడు.
13 He was with David at Pasdammim, and there the Philistines were gathered to battle, where was a parcel of ground full of barley; and the people fled from before the Philistines.
౧౩ఇతడు పస్దమ్మీములో ఫిలిష్తీయులతో జరిగిన యుద్ధంలో దావీదుతో కూడా ఉన్నాడు. అక్కడ ఒక బార్లీ చేను ఉంది. మిగిలిన సైన్యం ఫిలిష్తీయులను చూసి పారిపోయారు.
14 And they set themselves in the midst of that parcel, and delivered it, and slew the Philistines; and the LORD saved them by a great deliverance.
౧౪అయితే వీళ్ళు ఆ చేని మధ్యలో నిలిచి ఫిలిష్తీయులను అడ్డుకుని వారిని హతమార్చారు. యెహోవా వారిని రక్షించి వాళ్లకు గొప్ప విజయం అనుగ్రహించాడు.
15 Now three of the thirty captains went down to the rock to David, into the cave of Adullam; and the host of the Philistines encamped in the valley of Rephaim.
౧౫ఆ ముప్ఫై మంది శూరుల్లో ప్రముఖులైన ఈ ముగ్గురూ అదుల్లాము అనే రాతి గుహలో ఉన్న దావీదు దగ్గరికి వచ్చారు. ఫిలిష్తీ సైన్యం రెఫాయీము లోయలో మజిలీ చేశారు.
16 And David was then in the strong hold, and the Philistines’ garrison was then at Bethlehem.
౧౬ఆ సమయంలో దావీదు తన స్థావరం అయిన గుహలో ఉండగా ఫిలిష్తీ సైన్యం బేత్లెహేములో మకాం చేశారు.
17 And David longed, and said, O that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, that is at the gate!
౧౭దావీదు బేత్లెహేము నీటి కోసం ఆశ పడ్డాడు. “బేత్లెహేములోని బావిలో నీళ్ళు నాకెవరు తెస్తారు? ఆ ఊరి ద్వారం దగ్గర ఉన్న బావి నీళ్ళు నా దాహం తీర్చడానికి నాకెవరు తెస్తారు?” అన్నాడు.
18 And the three broke through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: but David would not drink of it, but poured it out to the LORD,
౧౮కాబట్టి ఆ ముగ్గురు బలవంతులూ ఫిలిష్తీ సైన్యంలోకి చొరబడ్డారు. వారి మధ్యలో నుండి వెళ్ళి ఆ ఊరి ద్వారం దగ్గర బావిలోని నీళ్ళు తోడుకుని వాటిని దావీదుకు తెచ్చి ఇచ్చారు. కానీ దావీదు ఆ నీళ్ళు తాగేందుకు నిరాకరించాడు. వాటిని యెహోవాకు అర్పణగా పారబోసాడు.
19 And said, My God forbid it me, that I should do this thing: shall I drink the blood of these men that have put their lives in jeopardy? for with the jeopardy of their lives they brought it. Therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men.
౧౯తరువాత ఇలా అన్నాడు “నేను ఈ నీళ్ళు తాగకుండా నా దేవుడు నన్ను కాపాడుతాడు గాక. వీళ్ళు తమ ప్రాణాలకు తెగించి తెచ్చిన ఈ నీళ్ళు వాళ్ళ రక్తం లాంటిది. దాన్నినేను ఎలా తాగగలను?” అన్నాడు. ఈ ముగ్గురు బలవంతులు ఇలాంటి కార్యాలు చేశారు.
20 And Abishai the brother of Joab, he was chief of the three: for lifting his spear against three hundred, he slew them, and had a name among the three.
౨౦యోవాబు సోదరుడైన అబీషై ముగ్గురికీ నాయకుడు. ఒక యుద్ధంలో ఇతడు మూడు వందల మందిని కేవలం తన ఈటెతో హతమార్చాడు. అలా ఆ ముగ్గురితో పాటు తరచుగా ఇతని పేరు కూడా వినిపించేది.
21 Of the three, he was more honourable than the two; for he was their captain: but he attained not to the first three.
౨౧ముగ్గురిలో ఇతనికి ఎక్కువ గౌరవం, కీర్తీ కలిగాయి. అయితే అతనికి కలిగిన కీర్తి పేరు మోసిన ఆ ముగ్గురు సైనికుల కీర్తికి సాటి కాలేదు.
22 Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done many deeds; he slew two lionlike men of Moab: also he went down and slew a lion in a pit in a snowy day.
౨౨ఇంకా కబ్సెయేలు ఊరివాడు యెహోయాదా కొడుకు బెనాయా ఎంతో బలవంతుడు. తన పరాక్రమ కార్యాల వల్ల ఇతడు ఎంతో ప్రసిద్ధికెక్కాడు. ఇతడు మోయాబు వాడు అరీయేలు కొడుకులిద్దర్నీ చంపాడు. ఇంకా ఇతడు మంచు పడే కాలంలో ఒక బిలంలోకి దిగి అక్కడ ఒక సింహాన్ని చంపివేశాడు.
23 And he slew an Egyptian, a man of great stature, five cubits tall; and in the Egyptian’s hand was a spear like a weaver’s beam; and he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian’s hand, and slew him with his own spear.
౨౩ఒకసారి ఇతను ఏడున్నర అడుగుల ఎత్తున్న ఒక ఐగుప్తీయున్నిచంపాడు. ఆ ఐగుప్తీయుడి చేతిలో సాలెవాడి దండె అంత పెద్ద ఈటె ఉంది. బెనాయా వాడి మీదికి ఒక కర్ర పట్టుకుని వెళ్ళాడు. ఆ ఈటెను ఐగుప్తీయుడి చేతిలోనుండి లాక్కుని దానితోనే వాణ్ణి చంపివేశాడు.
24 These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had a name among the three mighty men.
౨౪ఇలాంటి ఘన కార్యాలు చేసిన యెహోయాదా కొడుకైన బెనాయా పేరు ఆ ముగ్గురు బలవంతుల పేర్లలో చేర్చారు.
25 Behold, he was honourable among the thirty, but attained not to the first three: and David set him over his guard.
౨౫ముప్ఫై మంది సైనికుల్లో అతణ్ణి గొప్పవాడిగా ఎంచారు, కానీ పేరు మోసిన ఆ ముగ్గురు వీరులకు సాటి కాలేదు. కానీ దావీదు ఇతణ్ణి అంగ రక్షకులపై అధిపతిగా నియమించాడు.
26 Also the valiant men of the armies were, Asahel the brother of Joab, Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,
౨౬ఆ యోధులు ఎవరంటే యోవాబు తమ్ముడు అశాహేలు, బేత్లెహేము ఊరివాడు దోదో కొడుకైన ఎల్హానాను,
27 Shammoth the Harorite, Helez the Pelonite,
౨౭హరోరీయుడైన షమ్మోతు, పెలోనీయుడైన హేలెస్సు,
28 Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abiezer the Antothite,
౨౮తెకోవీయుడైన ఇక్కేషు కొడుకైన ఈరా, అన్నేతోతీయుడైన అబీయెజెరు,
29 Sibbecai the Hushathite, Ilai the Ahohite,
౨౯హుషాతీయుడైన సిబ్బెకై, అహోహీయుడైన ఈలై,
30 Maharai the Netophathite, Heled the son of Baanah the Netophathite,
౩౦నెటోపాతీయుడైన మహరై, నెటోపాతీయుడైన బయనా కొడుకు హేలెదు,
31 Ithai the son of Ribai of Gibeah, that pertained to the children of Benjamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite,
౩౧బెన్యామీను సంతతికి చెందిన గిబియా ఊరివాడు రీబై కొడుకు ఈతయి, పిరాతోనీయుడు బెనాయా,
32 Hurai of the brooks of Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite,
౩౨గాయషు లోయకు చెందిన హూరై, అర్బాతీయుడైన అబీయేలు,
33 Azmaveth the Baharumite, Eliahba the Shaalbonite,
౩౩బహరూమీయుడు అజ్మావెతు, షయల్బోనీయుడైన ఎల్యాహ్బా,
34 The sons of Hashem the Gizonite, Jonathan the son of Shage the Hararite,
౩౪గిజోనీయుడైన హాషేము కొడుకులూ, హరారీయుడైన షాగే కొడుకైన యోనాతాను,
35 Ahiam the son of Sacar the Hararite, Eliphal the son of Ur,
౩౫హరారీయుడైన శాకారు కొడుకైన అహీయాము, ఊరు కొడుకు ఎలీపాలు,
36 Hepher the Mecherathite, Ahijah the Pelonite,
౩౬మెకేరాతీయుడైన హెపెరు, పెలోనీయుడైన అహీయా,
37 Hezro the Carmelite, Naarai the son of Ezbai,
౩౭కర్మెలీయుడైన హెజ్రో, ఎజ్బయి కొడుకైన నయరై,
38 Joel the brother of Nathan, Mibhar the son of Haggeri,
౩౮నాతాను సోదరుడైన యోవేలు, హగ్రీయుడైన మిబ్హారు,
39 Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Berothite, the armourbearer of Joab the son of Zeruiah,
౩౯అమ్మోనీయుడైన జెలెకు, సెరూయా కొడుకైన యోవాబు ఆయుధాలు మోసేవాడూ బెరోతీయుడూ అయిన నహరై,
40 Ira the Ithrite, Gareb the Ithrite,
౪౦ఇత్రీయుడైన ఈరా, ఇత్రీయుడైన గారేబు,
41 Uriah the Hittite, Zabad the son of Ahlai,
౪౧హిత్తీయుడైన ఊరియా, అహ్లయి కొడుకైన జాబాదు,
42 Adina the son of Shiza the Reubenite, a captain of the Reubenites, and thirty with him,
౪౨రూబేనీయుడైన షీజా కొడుకూ, రూబేనీయులకు నాయకుడూ అయిన అదీనా, అతని తోటి వారైన ముప్ఫై మందీ,
43 Hanan the son of Maachah, and Joshaphat the Mithnite,
౪౩మయకా కొడుకైన హానాను, మిత్నీయుడైన యెహోషాపాతు,
44 Uzzia the Ashterathite, Shama and Jehiel the sons of Hothan the Aroerite,
౪౪ఆష్తెరాతీయుడైన ఉజ్జీయా, అరొయేరీయుడైన హోతాను కొడుకులు షామా యెహీయేలు,
45 Jediael the son of Shimri, and Joha his brother, the Tizite,
౪౫షిమ్రీ కొడుకైన యెదీయవేలు, అతని సోదరుడూ, తిజీయుడూ అయిన యోహా,
46 Eliel the Mahavite, and Jeribai, and Joshaviah, the sons of Elnaam, and Ithmah the Moabite,
౪౬మహవీయుడైన ఎలీయేలు, ఎల్నయము కొడుకులైన యెరీబై యోషవ్యా, మోయాబు వాడు ఇత్మా,
47 Eliel, and Obed, and Jasiel the Mesobaite.
౪౭ఎలీయేలు, ఓబేదు, మెజోబాయా ఊరివాడు యహశీయేలు అనే వాళ్ళు.
