Numbers 26

1 It came about after the plague that Yahweh spoke to Moses and Eleazar son of Aaron the priest. He said,

2 “Count all the community of the people of Israel, from twenty years old and up, by their ancestor's families, all who are able to go to war for Israel.”

Nehmet auf die Kopfzahl der ganzen Gemeinde der Söhne Israels vom zwanzigsten Jahre und aufwärts nach dem Hause ihrer Väter, alle, die im Heer ausziehen in Israel.

3 So Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke to them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho and said,

Und Mose und Eleasar, der Priester, redete mit ihnen in Arboth Moab am Jordan, bei Jericho und sprachen:

4 “Count the people, from twenty years old and up, as Yahweh commanded Moses and the people of Israel, who came out of the land of Egypt.”

Vom zwanzigsten Jahre an und aufwärts, wie Jehovah dem Mose und den Söhnen Israels, die aus Ägyptenland auszogen, geboten hat.

5 Reuben was the firstborn of Israel. From his son Hanok came the clan of the Hanokites. From Pallu came the clan of the Palluites.

Ruben, Israels Erstgeborener: Söhne Rubens waren Chanoch, die Familie der Chanochiten; von Phallu die Familie der Phalluiten;

6 From Hezron came the clan of the Hezronites. From Karmi came the clan of the Karmites.

7 These were the clans of Reuben, who numbered 43,730 men.

Dies sind die Familien der Rubeniten. Ihrer Gemusterten aber waren es dreiundvierzigtausendsiebenhundertdreißig;

8 Eliab was a son of Pallu.

Und die Söhne Phallus Eliab.

9 Eliab's sons were Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. These were the same Dathan and Abiram who followed Korah when they challenged Moses and Aaron and rebelled against Yahweh.

Und die Söhne Eliabs Nemuel und Dathan und Abiram - das waren Dathan und Abiram, Berufene der Gemeinde, die zankten mit Mose und mit Aharon in der Gemeinde Korachs, als sie wider Jehovah zankten.

10 The earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up together with Korah when all his followers died. At that time, fire devoured 250 men, who became a warning sign.

11 But Korah's line did not die out.

13 through Zerah, the clan of the Zerahites, through Shaul, the clan of the Shaulites.

14 These were the clans of Simeon's descendants, who numbered 22,200 men.

Dies sind die Familien der Simeoniten: Zweiundzwanzigtausendzweihundert.

15 The clans of Gad's descendants were these: Through Zephon, the clan of the Zephonites, through Haggi, the clan of the Haggites, through Shuni, the clan of the Shunites,

Die Söhne Gads nach ihren Familien: Von Zephon die Familie der Zephoniten, von Chaggi die Familie der Chaggiten, von Schuni die Familie der Schuniten;

16 through Ozni, the clan of the Oznites, through Eri, the clan of the Erites,

17 through Arod, the clan of the Arodites, through Areli, the clan of the Arelites.

18 These were the clans of Gad's descendants, who numbered 40,500 men.

19 Judah's sons were Er and Onan, but these men died in the land of Canaan.

Die Söhne Judahs: Er und Onan. Und Er und Onan starben im Lande Kanaan.

20 The clans of Judah's other descendants were these: through Shelah, the clan of the Shelanites, through Perez, the clan of the Perezites, and through Zerah, the clan of the Zerahites.

21 The descendants of Perez were these: Through Hezron, the clan of the Hezronites, through Hamul, the clan of the Hamulites.

22 These were the clans of Judah's descendants, who numbered 76,500 men.

Dies sind die Familien Judahs nach ihren Gemusterten: sechsundsiebzigtausendfünfhundert.

23 The clans of Issachar's descendants were these: Through Tola, the clan of the Tolaites, through Puah, the clan of the Puites,

Die Söhne Issaschars nach ihren Familien: Von Thola die Familie der Tholaiten; von Puvah die Familie der Puniten.

24 through Jashub, the clan of the Jashubites, through Shimron, the clan of the Shimronites.

25 These were the clans of Issachar, who numbered 64,300 men.

26 The clans of Zebulun's descendants were these: Through Sered, the clan of the Seredites, through Elon, the clan of the Elonites, through Jahleel, the clan of the Jahleelites.

Die Söhne Sebuluns nach ihren Familien: Von Sared die Familie der Sarditen; von Elon die Familie der Eloniten; von Jachleel die Familie der Jachleeliten;

27 These were the clans of the Zebulunites, who numbered 60,500 men.

Dies sind die Familien der Sebuluniten nach ihren Gemusterten: sechzigtausendfünfhundert.

28 The clans of Joseph's descendants were Manasseh and Ephraim.

Die Söhne Josephs nach ihren Familien sind Menascheh und Ephraim.

29 The descendants of Manasseh were these: through Makir, the clan of the Makirites (Makir was Gilead's father), through Gilead, the clan of the Gileadites.

Die Söhne Menaschehs: Von Machir die Familie der Machiriten. Und Machir zeugte Gilead. Von Gilead die Familie der Gileaditen.

30 Gilead's descendants were these: Through Iezer, the clan of the Iezerites, through Helek, the clan of the Helekites,

31 through Asriel, the clan of the Asrielites, through Shechem, the clan of the Shechemites,

Und Asriel, die Familie der Asrieliten; und Schechem, die Familie der Schichmiten.

32 through Shemida, the clan of the Shemidaites, through Hepher, the clan of the Hepherites.

Und Schemidah, die Familie der Schemidaiten, und Chepher, die Familie der Chephriten.

33 Zelophehad son of Hepher had no sons, but only daughters. The names of his daughters were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milkah, and Tirzah.

34 These were the clans of Manasseh, who numbered 52,700 men.

35 The clans of Ephraim's descendants were these: Through Shuthelah, the clan of the Shuthelahites, through Beker, the clan of the Bekerites, through Tahan, the clan of the Tahanites.

Das sind die Söhne Ephraims nach ihren Familien: Von Schuthelach die Familie der Schuthalchiten; von Becher die Familie der Bachriten; von Thachan die Familie der Thachaniten.

36 The descendants of Shuthelah were, by Eran, the clan of the Eranites.

Und dies sind die Söhne Schuthelachs: Von Eran die Familie der Eraniten.

37 These were the clans of Ephraim's descendants, who numbered 32,500 men. These were Joseph's descendants, counted in each of their clans.

Dies sind die Familien der Söhne Ephraims nach ihren Gemusterten: zweiundreißigtausendfünfhundert. Das sind die Söhne Josephs nach ihren Familien.

38 The clans of Benjamin's descendants were these: Through Bela, the clan of the Belaites, through Ashbel, the clan of the Ashbelites, through Ahiram, the clan of the Ahiramites,

Die Söhne Benjamins nach ihren Familien: Von Bela die Familie der Baliten; von Aschbel die Familie der Aschbeliten; von Achiram die Familie der Achiramiten;

39 through Shephupham, the clan of the Shuphamites, through Hupham, the clan of the Huphamites.

Von Schephupham die Familie der Schuphamiten; von Chupham die Familie der Chuphamiten.

40 Bela's sons were Ard and Naaman. From Ard came the clan of the Ardites, and from Naaman came the clan of the Naamites.

41 These were the clans of Benjamin's descendants. They numbered 45,600 men.

42 The clans of Dan's descendants were, by Shuham, the clans of the Shuhamites. These were the clans of Dan's descendants.

Das sind die Söhne Dans nach ihren Familien: Von Schucham die Familie der Schuchamiten. Dies die Familien Dans nach ihren Familien.

43 All the clans of the Shuhamites numbered 64,400 men.

Alle Familien der Schuchaniten nach ihren Gemusterten waren vierundsechzigtausendvierhundert.

44 The clans of Asher's descendants were these: Through Imnah, the clan of the Imnites, through Ishvi, the clan of the Ishvites, through Beriah, the clan of the Beriites.

Die Söhne Aschers nach ihren Familien sind: Von Jimmah die Familie der Jimniten; von Jischvi die Familie der Jischviten; von Beriah die Familie der Beriiten.

45 The descendants of Beriah were these: Through Heber, the clan of the Heberites, through Malkiel, the clan of the Malkielites.

46 The name of Asher's daughter was Serah.

Und der Name der Tochter Aschers war Serach.

47 These were the clans of Asher's descendants, who numbered 53,400 men.

Dies sind die Familien der Söhne Aschers nach ihren Gemusterten: dreiundfünfzigtausendvierhundert.

48 The clans of Naphtali's descendants were these: Through Jahzeel, the clan of the Jahzeelites, through Guni, the clan of the Gunites,

Die Söhne Naphthalis nach ihren Familien: Von Jachzeel die Familie der Jachzeeliten; von Guni die Familie der Guniten.

49 through Jezer, the clan of the Jezerites, through Shillem, the clan of the Shillemites.

Von Jezer die Familie der Jizriten; von Schillem die Familie der Schillemiten.

50 These were the clans of Naphtali's descendants, who numbered 45,400 men.

Das sind die Familien Naphthalis nach ihren Familien; und ihrer Gemusterten waren es fünfundvierzigtausendvierhundert.

51 This was the complete count of men among the people of Israel: 601,730.

Dies sind die Gemusterten der Söhne Israels sechshunderttausend und tausendsiebenhundertdreißig.

52 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,

Und Jehovah redete zu Mose und sprach:

53 “The land must be divided among these men as an inheritance according to the number of their names.

An diese soll das Land verteilt werden zum Erbe nach der Zahl der Namen.

54 To the larger clans you must give more inheritance, and to the smaller clans you must give less inheritance. To every family you must give an inheritance according to the number of men who were counted.

Dem Vielen werde viel zu seinem Erbe und dem Wenigen wenig zu seinem Erbe. Jeglichem Manne werde sein Erbe gegeben nach dem Verhältnis seiner Gemusterten.

55 However, the land must be divided by random lots. They must inherit the land as it will be divided among their ancestors' tribes.

Man verteile jedoch das Land durch das Los; nach den Namen der Stämme ihrer Väter sollen sie es erben.

56 Their inheritance must be divided among the larger and the smaller clans, distributed to them by random lot.”

Nach dem Los soll man sein Erbe verteilen, zwischen viel oder wenig.

57 The Levite clans, counted clan by clan, were these: Through Gershon, the clan of the Gershonites, through Kohath, the clan of the Kohathites, through Merari, the clan of the Merarites.

Und das sind die gemusterten der Leviten nach ihren Familien: Von Gerschon die Familie der Gerschoniten; von Kohath die Familie der Kohathiten; von Merari die Familie der Merariten.

58 The clans of Levi were these: the clan of the Libnites, the clan of the Hebronites, the clan of the Mahlites, the clan of the Mushites, and the clan of the Korahites. Kohath was the Amram's ancestor.

Dies sind die Familien Levis, die Familien der Libniten, der Familien der Chebroniten, die Familie der Machliten, die Familie der Muschiten, die Familie der Korchiten, und Kohath zeugte den Amram.

59 The name of Amram's wife was Jochebed, a descendant of Levi, who was born to Levites in Egypt. She bore to Amram their children, who were Aaron, Moses, and Miriam their sister.

Und der Name von Amrams Weib war Jochebet, eine Tochter Levis, die dem Levi in Ägypten geboren ward. Und sie gebar dem Amram den Aharon und den Mose und Mirjam, ihre Schwester.

60 To Aaron were born Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

61 Nadab and Abihu died when they offered before Yahweh unacceptable fire.

Und Nadab und Abihu waren gestorben, da sie fremdes Feuer vor Jehovah darbrachten.

62 The males who were counted among them numbered twenty-three thousand, all males one month old and up. But they were not counted among Israel's descendants because no inheritance was given to them among the people of Israel.

Und ihrer Gemusterten waren es dreiundzwanzigtausend, alles Männliche von einem Monat und aufwärts: denn sie wurden nicht inmitten der Söhne Israels gemustert, weil ihnen kein Erbe inmitten der Söhne Israels gegeben ward.

63 These are the ones who were counted by Moses and Eleazar the priest. They counted the people of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.

Dies sind die von Mose und dem Priester Eleasar Gemusterten, da sie die Söhne Israels in Arboth Moab am Jordan, bei Jericho, musterten.

64 But among these there was no man who had been counted by Moses and Aaron the priest when the descendants of Israel were counted in the wilderness of Sinai.

Und unter ihnen war kein Mann, der von Mose und Aharon, dem Priester, Gemusterten, da sie die Söhne Israels in der Wüste Sinai musterten.

65 For Yahweh had said that all of those people would certainly die in the wilderness. There was not a man left among them, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.

Denn Jehovah hatte von ihnen gesprochen, daß sie in der Wüste des Todes sterben sollten. Und kein Mann blieb von ihnen übrig außer Kaleb, der Sohn Jephunnehs und Joschua, der Sohn Nuns.
