< Matthew 12 >

1 At that time Jesus went on the Sabbath day through the grainfields. His disciples were hungry and began to pluck heads of grain and eat them.
Tia paht tukun ma inge, Jesus el fahsryak in sie ima in wheat ke len Sabbath. Mwet tumal lutlut elos masrinsral, ouinge elos mutawauk in kunesla wheat uh ac kang.
2 But when the Pharisees saw that, they said to Jesus, “See, your disciples do what is unlawful to do on the Sabbath.”
Ke mwet Pharisee liye ma inge, elos fahk nu sin Jesus, “Liye, mwet tumom lutlut elos lain Ma Sap lasr ke elos oru ma inge ke len Sabbath!”
3 But Jesus said to them, “Have you never read what David did, when he was hungry, and the men who were with him?
4 He went into the house of God and ate the bread of the presence, which was unlawful for him to eat and unlawful for those who were with him, but lawful only for the priests.
El tuh utyak nu in lohm sin God, na el, ac mwet lal, elos mongo ke bread ma kisakinyukyang nu sin God, finne lain Ma Sap elos in mongo kac — mwet tol mukena pa lela nu se in kang bread inge.

6 But I say to you that one greater than the temple is here.
Nga fahk nu suwos lah oasr sie inge su yohk liki Tempul.
7 If you had known what this meant, 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the guiltless.
Ma Simusla fahk mu, ‘Pakoten pa nga lungsik, ac tia mwe kisa.’ Kowos funu etu kalmen kas inge, kowos lukun tiana sang mwatan mwet su wangin ma koluk la;

9 Then Jesus left from there and went into their synagogue.
Jesus el fahsr liki acn sac ac som nu in sie iwen lolngok.
10 Behold, there was a man who had a withered hand. The Pharisees asked Jesus, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?” so that they might accuse him of sinning.
Na elos siyuk sin Jesus, “Ya ac lain Ma Sap lal Moses in akkeyala mas ke len Sabbath?”
11 Jesus said to them, “What man would there be among you, who, if he had just one sheep, and if this sheep fell into a deep hole on the Sabbath, would not grasp hold of it and lift it out?
Jesus el topuk ac fahk nu selos, “Ac fuka fin soko sheep nutin sie suwos putatyang nu in sie luf na loal ke len Sabbath? Ya el ac tia som sraklalak liki luf sac?
12 How much more valuable, then, is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”
Arulana yohk sripen sie mwet liki soko sheep! Ke ma inge, Ma Sap uh lela tuh kut in kasru mwet ke len Sabbath.”
13 Then Jesus said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and it was restored to health, just like the other hand.
14 But the Pharisees went out and plotted against him. They were seeking how they might put him to death.
Na mwet Pharisee elos som ac pwapa in unilya Jesus.
15 As Jesus perceived this, he withdrew from there. Many people followed him, and he healed them all.

22 Then someone blind and mute, possessed by a demon, was brought to Jesus. He healed him, with the result that the mute man spoke and saw.
Na kutu mwet elos use sie mwet kun nu yurin Jesus su tia pac ku in kaskas mweyen oasr sie ngun fohkfok in el. Jesus el akkeyala mwet sac, na el ku in kaskas ac liye.
23 All the crowds were amazed and said, “Can this man be the Son of David?”
U lulap sac arulana fwefela ke ma Jesus el oru.
24 But when the Pharisees heard of this miracle, they said, “This man does not cast out demons except by Beelzebul, the prince of the demons.”
Ke mwet Pharisee elos lohng ma inge, elos fahk, “El lusla ngun fohkfok inge ke sripen Beelzebul, leum lun ngun fohkfok uh, el sang ku nu sel in oru.”
25 But Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is made desolate, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.
Jesus el etu ma elos nunku, ke ma inge el fahk nu selos, “Kutena facl lulap su sifacna amei inmasrlolos, ac fah tia oan paht. Ac kutena acn, ku sou, ma tukeni alein, ac fah musalla.

31 Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.

36 I say to you that in the day of judgment people will give an account for every idle word they will have said.

38 Then certain scribes and Pharisees answered Jesus and said, “Teacher, we wish to see a sign from you.”
Na kutu sin mwet luti ke Ma Sap ac kutu mwet Pharisee elos tuku ac fahk, “Mwet Luti, kut ke liye kom in oru sie mwe akul lulap sin God me.”
39 But Jesus answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign. But no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah the prophet.
Na Jesus el fahk, “Fuka lupan koluk ac pilesru God lun mwet in pacl inge uh! Ya kowos ke liye sie mwe akul lulap? Mo! Pwayena mwe akul kowos ac liye pa mwe akul su tuh sikyak nu sel mwet palu Jonah.
