2 Kings 12
1 In the seventh year of Jehu, the reign of Joash began; he reigned for forty years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Zibiah, of Beersheba.
১ইস্রায়েলত যেহূৰ ৰাজত্বৰ সপ্তম বছৰত যোৱাচ ৰজা হৈছিল আৰু তেওঁ যিৰূচালেমত চল্লিশ বছৰ কাল ৰাজত্ব কৰিছিল। তেওঁৰ মাকৰ নাম আছিল চিবিয়া; তেওঁ বেৰ-চেবা নগৰৰ নিবাসী আছিল।
2 Joash did what was right in the eyes of Yahweh all the time, because Jehoiada the priest was instructing him.
২পুৰোহিত যিহোয়াদাই পৰামর্শ দি থকাৰ কাৰণে যোৱাচে সকলো সময়তে যিহোৱাৰ দৃষ্টিত যি ন্যায় তাকে কৰিছিল।
3 But the high places were not taken away. The people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.
৩কিন্তু ওখ ঠাইৰ প্রার্থনাৰ মঠবোৰ ধ্বংস কৰা নাছিল; লোকসকলে তেতিয়াও সেই ঠাইবোৰত বলিদান কৰিছিল আৰু ধূপ জ্বলাইছিল।
4 Joash said to the priests, “All the money that is brought in as sacred offerings into the house of Yahweh, that money for which each person is assessed—whether it is the money collected in the census, or the money received from personal vows, or the money brought in by people motivated by Yahweh in their hearts to give—
৪যোৱাচে পুৰোহিতসকলক ক’লে, “যিহোৱাৰ গৃহলৈ বিশেষ উদ্দেশ্যৰ কাৰণে পবিত্র দান হিচাবে ধন অনা হওঁক; গণিত লোকৰ পৰা মন্দিৰৰ কৰ, যিহোৱাৰ দ্বাৰা উৎসাহিত হৈ লোকসকলে মন্দিৰৰ কাৰণে নিজ মনোবাঞ্ছাৰে অনা দান-বৰঙনি, সেই সকলো লৈ আপোনালোকে জমা কৰিব।
5 the priests should receive the money from one of their treasurers and repair whatever damage is found in the temple.”
৫পাছত পুৰোহিতসকলে এই সকলো ধন তেওঁলোকৰ কৰদাতাসকলৰ পৰা লৈ প্রয়োজনৰ সময়ত মন্দিৰ মেৰামতিৰ কামত সেই ধন ব্যৱহাৰ কৰিব।”
6 But by the twenty-third year of King Joash, the priests had not repaired anything in the temple.
৬কিন্তু যোৱাচ ৰজাৰ ৰাজত্বৰ তেইশ বছৰৰ সময়ত দেখা গ’ল পুৰোহিতসকলে মন্দিৰ মেৰামতিৰ একো কামেই কৰা নাছিল।
7 Then King Joash called for Jehoiada the priest and for the other priests; he said to them, “Why have you not repaired anything in the temple? Now take no more money from your taxpayers, but take what has been collected for repairs of the temple and give it to those who can make the repairs.”
৭সেয়ে, যোৱাচ ৰজাই যিহোয়াদা পুৰোহিতক আৰু আন আন পুৰোহিতসকলক মাতি সুধিলে, “আপোনালোকে কিয় মন্দিৰৰ একোৱেই মেৰামতি কৰা নাই? এই হেতুকে, এতিয়াৰ পৰা আপোনালোকে পুনৰ আপোনালোকৰ কৰদাতাসকলৰ পৰা ধন নল’ব, বৰং মন্দিৰ মেৰামতিৰ অর্থে যিখিনি সংগ্রহ কৰা হ’ল সেইখিনি লৈ যেয়ে মেৰামতি কৰিব পাৰে সেইসকলক দি দিয়ক।”
8 So the priests consented to take no more money from the people and not repair the temple themselves.
৮তেতিয়া পুৰোহিতসকল সন্মত হ’ল যে, তেওঁলোকে লোকসকলৰ পৰা পুনৰ ধন নল’ব আৰু নিজে মন্দিৰ মেৰামতি কাম নকৰিব।
9 Instead, Jehoiada the priest took a chest, bored a hole in its lid, and set it beside the altar, on the right side as one comes into the house of Yahweh. The priests who were guarding the temple entrance put into it all the money that was brought to the house of Yahweh.
৯পুৰোহিত যিহোয়াদাই এটা চন্দুক লৈ তাৰ ঢাকনিত এটা বিন্ধা কৰিলে আৰু সেইটো যজ্ঞ-বেদীৰ ওচৰত যিহোৱাৰ গৃহলৈ সোমোৱা ঠাইৰ সোঁফালে থলে। যি পুৰোহিতসকলে মন্দিৰৰ প্রৱেশদ্বাৰত পহৰা দিয়ে, তেওঁলোকে যিহোৱাৰ গৃহলৈ অনা সকলো ধন সেই চন্দুকত ৰাখিছিল।
10 Whenever they saw that there was much money in the chest, the king's scribe and the high priest would come and put the money in bags and then count it, the money found in the temple of Yahweh.
১০এইভাৱে তেওঁলোকে যেতিয়া দেখিছিল যে সেই চন্দুকত বহুত ধন জমা হৈছিল, তেতিয়া ৰজাৰ সচিব আৰু প্ৰধান পুৰোহিতে আহি যিহোৱাৰ গৃহলৈ অনা সকলো ধন হিচাপ কৰি বস্তাবোৰত বান্ধি থৈছিল।
11 They gave the money that was weighed out into the hands of men who took care of the temple of Yahweh. They paid it out to the carpenters and the builders who worked on the temple of Yahweh,
১১পাছত যিমান ধন উঠে তাক ওজন কৰি যিহোৱাৰ মন্দিৰ তদাৰককাৰী সকলৰ হাতত দিছিল। তেওঁলোকে সেই ধন যিহোৱাৰ মন্দিৰ মেৰামতি কৰা লোকসকলক অর্থাৎ বাঢ়ৈ, গৃহ নির্মাণ কৰা বনুৱাসকলক দিছিল।
12 and to the masons and the stonecutters, for buying timber and cutting stone to repair the temple of Yahweh, and for all that was needed to be paid to repair it.
১২ৰাজমিস্ত্ৰী ও শিল ভঙা লোকসকলক দিছিল; তাৰ উপৰিও, যিহোৱাৰ মন্দিৰ মেৰামতিৰ কাৰণে কাঠ কিনা, শিল ভঙা আৰু প্রয়োজনীয় সকলো সামগ্রীৰ কাৰণে খৰচ কৰিছিল।
13 But the money that was brought into the house of Yahweh did not pay to make for it any silver cups, lamp trimmers, basins, trumpets, or any gold or silver furnishing.
১৩যিহোৱাৰ গৃহলৈ যি ধন অনা হৈছিল, সেই ধনেৰে ৰূপৰ পিয়লা, শলিতা পৰিস্কাৰ কৰা চেপেনা, চৰিয়া, শিঙা বা যিহোৱাৰ গৃহৰ সোণ ৰূপৰ আন কোনো পাত্ৰ তৈয়াৰ কৰা নাছিল।
14 They gave this money to those who did the work of repairing the house of Yahweh.
১৪কিন্তু সেই ধন কেৱল তদাৰককাৰীসকলে যিহোৱাৰ গৃহ মেৰামতি কৰা বনুৱাসকলকহে দিছিল।
15 In addition, they did not require the money paid for repairs to be accounted for by the men who received it and paid it to the workmen, because these men were honest.
১৫তদাৰককাৰীসকলৰ পৰা তেওঁলোকে কোনো হিচাপ লোৱাৰ আৱশ্যকতা নাছিল, কাৰণ এই লোকসকল সৎ আছিল।
16 But the money for the guilt offerings and the money for the sin offerings was not brought into the temple of Yahweh, because it belonged to the priests.
১৬কিন্তু যিহোৱাৰ মন্দিৰলৈ দোষাৰ্থক আৰু পাপাৰ্থক বলিৰ ধন অনা হোৱা নাছিল; সেইবোৰ পুৰোহিতসকলে পাইছিল।
17 Then Hazael king of Aram attacked and fought against Gath, and took it. Hazael then turned to attack Jerusalem.
১৭সেই কালত অৰামৰ ৰজা হজায়েলে গাত নগৰৰ বিৰুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ কৰি তাক অধিকাৰ কৰিলে; তাৰ পাছত তেওঁ যিৰূচালেম আক্রমণ কৰিবলৈ আগবাঢ়িল।
18 Joash king of Judah took all the things that Jehoshaphat and Jehoram and Ahaziah, his fathers, kings of Judah, had set apart, and what he had set apart, and all the gold that was found in the storerooms of the houses of Yahweh and of the king and he sent them to Hazael king of Aram. Then Hazael went away from Jerusalem.
১৮তেতিয়া যিহূদাৰ ৰজা যোৱাচে তেওঁৰ পিতৃ আৰু পূর্বপুৰুষসকলে অর্থাৎ যিহূদাৰ পূর্বৰ ৰজা যিহোচাফট, যিহোৰাম আৰু অহজিয়াই দিয়া যিহোৱাৰ উদ্দেশ্যে পবিত্ৰ কৰা আৰু নিজৰো সকলো পবিত্র বস্তুবোৰ অৰামৰ ৰজা হজায়েলৰ ওচৰলৈ পঠাই দিলে। তাৰ লগতে, যিহোৱাৰ গৃহ আৰু ৰাজগৃহৰ ভঁৰালবোৰত থকা সকলো সোণও পঠাই দিলে। হজায়েলে তেতিয়া যিৰূচালেম এৰি গুচি গ’ল।
19 As for the other matters concerning Joash, all that he did, are they not written in the book of the events of the kings of Judah?
১৯যোৱাচৰ অন্যান্য সকলো কার্যৰ বৃত্তান্ত “যিহূদাৰ ৰজাসকলৰ ইতিহাস” নামৰ পুস্তকখনত জানো লিখা নাই?
20 His servants arose and plotted together; they attacked Joash in Beth Millo, on the way that goes down to Silla.
২০পাছত তেওঁৰ দাসবোৰে লগ হৈ তেওঁৰ বিৰুদ্ধে ষড়যন্ত্র কৰি চিল্লালৈ নামি যোৱা পথত বৈৎ-মিল্লোত তেওঁক আক্রমণ কৰি বধ কৰিলে।
21 Jozabad son of Shimeath, and Jehozabad son of Shomer, his servants, attacked him, and he died. They buried Joash with his ancestors in the city of David, and Amaziah, his son, became king in his place.
২১চিমিয়তৰ পুতেক যোজাখৰ আৰু চোমেৰৰ পুতেক যিহোজাবদ, এই দুজন দাসে তেওঁক আক্রমণ কৰি বধ কৰিছিল। তেওঁলোকে যোৱাচক দায়ুদৰ নগৰত তেওঁৰ পূর্বপুৰুষসকলৰ লগত মৈদাম দিলে। তেওঁৰ পুত্ৰ অমচিয়া তেওঁৰ পদত ৰজা হ’ল।
