1 These were Israel's sons: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun,
And the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,
2 Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

3 Judah's sons were Er, Onan, and Shelah, who were born to him by Shua's daughter, a Canaanite woman. Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of Yahweh, and Yahweh killed him.
The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, and Shelah. These three were born to him from the daughter of Shua, the Canaanite. But Er, the firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of the Lord, and so he killed him.
4 Tamar, his daughter-in-law, bore him Perez and Zerah. Judah had five sons.
Now Tamar, his daughter-in-law, bore to him Perez and Zerah. Therefore, all the sons of Judah were five.
5 Perez's sons were Hezron and Hamul.
And the sons of Perez: Hezron and Hamul.
6 Zerah's sons were Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Kalkol, and Darda, five in all.
Also, the sons of Zerah: Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, as well as Calcol and Dara, five altogether.
7 Karmi's son was Achar, who brought trouble on Israel when he stole what was reserved for God.
The sons of Carmi: Achar, who disturbed Israel and sinned by the theft of what was anathema.
8 Ethan's son was Azariah.
The sons of Ethan: Azariah.
9 Hezron's sons were Jerahmeel, Ram, and Caleb.
And the sons of Hezron who were born to him: Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.
10 Ram became the father of Amminadab, and Amminadab became the father of Nahshon, a leader among Judah's descendants.
Then Ram conceived Amminadab. And Amminadab conceived Nahshon, a leader of the sons of Judah.
11 Nahshon became the father of Salmon, and Salmon became the father of Boaz.
Also, Nahshon conceived Salma, from whom Boaz rose up.
12 Boaz became the father of Obed, and Obed became the father of Jesse.
Truly, Boaz conceived Obed, who also himself conceived Jesse.
13 Jesse became the father of his firstborn Eliab, Abinadab the second, Shimea the third,
Now Jesse conceived the firstborn Eliab, the second Abinadab, the third Shammah,
14 Nethanel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,
the fourth Nethanel, the fifth Raddai,
15 Ozem the sixth, and David the seventh.
the sixth Ozem, the seventh David.
16 Their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. The sons of Zeruiah were Abishai, Joab, and Asahel, three of them.

17 Abigail bore Amasa, whose father was Jether the Ishmaelite.
And Abigail conceived Amasa, whose father was Jether, the Ishmaelite.
18 Caleb son of Hezron became the father of children by Azubah, his wife, and by Jerioth. His sons were Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon.
Truly, Caleb, the son of Hezron, took a wife named Azubah, of whom he conceived Jerioth. And her sons were Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.
19 Azubah died, and then Caleb married Ephrath, who bore him Hur.
And when Azubah had died, Caleb took as wife Ephratha, who bore to him Hur.
20 Hur became the father of Uri, and Uri became the father of Bezalel.
Now Hur conceived Uri. And Uri conceived Bezalel.
21 Later Hezron (when he was sixty years old) married the daughter of Makir, the father of Gilead. She bore him Segub.
And afterwards, Hezron entered to the daughter of Machir, father of Gilead. And he took her when he was sixty years old. And she bore to him Segub.
22 Segub became the father of Jair, who controlled twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead.
And then Segub conceived Jair, and he possessed twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead.
23 Geshur and Aram took Havvoth Jair and Kenath, as well as sixty surrounding towns. All these inhabitants were descendants of Makir, the father of Gilead.
And he seized Geshur and Aram, towns of Jair, and Kenath and its villages, sixty cities. All these were sons of Machir, father of Gilead.
24 After the death of Hezron, Caleb slept with Ephrathah, the wife of his father Hezron. She bore him Ashhur, the father of Tekoa.
Then, when Hezron had died, Caleb entered to Ephratha. Also, Hezron had as wife Abia, who bore to him Ashhur, the father of Tekoa.
25 The sons of Jerahmeel, the firstborn of Hezron, were Ram the firstborn, Bunah, Oren, Ozem, and Ahijah.
Now sons were born to Jerahmeel, the firstborn of Hezron: Ram, his firstborn, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, and Ahijah.
26 Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name was Atarah. She was the mother of Onam.
Jerahmeel also married another wife, named Atarah, who was the mother of Onam.
27 The sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerahmeel, were Maaz, Jamin, and Eker.
Then too, the sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerahmeel, were Maaz, Jamin, and Eker.
28 The sons of Onam were Shammai and Jada. The sons of Shammai were Nadab and Abishur.
And Onam had sons: Shammai and Jada. And the sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur.
29 The name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she bore him Ahban and Molid.
Truly, the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, who bore to him Ahban and Molid.
30 The sons of Nadab were Seled and Appaim, but Seled died without children.
Now the sons of Nadab were Seled and Appaim. And Seled died without children.
31 The son of Appaim was Ishi. The son of Ishi was Sheshan. The son of Sheshan was Ahlai.
Truly, the son of Appaim was Ishi. And Ishi conceived Sheshan. Then Sheshan conceived Ahlai.
32 The sons of Jada, the brother of Shammai, were Jether and Jonathan. Jether died without children.
But the sons of Jada, the brother of Shammai, were Jether and Jonathan. Then Jether also died without children.
33 The sons of Jonathan were Peleth and Zaza. These were the descendants of Jerahmeel.
And Jonathan conceived Peleth and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.
34 Now Sheshan had no sons, only daughters. Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha.
Now Sheshan did not have sons, but only daughters, and an Egyptian servant named Jarha.
35 Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant as his wife. She bore him Attai.
And so he gave to him his daughter as wife, who bore to him Attai.
36 Attai became the father of Nathan, and Nathan became the father of Zabad.
Then Attai conceived Nathan, and Nathan conceived Zabad.
37 Zabad became the father of Ephlal, and Ephlal became the father of Obed.
Also, Zabad conceived Ephlal, and Ephlal conceived Obed.
38 Obed became the father of Jehu, and Jehu became the father of Azariah.
Obed conceived Jehu; Jehu conceived Azariah.
39 Azariah became the father of Helez, and Helez became the father of Eleasah.
Azariah conceived Helez, and Helez conceived Eleasah.
40 Eleasah became the father of Sismai, and Sismai became the father of Shallum.
Eleasah conceived Sismai; Sismai conceived Shallum.
41 Shallum became the father of Jekamiah, and Jekamiah became the father of Elishama.
Shallum conceived Jekamiah; then Jekamiah conceived Elishama.
42 The sons of Caleb, the brother of Jerahmeel, were Mesha his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph. His second son, Mareshah, was the father of Hebron.
And the sons of Caleb, the brother of Jerahmeel, were Mesha, his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph, and the sons of Mesha, the father of Hebron.
43 The sons of Hebron were Korah, Tappuah, Rekem, and Shema.
Now the sons of Hebron were Korah, and Tapuah, and Rekem, and Shema.
44 Shema became the father of Raham, the father of Jorkeam. Rekem became the father of Shammai.
Then Shema conceived Raham, the father of Jorkeam. And Rekem conceived Shammai.
45 The son of Shammai was Maon, and Maon was the father of Beth Zur.
The son of Shammai was Maon, and Maon was the father of Bethzur.
46 Ephah, Caleb's concubine, bore Haran, Moza, and Gazez. Haran became the father of Gazez.
Now Ephah, the concubine of Caleb, bore Haran, and Moza, and Gazez. And Haran conceived Gazez.
47 The sons of Jahdai were Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah, and Shaaph.
And the sons of Jahdai: Regem, and Jotham, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.
48 Maakah, Caleb's concubine, bore Sheber and Tirhanah.
And Maacah, the concubine of Caleb, bore Sheber and Tirhanah.
49 She also bore Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Makbenah and the father of Gibea. The daughter of Caleb was Aksah. These were the descendants of Caleb.
Then Shaaph, the father of Madmannah, conceived Sheva, the father of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea. Truly, the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.
50 These were the sons of Hur, his firstborn by Ephrathah: Shobal the father of Kiriath Jearim,
These were the sons of Caleb, the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratha: Shobal, the father of Kiriath-jearim;
51 Salma the father of Bethlehem, and Hareph the father of Beth Gader.
Salma, the father of Bethlehem; Hareph, the father of Bethgader.
52 Shobal the father of Kiriath Jearim had descendants: Haroeh, half of the Manahathites,
Now there were sons for Shobal, the father of Kiriath-jearim, who saw half the places of rest.
53 and the clans of Kiriath Jearim: the Ithrites, Puthites, Shumathites, and Mishraites. The Zorathites and Eshtaolites descended from these.
And from the kindred of Kiriath-jearim: the Ithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites. From these, the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites went forth.
54 The clans of Salma were the following: Bethlehem, the Netophathites, Atroth Beth Joab, and half of the Manahathites—the Zorites,
The sons of Salma: Bethlehem, and the Netophathites, the crowns of the house of Joab, and half the places of rest of the Zorathites,
55 the clans of the scribes who lived at Jabez: the Tirathites, Shimeathites, and Sucathites. These were the Kenites who descended from Hammath, the ancestor of the Rekabites.
as well as the families of the scribes living in Jabesh, those singing and making music, and those dwelling in tents. These are the Kenites, who went forth from Calor, the father of the house of Rechab.
