Revelation 2
1 Unto the messenger of the congregacion of Ephesus wryte: These thynges sayth he that holdeth the vii. starres in his right honde and walketh in the myddes of the vii. golden candlestyckes
“Escreva isto para o anjo da igreja de Éfeso: Esta é a mensagem que aquele que segura as setes estrelas em sua mão direita diz, aquele que caminha entre os sete candelabros de ouro:
2 I knowe thy workes and thy labour and thy pacience and howe thou cannest not forbeare the which are evyll: and examinedst them which saye they are Apostles and are not: and hast founde them lyars
Eu sei o que vocês realizaram por meio do seu árduo trabalho e de sua perseverança. Eu sei que vocês não suportam pessoas más e sei como investigaram aqueles que afirmavam ser apóstolos, mas que, na verdade, não são e, assim, descobriram que eles não passavam de impostores.
3 and dydest wasshe thy self. And hast pacience: and for my names sake hast labored and hast not faynted.
Eu sei a respeito de sua paciência e o que suportaram em meu nome e que, mesmo assim, não desistiram.
4 Neverthelesse I have sumwhat agaynst the for thou haste lefte thy fyrst love.
Mas eu tenho algo contra vocês: é que vocês abandonaram o seu primeiro amor.
5 Remember therfore from whence thou art fallen and repent and do the fyrst workes. Or elles I wyll come vnto the shortly and will remove thy candlestyke out of his place excepte thou repent.
Então, lembrem-se de como foi profunda a sua queda. Arrependam-se dos seus pecados e voltem a fazer como no princípio. Caso contrário, virei até vocês e irei retirar o seu candelabro de onde ele se encontra, a menos que vocês se arrependam.
6 But this thou haste because thou hatest ye dedes of the Nicolaitans which dedes I also hate.
No entanto, há algo que vocês têm a seu favor: vocês odeiam as atitudes dos nicolaítas, exatamente como eu.
7 Lett him yt hath eares heare what ye sprete sayth vnto the congregacions. To him that overcometh will I geve to eate of the tree of lyfe which is in the myddes of ye paradice of god.
Se vocês têm ouvidos, escutem o que o Espírito está dizendo para as igrejas. Eu darei, para aqueles que são vitoriosos, o privilégio de comer o fruto da árvore da vida, que está no Paraíso de Deus.
8 And vnto the angell of the congregacion of Smyrna wryte: These thynges sayth he that is fyrst and the laste which was deed and is alive.
Escreva isto para o anjo da igreja de Esmirna: Esta é a mensagem que o Primeiro e o Último diz, aquele que estava morto e que voltou à vida:
9 I knowe thy workes and tribulacion and poverte but thou art ryche: And I knowe the blaspemy of them whiche call them selves Iewes and are not: but are the congregacio of sathan.
Eu sei as aflições pelas quais vocês estão passando e sei como são pobres; mas, na verdade, vocês são ricos. E também tenho consciência do abuso que sofrem por parte daqueles que dizem ser judeus, mas que não são, pois pertencem à sinagoga de Satanás.
10 Feare none of thoo thynges which thou shalt soffre. Beholde the devyll shall caste of you into preson to tempte you and ye shall have tribulacion. x. dayes. Be faythfull vnto the deeth and I will geve the a croune of lyfe.
Não temam o sofrimento pelo qual irão passar. Sim, o diabo irá jogar alguns de vocês na cadeia para testá-los. E vocês também serão perseguidos por dez dias. Apenas permaneçam firmes, mesmo que isso signifique a morte, e eu lhes darei a coroa da vida!
11 Let him that hath ears heare what the sprete sayth to the congregacions: He that overcometh shall not be hurte of the seconde deeth.
Se vocês têm ouvidos, escutem o que o Espírito está dizendo para as igrejas. A segunda morte não alcançará aqueles que saírem vitoriosos.
12 And to the messenger of the congregacion in Pergamos wryte: This sayth he which hath ye sharpe swearde with two edges.
Escreva isto para o anjo da igreja de Pérgamo: Esta é a mensagem que aquele que segura a espada afiada de corte duplo diz:
13 I knowe thy workes and where thow dwellest evyn where Sathans seat ys and thou kepest my name and hast not denyed my fayth. And in my dayes Antipas was a faythfull witnes of myne which was slayne amonge you where sathan dwelleth.
Eu sei que vocês estão vivendo onde Satanás tem o seu trono e que, ainda assim, vocês permaneceram fiéis a mim. Vocês não renunciaram a sua fé em mim, mesmo quando a minha fiel testemunha, Antipas, foi morto, aí em Pérgamo, onde Satanás habita.
14 But I have a fewe thynges agaynst the: yt thou hast there they that mayntayne the doctryne of Balam which taught in balake to put occasion of syn before the chylderne of Israhell that they shulde eate of meate dedicat vnto ydoles and to commyt fornicacion.
Mas, eu tenho algumas coisas contra vocês: há alguns entre vocês que seguem o ensinamento de Balaão, que ensinou Balaque a armar ciladas contra os filhos de Israel para comerem alimentos oferecidos aos ídolos e a cometerem imoralidades.
15 Even so hast thou them that mayntayne the doctryne of the Nicolaytans which thynge I hate.
Da mesma maneira, há entre vocês também alguns que seguem o ensinamento dos nicolaítas.
16 But be converted or elles I will come vnto the shortly and will fyght agaynste the with thes wearde of my mouth
Então, arrependam-se dos seus pecados, ou logo irei até vocês e lutarei contra eles, usando a espada da minha boca.
17 Lett him that hath eares heare what the sprete sayth vnto the congregacios: To him that overcommeth will I geve to eate manna that is hyd and will geve him a whyte stone and in the stone a newe name wrytten which no ma knoweth savinge he that receaveth it.
Se vocês têm ouvidos, escutem o que o Espírito está dizendo para as igrejas. Eu oferecerei o maná escondido para aqueles que são vitoriosos. E também darei a cada um deles uma pedra branca, com um novo nome escrito nela, que ninguém conhece, a não ser aquele que a receber.
18 And vnto the messenger of the congregacion of Theatira write: This sayth the sonne of god which hath his eyes lyke vnto a flame of fyre whose fete are like brasse:
Escreva isto para o anjo da igreja de Tiatira: Esta é a mensagem que o Filho de Deus diz, aquele que tem olhos que brilham como fogo e pés que parecem feitos de cobre polido.
19 I knowe thy workes and thy love service and fayth and thy paciece and thy dedes which are mo at the last then at the fyrste.
Eu sei o que vocês estão fazendo. Conheço bem o seu amor, a sua lealdade, o seu trabalho e a sua perseverança. E também sei que vocês estão fazendo ainda mais agora do que quando começaram a crer.
20 Notwitstondinge I have a feawe thynges agaynst the that thou sofferest that woman Iesabell which called her sylfe a prophetes to teache and to deceave my servauntes to make them commyt fornicacion and to eate meates offered vppe vnto ydoles.
Mas, eu tenho algo contra vocês: é que estão permitindo que a mulher que se chama Jezabel, que se diz profetisa, ensine os meus seguidores, levando-os a cometer atos de imoralidade sexual e a comer alimentos oferecidos como sacrifício a ídolos.
21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornicacion and she repented not.
Eu dei a ela tempo para que se arrependesse dos pecados sexuais que ela comete, mas ela não quer se arrepender de nada.
22 Beholde I will caste her into a beed and them yt commyt fornicacion wt her into gret adversite excepte they tourne fro their deades.
Então, irei jogá-la em uma cama, junto com aqueles que cometem adultério com ela, e eles irão sofrer terrivelmente, a menos que se arrependam do que fizeram em companhia dela.
23 And I will kyll her children with deeth. And all the congregacions shall knowe that I am he which searcheth ye reynes and hertes. And I will geve vnto evere one of you accordynge vnto youre workes.
Eu condenarei os filhos dela à morte. Então, todas as igrejas saberão que eu sou aquele que analisa tanto os pensamentos quanto os motivos. Eu pagarei a cada um de vocês de acordo com o que tiverem feito.
24 Vnto you I saye and vnto other of them of Thiatyra as many as have not this lerninge and which have not knowen the depnes of Satha (as they saye) I will put apo you none other burthe
Para o restante de vocês aí, em Tiatira, que não segue esse ensinamento e que não aprendeu o que eles chamam de ‘coisas profundas de Satanás’, eu não colocarei sobre os seus ombros qualquer outra carga. Eu lhes digo:
25 but yt which ye have alreddy. Holde fast tyll I come
‘Guardem bem o que vocês têm até que eu volte.’
26 and whosoever overcometh and kepeth my workes vnto the ende to hym will I geve power over nacios
Eu darei autoridade sobre as nações àqueles que saírem vitoriosos e aos que fizerem até o final o que eu digo.
27 and he shall rule them with a rodde of yron: and as the vessels of a potter shall he breake them to shevers. Eve as I receaved of my father
Eles irão governar as nações com um bastão de ferro, quebrando-as em pedaços como se fossem potes de barro. Assim como eu também recebi autoridade do meu Pai,
28 eue so will I geve him ye mornynge starre.
eu lhes darei a estrela da manhã.
29 Let him yt hath eares heare what the sprete sayth to the congregacions.
Se vocês têm ouvidos, escutem o que o Espírito está dizendo às igrejas.”
