Revelation 1
1 The reuelacion of Iesus Christe which god gave vnto him for to shewe vnto his servauntes thinges which muste shortly come to passe. And he sent and shewed by his angell vnto his servaunt Ihon
Detta är en uppenbarelse från Jesus Kristus, en som Gud gav honom för att visa sina tjänare, vad som snart skall ske. Och medelst ett budskap genom sin ängel gav han det till känna för sin tjänare Johannes,
2 which bare recorde of the worde of god and of the testimony of Iesus Christe and of all thinges yt he sawe.
som här vittnar och frambär Guds ord och Jesu Kristi vittnesbörd, allt vad han själv har sett.
3 Happy is he that redith and they that heare the wordes of the prophesy and kepe thoo thinges which are written therin. For the tyme is at honde.
Salig är den som får uppläsa denna profetias ord, och saliga äro de som få höra dem och som taga vara på, vad däri är skrivet; ty tiden är nära.
4 Ihon to the. vii. congregacios in Asia. Grace be with you and peace from him which is and which was and which is to come and from the. vii. spretes which are present before his trone
Johannes hälsar de sju församlingarna i provinsen Asien. Nåd vare med eder och frid från honom som är, och som var, och som skall komma, så ock från de sju andar, som stå inför hans tron,
5 and from Iesus Christ which is a faythfull witnes and fyrst begotte of the deed: and Lorde over the kinges of the erth. Vnto him that loved vs and wesshed vs fro synnes in his awne bloud
och från Jesus Kristus, det trovärdiga vittnet, den förstfödde bland de döda, den som är härskaren över konungarna på jorden. Honom som älskar oss, och som har löst oss från våra synder med sitt blod
6 and made vs kinges and Prestes vnto God his father be glory and dominion for ever more. Amen. (aiōn g165)
och gjort oss till ett konungadöme, till präster åt sin Gud och Fader, honom tillhör äran och väldet i evigheternas evigheter, amen. (aiōn g165)
7 Beholde he commeth with cloudes and all eyes shall se him: and they also which peersed him. And all kinredes of ye erth shall wayle. Even so. Amen.
Se, han kommer med skyarna, och allas ögon skola se honom, ja ock deras som hava stungit honom; och alla släkter på jorden skola jämra sig vid hans åsyn. Ja, amen.
8 I am Alpha and Omega the begynninge and the endinge sayth the Lorde almyghty which is and which was and which is to come.
Jag är A och O, säger Herren Gud, han som är, och som var, och som skall komma, den Allsmäktige.
9 I Ihon youre brother and companyon in tribulacion and in the kyngdom and pacience which is in Iesu Christe was in the yle of Pathmos for the worde of god and for ye witnessynge of Iesu Christe.
Jag, Johannes, eder broder, som med eder har del i bedrövelsen och riket och ståndaktigheten i Jesus, jag befann mig på den ö som heter Patmos, för Guds ords och Jesu vittnesbörds skull.
10 I was in the sprete on a sondaye and herde behynde me a gret voyce as it had bene of a trompe
Jag kom i andehänryckning på Herrens dag och fick då bakom mig höra en stark röst, lik ljudet av en basun,
11 sayinge: I am Alpha and Omega the fyrst and the laste. That thou seist write in a boke and sende it vnto the congregacions which are in Asia vnto Ephesus and vnto Smyrna and vnto Pargamos and vnto Thiatira and vnto Sardis and vnto Philadelphia and vnto Laodicia.
och den sade: »Skriv upp i en bok vad du får se, och sänd den till de sju församlingarna i Efesus och Smyrna och Pergamus och Tyatira och Sardes och Filadelfia och Laodicea.»
12 And I turned backe to se the voyce that spake to me. And when I was turned: I sawe. vii golde candelstyckes
Och jag vände mig om för att se vad det var för en röst som talade till mig; och när jag vände mig om, fick jag se sju gyllene ljusstakar
13 and in the myddes of the cadelstyckes one lyke vnto ye sone of ma clothed with a lynnen garmet doune to the ground and gyrd aboute the pappes with a golden gyrdle
och mitt i bland ljusstakarna någon som liknade en människoson, klädd i en fotsid klädnad och omgjordad kring bröstet med ett gyllene bälte.
14 His heed and his heares were whyte as whyte woll and as snowe: and his eyes were as a flame of fyre:
Hans huvud och hår var vitt såsom vit ull, såsom snö, och hans ögon voro såsom eldslågor.
15 and his fete lyke vnto brasse as though they brent in a fornace: and his voyce as the sounde of many waters.
Hans fötter liknade glänsande malm, när den har blivit glödgad i en ugn. Och hans röst var såsom bruset av stora vatten.
16 And he had in his right honde vii. starres. And out of his mouth wet a sharpe twoo edged swearde. And his face shone eve as the sonne in his strength.
I sin högra hand hade han sju stjärnor, och från hans mun utgick ett skarpt tveeggat svärd, och hans ansikte var såsom solen, när den skiner i sin fulla kraft.
17 And when I sawe him I fell at his fete even as deed. And he layde hys ryght honde apon me sayinge vnto me: feare not. I am the fyrst and the laste
När jag såg honom, föll jag ned för hans fötter, såsom hade jag varit död. Men han lade sin högra hand på mig och sade: »Frukta icke. Jag är den förste och den siste
19 wryte therfore the thynges which thou haste sene and the thynges which are and the thynges which shalbe fulfylled hereafter:
Så skriv nu upp, vad du har sett, och skriv upp både vad som nu är, och vad som härefter skall ske.
20 and ye mystery of the vii. starres which thou sawest in my ryght honde and the vii. golden candelstyckes. The vii. stares are the messengers of the vii. congregacios: And the vii. candlestyckes which thou sawest are the vii. congregacions.
Vad angår hemligheten med de sju stjärnorna, som du har sett i min högra hand, och de sju gyllene ljusstakarna, så må du veta att de sju stjärnorna äro de sju församlingarnas änglar, och att de sju ljusstakarna äro de sju församlingarna.» Se A och O i Ordförkl.
