1 When the mornynge was come all ye chefe prestes and the elders of ye people helde a counsayle agenst Iesu to put him to deeth
Ní òwúrọ̀, gbogbo àwọn olórí àlùfáà àti àwọn àgbàgbà Júù tún padà láti gbìmọ̀ bí wọn yóò ti ṣe pa Jesu.
2 and brought him bounde and delivered him vnto Poncius Pilate the debite.
Lẹ́yìn èyí, wọ́n fi ẹ̀wọ̀n dè é, wọ́n sì jọ̀wọ́ rẹ̀ fún Pilatu tí i ṣe gómìnà.
3 Then when Iudas which betrayed him sawe that he was condempned he repented him sylfe and brought ageyne the. xxx. plattes of sylver to ye chefe prestes and elders
Nígbà tí Judasi, ẹni tí ó fi í hàn, rí i wí pé a ti dá a lẹ́bi ikú, ó yí ọkàn rẹ̀ padà, ó sì káàánú nípa ohun tí ó ṣe. Ó sì mú ọgbọ̀n owó fàdákà tí ó gba náà wá fún àwọn olórí àlùfáà àti àwọn àgbàgbà Júù.
4 sayinge: I have synned betrayinge the innocent bloud. And they sayde: what is that to vs? Se thou to that.
Ó wí pé, “Mo ti ṣẹ̀ nítorí tí mo ti ta ẹ̀jẹ̀ aláìlẹ́ṣẹ̀ sílẹ̀.” Wọ́n dá a lóhùn pẹ̀lú ìbínú pé, “Èyí kò kàn wá! Wàhálà tìrẹ ni!”
5 And he cast doune the sylver plattes in the temple and departed and went and hounge him sylfe.
Nígbà náà ni Judasi da owó náà sílẹ̀ nínú tẹmpili. Ó jáde, ó sì lọ pokùnso.
6 And the chefe prestes toke the sylver plattes and sayd: it is not lawfull for to put them in to the treasury because it is the pryce of bloud.
Àwọn olórí àlùfáà sì mú owó náà. Wọ́n wí pé, “Àwa kò lè fi owó yìí sínú owó ìkójọpọ̀. Ní ìwọ̀n ìgbà tí ó lòdì sí òfin wa nítorí pé owó ẹ̀jẹ̀ ni.”
7 And they toke counsell and bought with them a potters felde to bury strangers in.
Wọ́n sì gbìmọ̀, wọ́n sì fi ra ilẹ̀ amọ̀kòkò, láti máa sin òkú àwọn àjèjì nínú rẹ̀.
8 Wherfore that felde is called the felde of bloud vntyll this daye.
Ìdí nìyìí tí à ń pe ibi ìsìnkú náà ní “Ilẹ̀ Ẹ̀jẹ̀” títí di òní.
9 Then was fulfylled that which was spoken by Ieremy the Prophet sayinge: and they toke. xxx. sylver plattes the prise of him that was valued whom they bought of the chyldren of Israel
Èyí sì jẹ́ ìmúṣẹ èyí tí a ti sọtẹ́lẹ̀ láti ẹnu wòlíì Jeremiah wí pé, “Wọ́n sì mú ọgbọ̀n owó fàdákà tí àwọn ènìyàn Israẹli díye lé e.
10 and they gave them for the potters felde as the Lorde appoynted me.
Wọ́n sì fi ra ilẹ̀ kan lọ́wọ́ àwọn amọ̀kòkò gẹ́gẹ́ bí Olúwa ti pàṣẹ.”
11 Iesus stode before the debite: and the debite axed him sayinge: Arte thou the kynge of ye Iues? Iesus sayd vnto him: Thou sayest
Nígbà náà ni Jesu dúró níwájú baálẹ̀ láti gba ìdájọ́. Baálẹ̀ sì béèrè pé, “Ṣe ìwọ ni ọba àwọn Júù?” Jesu dáhùn pé, “Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni, nítorí tí ìwọ wí i.”
12 and when he was accused of ye chefe prestes and elders he answered nothinge.
Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí àwọn olórí àlùfáà àti àwọn àgbàgbà Júù fi gbogbo ẹ̀sùn wọn kàn án, Jesu kò dáhùn kan.
13 Then sayd Pilate vnto him: hearest thou not how many thinges they laye ageynste ye?
Nígbà náà ni Pilatu, béèrè lọ́wọ́ Jesu pé, “Àbí ìwọ kò gbọ́ ẹ̀rí tí wọn ń wí nípa rẹ ni?”
14 And he answered him to never a worde: in so moche that the debite marveylled greatlie.
Jesu kò sì tún dáhùn kan. Èyí sì ya baálẹ̀ lẹ́nu.
15 At that feest the debite was wonte to deliver vnto ye people a presoner whom they wolde desyer.
Ó jẹ́ àṣà gómìnà láti dá ọ̀kan nínú àwọn ẹlẹ́wọ̀n Júù sílẹ̀ lọ́dọọdún, ní àsìkò àjọ̀dún ìrékọjá. Ẹnikẹ́ni tí àwọn ènìyàn bá ti fẹ́ ni.
16 He had then a notable presoner called Barrabas.
Ní àsìkò náà ọ̀daràn paraku kan wà nínú ẹ̀wọ̀n tí à ń pè Jesu Baraba.
17 And when they were gadered together Pilate sayde vnto the: whether wyll ye that I geve losse vnto you Barrabas or Iesus which is called Christ?
Bí ọ̀pọ̀ ènìyàn ti péjọ síwájú ilé Pilatu lówúrọ̀ ọjọ́ náà, ó béèrè lọ́wọ́ wọn pé, “Ta ni ẹ̀yin ń fẹ́ kí n dá sílẹ̀ fún yín, Baraba tàbí Jesu, ẹni tí ń jẹ́ Kristi?”
18 For he knewe well that for envie they had delivred him.
Òun ti mọ̀ pé nítorí ìlara ni wọn fi fà á lé òun lọ́wọ́.
19 When he was set doune to geve iudgemet his wyfe sent to him sayinge: have thou nothinge to do with that iuste man. For I have suffered many thinges this daye in a dreame about him.
Bí Pilatu sì ti ṣe jókòó lórí ìtẹ́ ìdájọ́ rẹ̀, ìyàwó rẹ̀ ránṣẹ́ sí i pé, “Má ṣe ní ohun kankan ṣe pẹ̀lú ọkùnrin aláìṣẹ̀ náà. Nítorí mo jìyà ohun púpọ̀ lójú àlá mi lónìí nítorí rẹ̀.”
20 But the chefe preestes and the elders had parswaded the people that they shulde axe Barrabas and shulde destroye Iesus.
Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn olórí àlùfáà àti àwọn àgbàgbà Júù rọ àwọn ènìyàn, láti béèrè kí a dá Baraba sílẹ̀, kí a sì béèrè ikú fún Jesu.
21 Then the debite answered and sayde vnto them: whether of the twayne wyll ye that I let loosse vnto you? And they sayde Barrabas.
Nígbà tí Pilatu sì tún béèrè lọ́wọ́ wọn pé, “Èwo nínú àwọn méjèèjì yìí ni ẹ̀ ń fẹ́ kí n dá sílẹ̀ fún yín?” Àwọn ènìyàn sì kígbe padà pé, “Baraba!”
22 Pilate sayde vnto them: what shall I do then with Iesus which is called Christ? They all sayde to him: let him be crucified.
Pilatu béèrè pé, “Kí ni kí èmi ṣe sí Jesu ẹni ti a ń pè ní Kristi?” Gbogbo wọn sì tún kígbe pé, “Kàn án mọ́ àgbélébùú!”
23 Then sayde the debite: what evyll hath he done? And they cryed the more sayinge: let him be crucified.
Pilatu sì béèrè pé, “Nítorí kí ni? Kí ló ṣe tí ó burú?” Wọ́n kígbe sókè pé, “Kàn án mọ́ àgbélébùú! Kàn án mọ́ àgbélébùú!”
24 When Pilate sawe that he prevayled nothinge but that moare busines was made he toke water and wasshed his hondes before ye people sayinge: I am innocent of the bloud of this iuste person and that ye shall se.
Nígbà tí Pilatu sì rí i pé òun kò tún rí nǹkan kan ṣe mọ́, àti wí pé rògbòdìyàn ti ń bẹ̀rẹ̀, ó béèrè omi, ó sì wẹ ọwọ́ rẹ̀ níwájú ọ̀pọ̀ ènìyàn, ó wí pé, “Ọrùn mí mọ́ nípa ẹ̀jẹ̀ ọkùnrin yìí. Ẹ̀yin fúnra yín, ẹ bojútó o!”
25 Then answered all the people and sayde: his bloud be on vs and on oure chyldren.
Gbogbo àgbájọ náà sì ké pé, “Kí ẹ̀jẹ̀ rẹ̀ wà lórí wa, àti ní orí àwọn ọmọ wa!”
26 Then let he Barrabas loose vnto them and scourged Iesus and delivered him to be crucified.
Nígbà náà ni Pilatu dá Baraba sílẹ̀ fún wọn. Lẹ́yìn tí òun ti na Jesu tán, ó fi í lé wọn lọ́wọ́ láti mú un lọ kàn mọ́ àgbélébùú.
27 Then the soudeours of the debite toke Iesus vnto the comen hall and gaddered vnto him all the company.
Nígbà náà ni àwọn ọmọ-ogun gómìnà mú Jesu lọ sí gbọ̀ngàn ìdájọ́ wọ́n sì kó gbogbo ẹgbẹ́ ọmọ-ogun tì í.
28 And they stripped him and put on him a purpyll roobe
Wọ́n tú Jesu sì ìhòhò, wọ́n sì wọ̀ ọ́ ní aṣọ òdòdó,
29 and platted a croune of thornes and put vpon his heed and a rede in his ryght honde: and bowed their knees before him and mocked him saying: hayle kinge of the Iewes:
wọ́n sì hun adé ẹ̀gún. Wọ́n sì fi dé e lórí. Wọ́n sì fi ọ̀pá sí ọwọ́ ọ̀tún rẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọ̀pá ọba. Wọ́n sì wólẹ̀ níwájú rẹ̀, wọ́n fi í ṣe ẹlẹ́yà pé, “Kábíyèsí, ọba àwọn Júù!”
30 and spitted vpon him and toke the rede and smoote him on the heed.
Wọ́n sì tu itọ́ sí i lójú àti ara, wọ́n gba ọ̀pá wọ́n sì nà án lórí.
31 And when they had mocked him they toke the robe of him ageyne and put his awne reymet on him and leed him awaye to crucify him.
Nígbà tí wọ́n fi ṣẹ̀sín tán, wọ́n bọ́ aṣọ ara rẹ̀. Wọ́n tún fi aṣọ tirẹ̀ wọ̀ ọ́. Wọ́n sì mú un jáde láti kàn án mọ́ àgbélébùú.
32 And as they came out they fonnde a man of Cyren named Simon: him they compelled to beare his crosse.
Bí wọ́n sì ti ń jáde, wọ́n rí ọkùnrin kan ará Kirene tí à ń pè ní Simoni. Wọ́n sì mú ọkùnrin náà ní túláàsì láti ru àgbélébùú Jesu.
33 And whe they cam vnto ye place called Golgotha (that is to saye a place of deed mens sculles)
Wọ́n sì jáde lọ sí àdúgbò kan tí à ń pè ní Gọlgọta (èyí tí í ṣe “Ibi Agbárí”).
34 they gave him veneger to drinke mengled with gall. And when he had tasted therof he wolde not drinke.
Níbẹ̀ ni wọn ti fún un ni ọtí wáìnì tí ó ní egbòogi nínú láti mu. Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí ó tọ́ ọ wò, ó kọ̀ láti mu ún.
35 When they had crucified him they parted his garmentes and did cast lottes: to fulfyll that was spoken by the prophet. They deuyded my garmetes amonge them: and apon my vesture did cast loottes.
Lẹ́yìn tí wọ́n sì ti kàn án mọ́ àgbélébùú, wọ́n dìbò láti pín aṣọ rẹ̀ láàrín ara wọn.
36 And they sate and watched him there.
Nígbà náà ni wọ́n jókòó yí i ká. Wọ́n ń ṣọ́ ọ níbẹ̀.
37 And they set vp over his heed the cause of his deeth written. This is Iesus the kynge of the Iewes.
Ní òkè orí rẹ̀, wọ́n kọ ohun kan tí ó kà báyìí pé: “Èyí ni Jesu, Ọba àwọn Júù.” síbẹ̀.
38 And ther were two theves crucified with him one on ye right honde and another on the lyfte.
Wọ́n kan àwọn olè méjì pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ ní òwúrọ̀ náà. Ọ̀kan ní ọwọ́ ọ̀tún, àti èkejì ní ọwọ́ òsì rẹ̀.
39 They that passed by revyled him waggynge ther heeddes
Àwọn tí ń kọjá lọ sì ń bú u. Wọ́n sì ń mi orí wọn pé:
40 and sayinge: Thou that destroyest the temple of God and byldest it in thre dayes save thy sylfe. If thou be ye sonne of God come doune from the crosse.
“Ìwọ tí yóò wó tẹmpili, ìwọ tí yóò sì tún un mọ ní ọjọ́ kẹta. Bí ó bá jẹ́ pé Ọmọ Ọlọ́run ni ìwọ, sọ̀kalẹ̀ láti orí igi àgbélébùú, kí ó sì gba ara rẹ là!”
41 Lykwyse also the hye prestes mockinge him with the scribes aud elders sayde:
Bákan náà àwọn olórí àlùfáà pẹ̀lú àwọn akọ̀wé òfin àti àwọn àgbàgbà Júù sì fi í ṣe ẹlẹ́yà.
42 He saved other him sylfe he can not save. If he be ye kynge of Israel: let him now come doune from the crosse and we will beleve him.
Wọ́n kẹ́gàn rẹ̀ pé, “Ó gba àwọn ẹlòmíràn là, kò sí lè gba ara rẹ̀. Ìwọ ọba àwọn Israẹli? Sọ̀kalẹ̀ láti orí àgbélébùú nísinsin yìí, àwa yóò sì gbà ọ́ gbọ́.
43 He trusted in God let him deliver him now yf he will have him: for he sayde I am the sonne of God.
Ó gba Ọlọ́run gbọ́, jẹ́ kí Ọlọ́run gbà á là ní ìsinsin yìí tí òun bá fẹ́ ẹ. Ǹjẹ́ òun kò wí pé, èmi ni Ọmọ Ọlọ́run?”
44 That same also the theves which were crucified with him cast in his tethe.
Bákan náà, àwọn olè tí a kàn mọ́ àgbélébùú pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ fi í ṣe ẹlẹ́yà.
45 From the sixte houre was there dercknes over all the londe vnto the nynth houre.
Láti wákàtí kẹfà ni òkùnkùn fi ṣú bo gbogbo ilẹ̀ títí dé wákàtí kẹsànán ọjọ́.
46 And about ye nynth houre Iesus cryed with a loude voyce sayinge: Eli Eli lama asbathani. That is to saye my God my God why hast thou forsaken me?
Níwọ̀n wákàtí kẹsànán ní Jesu sì kígbe ní ohùn rara wí pé, “Eli, Eli, lama sabakitani” (ní èdè Heberu). Ìtumọ̀ èyí tí í ṣe, “Ọlọ́run mi, Ọlọ́run mi, èéṣe tí ìwọ fi kọ̀ mí sílẹ̀?”
47 Some of them that stode there when they herde that sayde: This man calleth for Helyas.
Ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ̀ kò yé díẹ̀ nínú àwọn ẹni tí ń wòran, nígbà tí wọ́n gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ̀, wọ́n wí pé ọkùnrin yìí ń pe Elijah.
48 And streyght waye one of them ranne and toke a sponge and filled it full of veneger and put it on a rede and gave him to drinke.
Lẹ́sẹ̀kan náà, ọ̀kan nínú wọn sáré, ó mú kànìnkànìn, ó tẹ̀ ẹ́ bọ inú ọtí kíkan. Ó fi lé orí ọ̀pá, ó gbé e sókè láti fi fún un mu.
49 Other sayde let be: let vs se whyther Helyas will come and deliver him.
Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn ìyókù wí pé, “Ẹ fi í sílẹ̀. Ẹ jẹ́ kí a wò ó bóyá Elijah yóò sọ̀kalẹ̀ láti gbà á là.”
50 Iesus cryed agayne with a lowde voyce and yelded vp the goost.
Nígbà tí Jesu sì kígbe ní ohùn rara lẹ́ẹ̀kan sí i, ó jọ̀wọ́ ẹ̀mí rẹ̀, ó sì kú.
51 And beholde the vayle of the temple dyd rent in twayne from ye toppe to the bottome and the erth dyd quake and the stones dyd rent
Lójúkan náà aṣọ ìkélé tẹmpili fàya, láti òkè dé ìsàlẹ̀. Ilẹ̀ sì mì tìtì. Àwọn àpáta sì sán.
52 and graves dyd open: and the bodies of many sainctes which slept arose
Àwọn isà òkú sì ṣí sílẹ̀. Ọ̀pọ̀ òkú àwọn ẹni mímọ́ tí ó ti sùn sì tún jíǹde.
53 and came out of ye graves after his resurreccion and came into the holy cite and appered vnto many.
Wọ́n jáde wá láti isà òkú lẹ́yìn àjíǹde Jesu, wọ́n sì lọ sí ìlú mímọ́. Níbẹ̀ ni wọ́n ti fi ara han ọ̀pọ̀ ènìyàn.
54 When the Centurion and they that were with him watchinge Iesus sawe ye erth quake and those thinges which hapened they feared greatly sayinge. Of a surete this was the sonne of God.
Nígbà tí balógun ọ̀run àti àwọn tí ó wà pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ tí wọ́n ń sọ Jesu rí bí ilẹ̀ ṣe mì tìtì àti ohun tí ó ṣẹlẹ̀, ẹ̀rù bà wọn gidigidi, wọ́n wí pé, “Lóòótọ́ Ọmọ Ọlọ́run ní í ṣe!”
55 And many wemen were there beholdinge him a farre of which folowed Iesus fro Galile ministringe vnto him.
Ọ̀pọ̀ obìnrin tí ó wá láti Galili pẹ̀lú Jesu láti tọ́jú rẹ̀ wọn ń wò ó láti òkèèrè.
56 Amonge which was Mary Magdalen and Mary the mother of Iames and Ioses and ye mother of zebedes chyldren.
Nínú àwọn obìnrin ti ó wà níbẹ̀ ni Maria Magdalene, àti Maria ìyá Jakọbu àti Josẹfu, àti ìyá àwọn ọmọ Sebede méjèèjì wà níbẹ̀ pẹ̀lú.
57 When the even was come there came a ryche man of Aramathia named Ioseph which same also was Iesus disciple.
Nígbà tí alẹ́ sì lẹ́, ọkùnrin ọlọ́rọ̀ kan láti Arimatea, tí à ń pè ní Josẹfu, ọ̀kan nínú àwọn tí ó jẹ́ ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn Jesu,
58 He went to Pilate and begged the body of Iesus. Then Pilate commaunded the body to be delivered.
lọ sọ́dọ̀ Pilatu, ó sì tọrọ òkú Jesu. Pilatu sì pàṣẹ kí a gbé é fún un.
59 And Ioseph toke the body and wrapped it in a clene lynnyn clooth
Josẹfu sì gbé òkú náà. Ó fi aṣọ funfun mímọ́ dì í.
60 and put it in his newe tombe which he had hewen out even in the roke and rolled a greate stone to the dore of ye sepulcre and departed.
Ó sì tẹ́ ẹ sínú ibojì òkúta tí ó gbẹ́ nínú àpáta fúnra rẹ̀. Ó sì yí òkúta ńlá dí ẹnu-ọ̀nà ibojì náà, ó sì lọ.
61 And there was Mary Magdalene and the other Mary sittynge over ageynste the sepulcre.
Maria Magdalene àti Maria kejì wà níbẹ̀, wọn jókòó òdìkejì ibojì náà.
62 The nexte daye that foloweth good frydaye the hye prestes and pharises got them selves to Pilate
Lọ́jọ́ kejì tí ó tẹ̀lé ọjọ́ ìpalẹ̀mọ́ àwọn olórí àlùfáà àti àwọn Farisi lọ sọ́dọ̀ Pilatu.
63 and sayde: Syr we remember yt this deceaver sayde whyll he was yet alyve After thre dayes I will aryse agayne.
Wọ́n sọ fún un pé, “Alàgbà àwa rántí pé ẹlẹ́tàn n nì wí nígbà tí ó wà láyé pé, ‘Lẹ́yìn ọjọ́ kẹta èmi yóò tún jí dìde.’
64 Commaunde therfore that the sepulcre be made sure vntyll ye thyrd daye lest paraventure his disciples come and steale him awaye and saye vnto the people he is rysen from deeth and the laste erroure be worsse then the fyrst.
Nítorí náà, pàṣẹ kí a ti ibojì rẹ̀ gbọningbọnin títí ọjọ́ kẹta, kí àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ má ṣe wá jí gbé lọ, wọn a sì bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí í sọ fún gbogbo ènìyàn pé, ‘Òun ti jíǹde,’ bí èyí bá ní láti ṣẹlẹ̀, yóò burú fún wa púpọ̀ ju ti àkọ́kọ́ lọ.”
65 Pilate sayde vnto them. Take watche men: Go and make it as sure as ye can.
Pilatu sì pàṣẹ pé, “Ẹ lo àwọn olùṣọ́ yín kí wọn dáàbò bo ibojì náà bí ẹ bá ti fẹ́.”
66 And they went and made the sepulcre sure with watche men and sealed the stone.
Nítorí náà wọ́n lọ. Wọ́n sì ṣé òkúta ibojì náà dáradára. Wọ́n sì fi àwọn olùṣọ́ sí ibẹ̀ láti dáàbò bò ó.
