Matthew 22
1 And Iesus answered and spake vnto them agayne in similitudes sayinge.
യേശു പിന്നെയും അവരോടു ഉപമകളായി പ്രസ്താവിച്ചതെന്തെന്നാൽ:
2 The kingdome of heve is lyke vnto a certayne kynge which maryed his sonne
സ്വൎഗ്ഗരാജ്യം തന്റെ പുത്രന്നു വേണ്ടി കല്യാണസദ്യ കഴിച്ച ഒരു രാജാവിനോടു സദൃശം.
3 and sent forth his servantes to call them that were byd to the weddinge and they wolde not come.
അവൻ കല്യാണത്തിന്നു ക്ഷണിച്ചവരെ വിളിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ദാസന്മാരെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു; അവൎക്കോ വരുവാൻ മനസ്സായില്ല.
4 Ageyne he sent forth other servauntes sayinge: Tell them which are bydden: beholde I have prepared my dynner myne oxen and my fatlinges are kylled and all thinges are redy come vnto the mariage.
പിന്നെയും അവൻ മറ്റു ദാസന്മാരെ അയച്ചു: എന്റെ മുത്താഴം ഒരുക്കിത്തീൎന്നു, എന്റെ കാളകളെയും തടിപ്പിച്ച മൃഗങ്ങളെയും അറുത്തു, എല്ലാം ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; കല്യാണത്തിന്നു വരുവിൻ എന്നു ക്ഷണിച്ചുവരോടു പറയിച്ചു.
5 But they made light of it and went their wayes: one to his ferme place another about his marchaundise
അവർ അതു കൂട്ടാക്കാതെ ഒരുത്തൻ തന്റെ നിലത്തിലേക്കും മറ്റൊരുത്തൻ തന്റെ വ്യാപാരത്തിന്നും പൊയ്ക്കളഞ്ഞു.
6 the remnaunt toke his seruantes and intreated them vngodly and slewe them.
ശേഷമുള്ളവർ അവന്റെ ദാസന്മാരെ പിടിച്ചു അപമാനിച്ചു കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.
7 When the kinge hearde that he was wroth and send forth his warryers and distroyed those murtherers and brent vp their cyte.
രാജാവു കോപിച്ചു സൈന്യങ്ങളെ അയച്ചു ആ കുലപാതകന്മാരെ മുടിച്ചു അവരുടെ പട്ടണം ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു.
8 Then sayde he to his servauutes: the weddinge was prepared. But they which were bydden were not worthy.
പിന്നെ അവൻ ദാസന്മാരോടു: കല്യാണം ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ക്ഷണിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരോ യോഗ്യരായില്ല.
9 Go ye therfore out into ye hyewayes and as many as ye finde byd them to the mariage.
ആകയാൽ വഴിത്തലെക്കൽ ചെന്നു കാണുന്നവരെ ഒക്കെയും കല്യാണത്തിന്നു വിളിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
10 The seruauntes wet out into the hiewayes and gaddered to gedder as many as they coulde fynde both good and bad and ye weddinge was furnysshed with gestes.
ആ ദാസന്മാർ പെരുവഴികളിൽ പോയി, കണ്ട ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെയും നല്ലവരെയും എല്ലാം കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; കല്യാണശാല വിരുന്നുകാരെക്കൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞു.
11 Then the kynge came in to viset the gestes and spyed there a ma which had not on a weddinge garment
വിരുന്നുകാരെ നോക്കുവാൻ രാജാവു അകത്തു വന്നപ്പോൾ കല്യാണവസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കാത്ത ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ അവിടെ കണ്ടു:
12 and sayde vnto him: frende how fortuned it that thou camest in hither and hast not on a weddyng garment? And he was eve spechlesse.
സ്നേഹിതാ, നീ കല്യാണവസ്ത്രം ഇല്ലാതെ ഇവിടെ അകത്തു വന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. എന്നാൽ അവന്നു വാക്കു മുട്ടിപ്പോയി.
13 Then sayde the kynge to his ministers: take and bynde hym hand and fote and caste hym into vtter darcknes there shalbe wepinge and gnasshinge of teth.
രാജാവു ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരോടു: ഇവനെ കയ്യും കാലും കെട്ടി ഏറ്റവും പുറത്തുള്ള ഇരുട്ടിൽ തള്ളിക്കളവിൻ; അവിടെ കരച്ചലും പല്ലുകടിയും ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
14 For many are called and feawe be chosen.
വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ അനേകർ; തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടവരോ ചുരുക്കം.
15 Then wet the Pharises and toke counsell how they might tagle him in his wordes.
അനന്തരം പരീശന്മാർ ചെന്നു അവനെ വാക്കിൽ കുടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആലോചിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു
16 And they sent vnto him their disciples with Herodes servauntes sayinge: Master we knowe yt thou are true and teachest the waye of god trulie nether carest for eny man for thou consydrest not menes estate.
തങ്ങളുടെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ ഹെരോദ്യരോടു കൂടെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു: ഗുരോ, നീ സത്യവാനും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വഴി നേരായി പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനും മനുഷ്യരുടെ മുഖം നോക്കാത്തവൻ ആകയാൽ ആരെയും ശങ്കയില്ലാത്തവനും ആകുന്നു എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നു.
17 Tell vs therfore: how thynkest thou? Is it lawfull to geve tribute vnto Cesar or not?
നിനക്കു എന്തു തോന്നുന്നു? കൈസൎക്കു കരം കൊടുക്കുന്നതു വിഹിതമോ അല്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുതരേണം എന്നു പറയിച്ചു.
18 Iesus perceaved their wikednes and sayde: Why tempte ye me ye ypocrites?
യേശു അവരുടെ ദുഷ്ടത അറിഞ്ഞു: കപട ഭക്തിക്കാരേ, എന്നെ പരീക്ഷിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു?
19 Let me se ye tribute money. And they toke hym a peny.
കരത്തിന്നുള്ള നാണയം കാണിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവർ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഒരു വെള്ളിക്കാശു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.
20 And he sayde vnto them: whose is this ymage and superscripcion?
അവൻ അവരോടു: ഈ സ്വരൂപവും മേലെഴുത്തും ആരുടേതു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചുതിന്നു കൈസരുടേതു എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.
21 They sayde vnto him: Cesars. Then sayde he vnto them. Geve therfore to Cesar that which is Cesars: and geve vnto god that which is goddes.
എന്നാൽ കൈസൎക്കുള്ളതു കൈസൎക്കും ദൈവത്തിനുള്ളതു ദൈവത്തിന്നും കൊടുപ്പിൻ എന്നു അവൻ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
22 When they hearde that they marveled and lefte hym and went there waye.
അവർ കേട്ടു ആശ്ചൎയ്യപ്പെട്ടു അവനെ വിട്ടു പൊയ്ക്കളഞ്ഞു.
23 The same daye the Saduces came to him (which saye that there is no resurrcecion) and axed him
പുനരുത്ഥാനം ഇല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്ന സദൂക്യരും അന്നു അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു:
24 sayinge: Master Moses bade yf a man dye havinge no chyldre that the brother mary his wyfe and reyse vp seed vnto his brother.
ഗുരോ, ഒരുത്തൻ മക്കൾ ഇല്ലാതെ മരിച്ചാൽ അവന്റെ സഹോദരൻ അവന്റെ ഭാൎയ്യയെ ദേവരവിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു തന്റെ സഹോദരന്നു സന്തതിയെ ജനിപ്പിക്കേണം എന്നു മോശെ കല്പിച്ചുവല്ലോ.
25 Ther were wt vs seven brethre and the fyrste maried and deceased wt oute yssue and lefte his wyfe vnto his brother.
എന്നാൽ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഏഴു സഹോദരന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവരിൽ ഒന്നാമത്തവൻ വിവാഹം ചെയ്തശേഷം മരിച്ചു, സന്തതി ഇല്ലായ്കയാൽ തന്റെ ഭാൎയ്യയെ സഹോദരന്നു വിട്ടേച്ചു.
26 Lykewise the seconde and ye thryd vnto the sevethe.
രണ്ടാമത്തവനും മൂന്നാമത്തവനും ഏഴാമത്തവൻ വരെയും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ.
27 Laste of all the woman dyed also.
എല്ലാവരും കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഒടുവിൽ സ്ത്രീയും മരിച്ചു.
28 Now in the resurreccion whose wyfe shall she be of the seven? For all had her.
എന്നാൽ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിൽ അവൾ ഏഴുവരിൽ ആൎക്കു ഭാൎയ്യയാകും? എല്ലാവൎക്കും ആയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
29 Iesus answered and sayde vnto the: ye are deceaved and vnderstonde not the scriptures nor yet the power of God.
അതിന്നു യേശു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: നിങ്ങൾ തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെയും ദൈവശക്തിയെയും അറിയായ്കകൊണ്ടു തെറ്റിപ്പോകുന്നു.
30 For in the resurreccion they nether mary nor are maryed: but are as the angels of God in heven.
പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിൽ അവർ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നില്ല, വിവാഹത്തിന്നു കൊടുക്കപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല; സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിലെ ദൂതന്മാരെപ്പോലെ അത്രേ ആകുന്നു.
31 As touchynge the resurreccion of the deed: have ye not redde what is sayde vnto you of God which sayeth:
മരിച്ചവരുടെ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തെക്കുറിച്ചോ ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നതു നിങ്ങൾ വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ?
32 I am Abrahams God and Ysaacks God and the God of Iacob? God is not the God of the deed: but of the lyvinge.
ഞാൻ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ദൈവവും യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവവും ആകുന്നു എന്നു അവൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അവൻ മരിച്ചവരുടെ ദൈവമല്ല, ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദൈവമത്രേ.
33 And when the people hearde that they were astonyed at his doctrine.
പുരുഷാരം ഇതു കേട്ടിട്ടു അവന്റെ ഉപദേശത്തിൽ വിസ്മയിച്ചു.
34 When the Pharises had hearde how yt he had put the Saduces to silence they drewe to gedder
സദൂക്യരെ അവൻ മിണ്ടാതാക്കിയപ്രകാരം കേട്ടിട്ടു പരീശന്മാർ ഒന്നിച്ചു കൂടി,
35 and one of them which was a doctoure of lawe axed a question teptinge h m and sayinge:
അവരിൽ ഒരു വൈദികൻ അവനെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു:
36 Master which is ye chefe comaundment in the lawe?
ഗുരോ, ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ ഏതു കല്പന വലിയതു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
37 Iesus sayde vnto him: love the Lorde thy God wt all thine herte with all thy soule and with all thy mynde.
യേശു അവനോടു: നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ കൎത്താവിനെ നീ പൂൎണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂൎണ്ണാത്മാവോടും പൂൎണ്ണമനസ്സോടും കൂടെ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം.
38 This is the fyrst and the chefe comaundement.
ഇതാകുന്നു വലിയതും ഒന്നാമത്തേതുമായ കല്പന രണ്ടാമത്തേതു അതിനോടു സമം:
39 And ther is another lyke vnto this. Love thyne neghbour as thy selfe.
കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നിന്നെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം.
40 In these two commaundemetes hange all the lawe and the Prophetes.
ഈ രണ്ടു കല്പനകളിൽ സകലന്യായപ്രമാണവും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും അടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
41 Whyll the Pharises were gaddered togeder Iesus axed
പരീശന്മാർ ഒരുമിച്ചു കൂടിയിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശു അവരോടു:
42 the sayinge: what thinke ye of Christ? Whose sonne is he? They sayde vnto him: the sonne of David.
ക്രിസ്തുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു നിങ്ങൾക്കു എന്തു തോന്നുന്നു? അവൻ ആരുടെ പുത്രൻ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു; ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രൻ എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.
43 He sayde vnto the: how then doeth David in spirite call him Lorde sayinge?
അവൻ അവരോടു: എന്നാൽ ദാവീദ് ആത്മാവിൽ അവനെ കൎത്താവു എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?
44 The Lorde sayde to my Lorde syt on my right honde: tyll I make thyne enemyes thy fote stole.
“ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ നിന്റെ പാദപീഠം ആക്കുവോളത്തിന്നു എന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു ഇരിക്ക എന്നു കൎത്താവു എന്റെ കൎത്താവിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു” എന്നു അവൻ പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ.
45 Yf David call him Lorde: how is he then his sonne?
ദാവീദ് അവനെ കൎത്താവ എന്നു പറയുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ അവന്റെ പുത്രൻ ആകുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
46 And none coulde answere him ageyne one worde: nether dueste eny from that daye forth axe him eny moo questions.
അവനോടു ഉത്തരം പറവാൻ ആൎക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല; അന്നുമുതൽ ആരും അവനോടു ഒന്നും ചോദിപ്പാൻ തുനിഞ്ഞതുമില്ല.
