Mark 9
1 And he sayde vnto them: Verely I saye vnto you: There be some of the that stonde here which shall not taste of deeth tyll they have sene the kyngdome of God come wt power.
Azután mondta nékik: „Bizony mondom néktek, hogy vannak némelyek az itt állók között, a kik nem kóstolnak addig halált, amíg meg nem látják, hogy az Isten országa eljött hatalommal.“
2 And after. vi. dayes Iesus toke Peter Iames and Iohn and leede them vp into an hye mountayne out of ye waye alone and he was transfigured before them.
És hat nap múlva magához vette Jézus Pétert, Jakabot és Jánost, és felvitte csupán őket magukban egy magas hegyre. És elváltozott előttük.
3 And his rayment dyd shyne and was made very whyte even as snowe: so whyte as noo fuller can make apon the erth.
Ruhája fényes lett, és olyan fehér, mint a hó, amihez hasonlót a ruhafestő e földön nem fehéríthet.
4 And ther apered vnto them Helyas with Moses: and they talked with Iesu.
És megjelent nekik Mózes Illéssel együtt, és beszéltek Jézussal.
5 And Peter answered and sayde to Iesu: Master here is good beinge for vs let vs make. iii. tabernacles one for the one for Moses and one for Helyas.
Péter pedig megszólalt, és ezt mondta Jézusnak: „Mester, jó nékünk itt lenni, csináljunk azért három hajlékot, neked egyet, Mózesnek is egyet, Illésnek is egyet.“
6 And yet he wist not what he sayde: for they were afrayde.
De nem tudta mit beszél, mivel megrémültek,
7 And ther was a cloude that shaddowed the. And a voyce came out of the cloude sayinge: This is my dere sonne here him.
és felhő támadt, mely beárnyékolta őket, és a felhőből szózat jött: „Ez az én szeretett Fiam, őt hallgassátok.“
8 And sodenly they loked rounde aboute them and sawe no man more then Iesus only wt the.
És mikor nagyon hirtelen körültekintettek, senkit sem láttak maguk körül, egyedül Jézust.
9 And as they came doune from the hyll he charged the that they shuld tell no ma what they had sene tyll the sonne of man were rysen fro deeth agayne.
Mikor pedig a hegyről leszálltak, megparancsolta nékik, hogy senkinek se beszéljék el, amit láttak, csak amikor az Emberfia a halálból feltámad.
10 And they kepte that sayinge with them and demaunded one of a nother what yt rysinge from deeth agayne shuld meane?
És ezt a parancsot megtartották magukban, tanakodva egymás között: mit jelent a halálból feltámadni?
11 And they axed him sayinge: why then saye ye scribe that Helyas muste fyrste come?
És megkérdezték tőle: „Miért mondják az írástudók, hogy előbb Illésnek kell eljönnie?“
12 He answered and sayde vnto them: Helyas verelye shall fyrst come and restore all thinges. And also ye sonne of ma as it is wrytte shall suffre many thinges and shall be set at nought.
Ő pedig ezt felelte nekik: „Illés ugyan előbb eljön, és helyreállít mindent; de hogyan van az Emberfiáról megírva, hogy sokat kell szenvednie és megvettetnie?
13 Moreouer I saye vnto you that Helyas is come and they have done vnto him whatsoever pleased them as it is wrytten of him.
De mondom nektek, hogy Illés is eljött, és azt cselekedték vele, amit akartak, amint meg van írva róla.“
14 And he came to his disciples and sawe moche people aboute them and the scribes disputinge with them.
Amikor a tanítványokhoz odament, nagy sokaságot látott körülöttük, és írástudókat, akik azokkal vitatkoztak.
15 And streyght waye all the people when they behelde him were amased and ran to him and saluted him.
Amikor az egész sokaság meglátta őt, azonnal elálmélkodott, és hozzásietve köszöntötte őt.
16 And he sayde vnto the Scribes: what dispute ye with them?
Ő pedig megkérdezte az írástudókat: „Miről vitatkoztok ezekkel?“
17 And one of the copanye answered and sayde: Master I have brought my sonne vnto the which hath a dome spirite.
A sokaságból valaki így felelt neki: „Mester, idehoztam hozzád a fiamat, akiben néma lélek van.
18 And whensoever he taketh him he teareth him and he fometh and gnassheth with his tethe and pyneth awaye. And I spake to thy disciples that they shuld caste him out and they coulde not.
És amikor csak megragadja, szaggatja őt, ő pedig tajtékzik, fogát csikorgatja, és megmerevedik. Mondtam hát tanítványaidnak, hogy űzzék ki azt, de nem tudták.“
19 He answered him and sayd: O generacion wt out faith how longe shall I be with you? How longe shall I suffre you? Bringe him vnto me.
Ő pedig így felelt neki: „Ó, hitetlen nemzetség, meddig leszek még veletek? Meddig szenvedlek még titeket? Hozzátok őt hozzám.“
20 And they brought him vnto him. And assone as ye sprete sawe him he tare him. And he fell doune on the grounde walowinge and fomynge.
És odavitték hozzá, és mihelyt meglátta őt, a lélek azonnal megrázta azt, és leesve a földre, tajtékozott és fetrengett.
21 And he axed his father: how longe is it a goo sens this hath happened him? And he sayde of a chylde:
És megkérdezte az atyját: „Mennyi ideje, hogy ez van rajta?“Az pedig mondta: „Gyermeksége óta.
22 and ofte tymes casteth him into the fyre and also into the water to destroye him. But yf thou canste do eny thinge have mercy on vs and helpe vs.
És gyakran vetette tűzbe is, vízbe is, hogy elveszítse őt, de ha valamit tehetsz, légy segítségül nekünk, megkönyörülvén rajtunk.“
23 And Iesus sayde vnto him: ye yf thou couldest beleve all thinges are possible to him yt belevith.
Jézus pedig ezt mondta neki: „Ha hiheted azt, minden lehetséges a hívőnek.“
24 And streygth waye the father of the chylde cryed with teares sayinge: Lorde I beleve helpe myne vnbelefe.
A gyermek atyja pedig azonnal kiáltott, és könnyhullatással mondta: „Hiszek, Uram! Légy segítségül az én hitetlenségemnek.“
25 When Iesus sawe that the people came runnynge togedder vnto him he rebuked the foule sprete sayinge vnto him: Thou domme and deffe sprete I charge the come out of him and entre no more into him.
Jézus pedig mikor látta, hogy a sokaság még inkább összetódul, megdorgálta a tisztátalan lelket, ezt mondva neki: „Te néma és siket lélek, én parancsolom neked, menj ki belőle, és többé belé ne menj!“
26 And the sprete cryed and rent him sore and came out: And he was as one that had bene deed in so moche yt many sayde he is deed.
És kiáltás és erős szaggatás között kiment belőle. A fiú pedig olyan lett, mint egy halott, annyira, hogy sokan azt mondták, hogy meghalt.
27 But Iesus caught his honde and lyfte him vp: and he roose.
Jézus pedig megfogta a kezét, fölemelte, és az fölkelt.
28 And when he was come into the housse his disciples axed him secretly: why coulde not we caste him out?
Mikor pedig bement a házba, tanítványai megkérdezték őt külön: „Mi miért nem űzhettük ki azt?“
29 And he sayde vnto them: this kynde can by no nother meanes come forth but by prayer and fastynge.
Ő pedig ezt mondta nekik: „Ez a fajta semmivel sem űzhető ki, csupán könyörgéssel és böjtöléssel.“
30 And they departed thens and toke their iorney thorow Galile and he wolde not that eny man shuld have knowen it.
És onnan kimenve, Galileán mentek át, és nem akarták, hogy valaki megtudja.
31 For he taught his disciples and sayde vnto them: The sonne of man shalbe delyvered into ye hondes of men and they shall kyll him and after that he is kylled he shall aryse agayne the thryd daye.
Mert tanította tanítványait, és ezt mondta nekik: „Az Emberfia az emberek kezébe adatik, és megölik őt, de ha megölték, harmadnapra föltámad.“
32 But they wiste not what that sayinge meat and were affrayed to axe him.
De ők nem értették ezt a beszédet, és féltek megkérdezni őt.
33 And he came to Capernaum. And when he was come to housse he axed the: what was it that ye disputed bytwene you by the waye?
És elment Kapernaumba. És odahaza megkérdezték őket: „Miről vitatkoztatok egymással az úton?“
34 And they helde their peace: for by the waye they reasoned amonge the selves who shuld be the chefest.
De ők hallgattak, mert egymás között azon vitatkoztak az úton, hogy ki a nagyobb.
35 And he sate doune and called the twelve vnto him and sayd to them: yf eny man desyre to be fyrst the same shalbe last of all and servaunt vnto all.
És leülve Jézus, odaszólította a tizenkettőt, és mondta nékik: „Ha valaki első akar lenni, legyen mindenki között utolsó, és mindenkinek szolgája.“
36 And he toke a chylde and set him in ye middes of them and toke him in his armes and sayde vnto them.
És kézenfogva egy gyermeket, közéjük állította, ölébe vette, és azt mondta nekik:
37 Whosoever receave eny soche a chylde in my name receaveth me. And whosoever receaveth me receaveth not me but him that sent me.
„Aki az ilyen gyermekek közül egyet befogad az én nevemben, engem fogad be, és aki engem befogad, nem engem fogad be, hanem azt, aki engem elküldött.“
38 Iohn answered him sayinge: Master we sawe one castynge out devyls in thy name which foloweth not vs and we forbade him because he foloweth vs not.
János pedig így felelt neki: „Mester, láttunk valakit, aki a te neveddel ördögöket űz, aki nem követ minket, és eltiltottuk őt, mivel nem követ minket.“
39 But Iesus sayde forbid him not. For ther is no ma that shall do a miracle in my name that can lightlyge speake evyll of me.
Jézus pedig ezt mondta: „Ne tiltsátok el őt, mert senki sincs, aki csodát tesz az én nevemben, és ugyanakkor gonoszul szólhatna felőlem.
40 Whosoever is not agaynste you is on youre parte.
Mert aki nincs ellenünk, mellettünk van.
41 And whosoever shall geve you a cuppe of water to drinke for my names sake because ye belonge to Christe verely I saye vnto you he shall not loose his rewarde.
Aki inni ad egy pohár vizet az én nevemben, mivel a Krisztuséi vagytok, bizony mondom néktek, el nem veszti a jutalmát.
42 And whosoever shall offende one of these lytelons yt beleve in me it were better for him yt a mylstone were hanged aboute his necke and yt he he were cast into ye see:
„Aki pedig megbotránkoztat egyet ama kicsinyek közül, akik én bennem hisznek, jobb annak, ha malomkövet kötnek a nyakára, és a tengerbe vetik.
43 wherfore yf thy hande offende ye cut him of. It is better for ye to entre into lyffe maymed then havynge two hondes goo into hell into fire yt never shalbe quenched (Geenna g1067)
És ha megbotránkoztat téged a te kezed, vágd le, mert jobb neked csonkán bemenned az életre, mint két kézzel menned a gyehennára, az olthatatlan tűzre, (Geenna g1067)
44 where there worme dyeth not and the fyre never goeth oute.
ahol férgük nem pusztul el, és tüzük nem alszik el.
45 Lykewyse yf thy fote offende the cut him of. For it is better for the to goo halt into lyfe then havynge two fete to be cast into hell into fyre that never shalbe quenched: (Geenna g1067)
És ha a te lábad botránkoztat meg téged, vágd le azt, mert jobb neked sántán bemenned az életre, mint két lábbal vettetned a gyehennára, az olthatatlan tűzre, (Geenna g1067)
46 where there worme dyeth not and the fyre never goeth oute.
ahol férgük nem pusztul el, és tüzük nem alszik el.
47 Even so yf thyne eye offende the plucke him oute. It is better for the to goo into the kyngdom of god with one eye then havynge two eyes to be caste into hell fyre: (Geenna g1067)
És ha a te szemed botránkoztat meg téged, vájd ki azt, mert jobb neked félszemmel bemenned az Isten országába, mint két szemmel vettetned a tüzes gyehennára, (Geenna g1067)
48 where there worme dyeth not and the fyre never goeth oute.
ahol férgük nem pusztul el, és tüzük nem alszik el.
49 Every man therfore shalbe salted wt fyre: And every sacrifise shalbe seasoned with salt.
„Mert mindenki tűzzel sózatik meg, és minden áldozat sóval sózatik meg.
50 Salt is good. But yf ye salt be vnsavery: what shall ye salte therwith? Se yt ye have salt in youre selves: and have peace amonge youre selves one with another.
Jó a só, de ha a só ízét veszti, mivel adtok ízt neki? Legyen bennetek só, és legyetek békében egymással.“
