Mark 8
1 In those dayes whe ther was a very greate companye and had nothinge to eate Iesus called his disciples to him and sayd vnto the:
Pada waktu itu ada pula orang banyak di situ yang besar jumlahnya, dan karena mereka tidak mempunyai makanan, Yesus memanggil murid-murid-Nya dan berkata:
2 I have copassion on this people because they have nowe bene with me. iii. dayes and have nothinge to eate:
"Hati-Ku tergerak oleh belas kasihan kepada orang banyak ini. Sudah tiga hari mereka mengikuti Aku dan mereka tidak mempunyai makanan.
3 And yf I shuld sende the awaye fastinge to their awne houses they shulde faynt by the waye. For dyvers of the came from farre.
Dan jika mereka Kusuruh pulang ke rumahnya dengan lapar, mereka akan rebah di jalan, sebab ada yang datang dari jauh."
4 And his disciples answered him: where shuld a man have breade here in the wildernes to satisfie these?
Murid-murid-Nya menjawab: "Bagaimana di tempat yang sunyi ini orang dapat memberi mereka roti sampai kenyang?"
5 And he axed them: how many loves have ye? They sayde: seven.
Yesus bertanya kepada mereka: "Berapa roti ada padamu?" Jawab mereka: "Tujuh."
6 And he commaunded the people to syt doune on the grounde. And he toke the. vii. loves gave thankes brake and gave to his disciples to set before them. And they dyd set the before the people.
Lalu Ia menyuruh orang banyak itu duduk di tanah. Sesudah itu Ia mengambil ketujuh roti itu, mengucap syukur, memecah-mecahkannya dan memberikannya kepada murid-murid-Nya untuk dibagi-bagikan, dan mereka memberikannya kepada orang banyak.
7 And they had a feawe smale fysshes. And he blessed them and comaunded them also to be set before them.
Mereka juga mempunyai beberapa ikan, dan sesudah mengucap berkat atasnya, Ia menyuruh supaya ikan itu juga dibagi-bagikan.
8 And they ate and were suffysed: And they toke vp yf the broken meate that was lefte. vii. baskettes full.
Dan mereka makan sampai kenyang. Kemudian orang mengumpulkan potongan-potongan roti yang sisa, sebanyak tujuh bakul.
9 And they yt ate were in nomber aboute fowre thousand. And he sent them awaye.
Mereka itu ada kira-kira empat ribu orang. Lalu Yesus menyuruh mereka pulang.
10 And a none he entred into a ship wt his disciples and came into the parties of Dalmanutha.
Ia segera naik ke perahu dengan murid-murid-Nya dan bertolak ke daerah Dalmanuta.
11 And the pharises cam forth and begane to dispute with him sekinge of him a signe fro heven and temptinge him.
Lalu muncullah orang-orang Farisi dan bersoal jawab dengan Yesus. Untuk mencobai Dia mereka meminta dari pada-Nya suatu tanda dari sorga.
12 And he sygthed in his sprete and sayde: why doth this generacion seke a signe? Verely I saye vnto you ther shall no signe be geven vnto this generacion.
Maka mengeluhlah Ia dalam hati-Nya dan berkata: "Mengapa angkatan ini meminta tanda? Aku berkata kepadamu, sesungguhnya kepada angkatan ini sekali-kali tidak akan diberi tanda."
13 And he lefte the and went into the ship agayne and departed over the water.
Ia meninggalkan mereka; Ia naik pula ke perahu dan bertolak ke seberang.
14 And they had forgotte to take breed wt the nether had they in the ship with them more then one loofe.
Kemudian ternyata murid-murid Yesus lupa membawa roti, hanya sebuah saja yang ada pada mereka dalam perahu.
15 And he charged the sayinge. Take hede and beware of ye leven of ye pharises and of ye leve of Herode.
Lalu Yesus memperingatkan mereka, kata-Nya: "Berjaga-jagalah dan awaslah terhadap ragi orang Farisi dan ragi Herodes."
16 And they reasoned amonge the selves sayinge: we have no breed
Maka mereka berpikir-pikir dan seorang berkata kepada yang lain: "Itu dikatakan-Nya karena kita tidak mempunyai roti."
17 And whe Iesus knewe yt he sayde vnto the: why take ye thought because ye have no bread? perceave ye not yet nether vnderstonde? Have ye youre hertes yet blynded?
Dan ketika Yesus mengetahui apa yang mereka perbincangkan, Ia berkata: "Mengapa kamu memperbincangkan soal tidak ada roti? Belum jugakah kamu faham dan mengerti? Telah degilkah hatimu?
18 Have ye eyes and se not? and have ye eares and heare not? Do ye not remember?
Kamu mempunyai mata, tidakkah kamu melihat dan kamu mempunyai telinga, tidakkah kamu mendengar? Tidakkah kamu ingat lagi,
19 When I brake v. loves amonge. v. M. How many baskettes full of broke meate toke ye vp? They sayde vnto him twelve.
pada waktu Aku memecah-mecahkan lima roti untuk lima ribu orang itu, berapa bakul penuh potongan-potongan roti kamu kumpulkan?" Jawab mereka: "Dua belas bakul."
20 When I brake. vii. amonge. iiii. M. How many basketes of the levinges of broken meate toke ye vp? they sayde. vii.
"Dan pada waktu tujuh roti untuk empat ribu orang itu, berapa bakul penuh potongan-potongan roti kamu kumpulkan?" Jawab mereka: "Tujuh bakul."
21 And he sayde vnto the: how is it yt ye vnderstonde not?
Lalu kata-Nya kepada mereka: "Masihkah kamu belum mengerti?"
22 And he came to Bethsaida and they brought a blynde man vnto him and desyred him to touche him.
Kemudian tibalah Yesus dan murid-murid-Nya di Betsaida. Di situ orang membawa kepada Yesus seorang buta dan mereka memohon kepada-Nya, supaya Ia menjamah dia.
23 And he caught the blynde by the honde and leade him out of the toune and spat in his eyes and put his hondes apon him and axed him whether he saw ought.
Yesus memegang tangan orang buta itu dan membawa dia ke luar kampung. Lalu Ia meludahi mata orang itu dan meletakkan tangan-Nya atasnya, dan bertanya: "Sudahkah kaulihat sesuatu?"
24 And he loked vp and sayde: I se ye men: For I se the walke as they were trees.
Orang itu memandang ke depan, lalu berkata: "Aku melihat orang, sebab melihat mereka berjalan-jalan, tetapi tampaknya seperti pohon-pohon."
25 After that he put his hondes agayne apon his eyes and made him see. And he was restored to his sight and sawe every ma clerly.
Yesus meletakkan lagi tangan-Nya pada mata orang itu, maka orang itu sungguh-sungguh melihat dan telah sembuh, sehingga ia dapat melihat segala sesuatu dengan jelas.
26 And he sent him home to his housse sayinge: nether goo into the toune nor tell it to eny in the toune.
Sesudah itu Yesus menyuruh dia pulang ke rumahnya dan berkata: "Jangan masuk ke kampung!"
27 And Iesus went out and his disciples into the tounes that longe to the cite called Cesarea Philippi. Aud by the waye he axed his disciples sayinge: whom do men saye yt I am?
Kemudian Yesus beserta murid-murid-Nya berangkat ke kampung-kampung di sekitar Kaisarea Filipi. Di tengah jalan Ia bertanya kepada murid-murid-Nya, kata-Nya: "Kata orang, siapakah Aku ini?"
28 And they answered: some saye that thou arte Iohn Baptiste: some saye Helyas: and some one of the Prophetes.
Jawab mereka: "Ada yang mengatakan: Yohanes Pembaptis, ada juga yang mengatakan: Elia, ada pula yang mengatakan: seorang dari para nabi."
29 And he sayde vnto the: But whom saye ye that I am? Peter answered and sayd vnto him: Thou arte very Christe.
Ia bertanya kepada mereka: "Tetapi apa katamu, siapakah Aku ini?" Maka jawab Petrus: "Engkau adalah Mesias!"
30 And he charged them that they shuld tell no man of it.
Lalu Yesus melarang mereka dengan keras supaya jangan memberitahukan kepada siapapun tentang Dia.
31 And he beganne to teache them how that the sonne of man must suffre many thinges and shuld be reproved of the elders and of the hye prestes and scribes and be kylled and after thre dayes aryse agayne.
Kemudian mulailah Yesus mengajarkan kepada mereka, bahwa Anak Manusia harus menanggung banyak penderitaan dan ditolak oleh tua-tua, imam-imam kepala dan ahli-ahli Taurat, lalu dibunuh dan bangkit sesudah tiga hari.
32 And he spake that sayinge openly. And Peter toke him asyde and began to chyde him.
Hal ini dikatakan-Nya dengan terus terang. Tetapi Petrus menarik Yesus ke samping dan menegor Dia.
33 Then he tourned aboute and looked on his disciples and rebuked Peter sayinge: Goo after me Satan. For thou saverest not ye thinges of God but the thinges of men.
Maka berpalinglah Yesus dan sambil memandang murid-murid-Nya Ia memarahi Petrus, kata-Nya: "Enyahlah Iblis, sebab engkau bukan memikirkan apa yang dipikirkan Allah, melainkan apa yang dipikirkan manusia."
34 And he called the people vnto him with his disciples also and sayd vnto them: Whosoever will folowe me let him forsake him sylfe and take vp his crosse and folowe me.
Lalu Yesus memanggil orang banyak dan murid-murid-Nya dan berkata kepada mereka: "Setiap orang yang mau mengikut Aku, ia harus menyangkal dirinya, memikul salibnya dan mengikut Aku.
35 For whosoever will save his lyfe shall lose it But whosoever shall lose his lyfe for my sake and ye gospels ye same shall save it.
Karena siapa yang mau menyelamatkan nyawanya, ia akan kehilangan nyawanya; tetapi barangsiapa kehilangan nyawanya karena Aku dan karena Injil, ia akan menyelamatkannya.
36 What shall it profet a ma yf he shuld wynne all ye worlde and loose his awne soule?
Apa gunanya seorang memperoleh seluruh dunia, tetapi ia kehilangan nyawanya.
37 or els what shall a ma geve to redeme his soule agayne?
Karena apakah yang dapat diberikannya sebagai ganti nyawanya?
38 Whosoever therfore shall be asshamed of me and of my wordes amonge this advoutrous and sinfull generacion: of him shall the sonne of man be ashamed when he cometh in the glory of his father wt the holy angels.
Sebab barangsiapa malu karena Aku dan karena perkataan-Ku di tengah-tengah angkatan yang tidak setia dan berdosa ini, Anak Manusiapun akan malu karena orang itu apabila Ia datang kelak dalam kemuliaan Bapa-Nya, diiringi malaikat-malaikat kudus."
